Purchased a Toshiba portable air conditioner ..I actually purchased three one of them kept tripping my electric panel out so the electrician came out and said it was faulty and said if it kept tripping out the panel breaker, the house would catch on fire so I went to Home Depot to return it unfortunately, it was 10 days after my purchase and you only have seven days to return the item I told them that their store policy didn't have portable air conditioners that it just said pumps and heaters, and I even took a picture of their sign and they still refused to return it with my proof of receipt so then I told them to pretend I didn't have a receipt and that I purchased it an hour ago when they try to do the return that way it said I needed a receipt. Mind you, it was just me and my husband there, and we weren't bothered by it at all. There were no customers waiting and no phones ringing. The guy apologized and walked away. I stopped by the Home Depot at Sierra Lakes around 7 PM to pick up a foldable table, and unfortunately the experience was frustrating from start to finish. At first, one employee did guide me to the correct aisle, which I appreciated. But once I got there and started looking through the different foldable tables, things quickly went downhill. I had a few of the tables opened so I could compare them and figure out which one I wanted. After a few minutes, I happened to look up and noticed two employees standing nearby just staring at me. They didn't say anything. No greeting, no explanation, nothing. Eventually I had to ask them what they needed, and that's when it became clear they wanted to close the aisle. The problem was that instead of simply communicating that to me like normal adults ("Hey, just letting you know we need to close this aisle soon"), they just stood there silently watching me. It honestly felt uncomfortable and awkward. To make things worse, while I was trying to move the tables around and put them back so I could leave the aisle, neither of them offered to help. These tables aren't exactly light, and I was clearly struggling to maneuver them on my own. They just stood there and watched. After I finally got out of the aisle, I noticed the same employee still staring at me from across the area, which just made the whole situation even more uncomfortable. Then I had to carry the heavy table I chose all the way from the aisle to the self-checkout by myself. Multiple employees saw me struggling with it, and no one offered assistance. Overall, this was one of the most uncomfortable and unhelpful retail experiences I've had in a while. My local Home Depot! One of the cleanest and easy to navigate spots for whatever your build requires! Love how everything is obtainable, customer service is definitely there and the prices aren't bad. Two of the departments I went to I was asked for help. I'm mechanically and engineered friendly so I know what I'm looking for unless it's a special request and or special order. None the less the selection they have a large variety. Nice and cool inside which is rare for Home Depot and they carry a good amount of stock. Only downside is truck parking succccksssss so if you don't see a pro area, your best bet is to go all the way to the back of the parking structure and tail the truck by the walking sidewalk area where it'll slightly cross the. Next parking stall so your long bed fits. Other than that, store is nice! Ohhhh ! The bathrooms! Also very well kept up and clean. A rare sighting for Home Depot! lol read more

I'm so disappointed . I was making a large purchase online and saw that I would receive $50 dollars off my purchase if I applied and qualified for the credit card. Terrible terrible terrible I have never experienced such bad service and I've shopped here so often and have met some amazing people. So I would like to preface this review and mention that there are so many wonderful employees and this is out of the norm however my experience was so bad I must share. My washing machine recently broke and I visited this location to purchase a brand new one. Met with a young woman in the service area to purchase what I need and was stunned to see the lack of professionalism. From her rude remarks to unwillingness to provide information, I was just told "I don't know" multiple times. She was able to finish the order with me and said they would reach out to set up a delivery appointment. Here is the kicker, she called and said they could only deliver my order in the morning (when I work) and there was nothing she could do about it - and that it wasn't her problem, after asking her if there were any other dates that could accommodate an afternoon delivery. After her rude remarks and lack of help she said there were 10 openings in the afternoon BUT she wasn't going to schedule it because the delivery team doesn't like to have too many on their plate. Never heard that before. We then get off the phone, I'm thinking that's all (and somewhat annoyed). She calls me again and states, "you hung up and I wasn't done speaking" which threw me for a loop. Long story short - all I came in for is a new machine because I currently have No way of washing my clothes and have had to put up with a lot of unnecessary attitudes and unwillingness to provide a service I am paying for. This review goes out to Dillon and the Customer service staff!! They truly went above and beyond Yesterday in retrieving my car that was towed. My father in law had a stroke in October and can't walk or talk. We currently have a temporary handicap permit that is placed on the dashboard. Rivers Towing located in San Bernardino hooked up my Honda Accord and a good Samaritans was telling him that they saw us and we do in fact have a person that is disabled. Well the tow truck said "I'm just going to park off to the side" and then he decides to take off!! I was approached in the store by the Good Samaritans and they even offered to give us a ride. Fontana police was a joke saying that they couldn't do anything due to the fact the towing yard is an independent contractor. I spoke to Dillon who is the Manager at Home Depot and he could clearly see that we were NOT in the wrong. He escalated the situation to upper management and they had the tow yard bring my car back! I cannot thank you enough Dillon! Rivers Towing does not come up on yelp and there might be a good reason for that. read more

Asked employee if he could give me a hand to pull the boards out from under the rack. He little me I was in better shape than him and walked away. I literally pulled out every board from my knees this after a knee surgery 2 years ago. Im 60 the employee was 25 yet didn't want to help and walked away. What happened to customer service. Let alone the unsafe situation he put me in while having to dive under rack and pull out boards. This took a whole hour and I'm now paying the price with cuts on my arms and now my back is killing me. Having worked and being part of construction safety this by far was the worse possible body position as for reaching, pulling, load overhead just bad body position. Being retired and now a wood worker I spend many hours in all surrounding Home Depot's and never has this happened till today. I called Home Depot to make a reservation for a rental truck and a dolly, the man who answered the phone at the rental department was so disrespectful, rude and unhelpful. First off, after being on hold for 15 mins, he comes back on the phone and says "hello, hello" and before I could even answer he hung up the phone. I called back and he hung up again. I called back, he puts me on hold and then hangs up the phone. When I finally get him on the phone, he says this is the tool rental, you need rental and instead of transferring me, he hangs up. It is so frustrating to be on the customer end of this attempted conversation. They were the only Home Depot in my area with the available truck I needed. I ended up calling the upland store and it was such a better experience. The Fontana store can learn customer service from the Upland store for sure!!! read more

Super impressed with this Home Depot location. Placed an online order for curbside pick-up, and the associate that helped us this morning was fast bringing our order out, and very friendly. I really liked the clearly stated pick up instructions posted at the curbside parking area. Very clear directions, and more efficient than clicking the link that is supplied once your order is ready. The link didn't load, so this was a welcome surprise. Finally when my purchase is complete, you've charged me for 4 items and you can see I only have 3. "Oh, you have to go inside to customer service to get it refunded." No one offered me an apology for the inconvenience of having to go back inside the store and wait in line again. I asked to speak to the manager to discuss lack of customer service. I was trying to avoid crowds by doing curbside pick up to help keep people safe. But since it won't be ready till Saturday I just go in to buy the few things I needed. What do I find? Lower prices then curbside pick up. So ur telling me Home Depot of all places is price gouging customers who do curbside pick up or online shopping to avoid getting sick or other people sick. Went into to shop on a Sunday morning. Lots of employees standing around talking and on there phones. Not very many shoppers. I asked two for help who just kind of had that lost look. Ya I a I'll get someone for you one said. Went back to his phone. We waited no one came. We went to customer service. Nope no one there.. two associates Coates talking near paint. I asked them and thought they were getting someone. Waited at the desk as there was a guy working hard with people in the return line. Waited and finally asked the two again. Oh she at lunch. Oh thanks tire telling me I replied. We decided we could do business on line better. Still had a few items to buy so headed to check out.
