It's an okay Home Depot - the entry doors are odd and in a weird place, forcing you to walk around mowers and such to get in. While small, every time I come to this location I find it to be a petty annoyance. I don't go to Home Depot a lot so I don't know much about how this one stacks up to the brand in general. But as someone who frequents Lowes more often, this is a very large store with a good variety of things - although most of it is mid-tier quality. This store strikes a bit of a balance between being aimed at contractors/pros and the homeowner so that's good. I dislike the locations that focus too heavily on one or the other because I very often find myself needing something from both categories on most visits. read more

Needing to grab some lumber for a project, this Home Depot is convenient, easy to get in and out of, and prime location for other shops. Like all other home improvement stores, they offer a great variety of items, to help you with your home DIY projects. Also, like their competitors, this store is very hit or miss, and hard to find an employee to help should you have any questions, or need anything cut down to fit in your car. At one time, Home Depot had a moto, "You Can Do It. We Can Help."...those days are long gone, and if you're able to actually track someone down on the floor, generally, they have no idea about the product being sold in their department. Bottom line, it's a good location to go to for convenience of hitting other errands in the area, but only if you know what you need, and don't need any assistance. read more

My first time at the Wendover Ave. location of Home Depot in Greensboro, and I was happy to see that it is just as great as all of the other ones. The parking lot was clean, despite being off a very busy thoroughfare. From the entrance, one can see the varied selection of products offered, with large signs designating sections and aisles. There were also several employees walking around to help customers, easily identified by their signature orange aprons. I was visiting to buy packing materials, and while I wouldn't say the prices are the lowest, I find tremendous value in being able to get everything I need in one location, and knowing that it will be available/in stock. read more

I had Home Depot do a whole kitchen make over for me, new kitchen cabinet refacing. 3 Speciality cabinets, new counter top and backsplash. the project started 2/23/2026 and already on the 2nd day they had screwed up. they were painting my cabinets white and had the wrong hardware. so it took them about a month and a half to get my right color cabinets. in the meantime my whole kitchen is on my son's bed, so he is sleeping on the couch and anytime we need a cup, fork, pan, whatever we have to go rummage through boxes on his bed. they get the right color in and still are short 2 cabinets. so my week and a half kitchen job has turned in to 3 months!!! this project cost me around $20 thousand and they refuse to compensate me any money for their MISTAKE, offering to give me a $50 gift card. We came in here against our better judgment to try to find something because we were passing by the store. We should have followed our better judgment. You'll find plenty of employees all standing around talking to each other in little groups. They're so involved with their conversations they don't acknowledge your existence. I've been frequenting Home Depot opposed to Lowe's a bit more lately, mainly for the service and availability of staff. Staff isn't too hard to find and very helpful, a few times they've gone above and beyond to help me with what I need. The products are pricier but also can find the better products ie Milwaukee. read more

Finally......my expectations for big box home improvement stores finally comes true. I was on a mission to obtain an adjustable workbench ( sturdier and cheaper than a sit/ stand desk) for my home office. As I searched the toolbox area, Amy made eye contact and immediately came to my rescue. She started by asking if I needed assistance and continued to show interest in my search. Amy was simply amazing. She provided exceptional customer service by locating the product, assisting the forklift driver and making sure we were able to load the product into our car. My Husband and Myself recent visit to Home Depot, Wendover avenue store we loaded a big cart of lumber by ourselves we got to the register and Mr, Manzoor and Scott saw we were both old, in our eight's and they told us to step back, they helped us and loaded the lumber on our trailer, they ask if anyone helped us in the back, we said no. one employee was on the phone laughing and playing, but he did not pay any attention to us. Went into Home Depot looking for a strip to replace the one for my garage door. Walked in and people were walking around without masks including some of the workers. Safe to say it wasn't enforced. The app said what I was looking for was on an isle and bay when in fact we it wasn't there. I had to track down an employee who then gave me another area that was wrong. Well I assure you if your looking to be annoyed and pissed off then a visit to this Home Depot will not disappoint. I recently moved to the area and needed to purchase a washer and dryer set. I went to the local Home Depot and as I did enjoy overhearing the banter exchange between the sales woman and a customer discuss there experiences serving in the military I was a bit surprised by what happened at the end of there exchange. The Home Depot sales woman said "what do you need, I'm in a hurry and I'm off work in 5 minutes".. I replied that I needed to purchase a washer and dryer set and I wanted to know what was available the quickest. Her answer was come back tomorrow. So I left and drive to the Lowes down the street and purchased a washer / dryer set and they loaded it into my van. BAM! What I know to be FACT is unless you know exactly what you need and are willing to rummage through there disorganized rats nest of a store don't ever choose Home Depot as a solution as it's literally more of a problem. This holds true at every Home Depot I've ever been to. They hire people who don't know anything and the 3 per store that do know what they're doing are so overwhelmed because of there competence, seem to have an ora of A-Hole about them, maybe because they are lifting the load for the imbecile factor. Just wanted to say thanks to Ms. Barbara for helping me today. I went to another store for blinds after checking their website to make sure they were in stock. Got there, and they weren't so I decided to check Home Depot. This store is huge and I'm not used to navigating it. Luckily Ms. Barbara was right there and glad to help out. The website said they had what I needed in stock but she had to do just a little bit of searching to find the size I needed as they were misplaced among the others. The price wasn't too bad either. I waited over 30 minutes for a "leader". The associate was amazing but the management here obviously needs to be reassessed and demoted. They couldn't care less. Even the associate said the managers are never around to help and they can't ever find them. Talk about lazy leadership with an inability to put the customer first. Very BAD Customer Service from HOME DEPOT ! Spent lot of money and loose days of work, for new carpet and then very bad work done from Home Depot. Without any advice, in 2 room, they didn't remove the bookshelf because was hold to the wall with 1 SCREW and they CUT the CARPET AROUND the furniture ! We complain to the HD Manager, and he wrote that installer don't remove nothing is attach to the wall, even with only 1 screw! That screw is required by law, for safety, to avoid the forniture rollover toward people, specially kids. Whoever worked Friday night on January 31st at approximately 5pm in the self check out is an idiot. Me and my boyfriend were buying paint supplies and were in a hurry to get home out of the rain. We were checking out and my boyfriend was struggling to ring up a flat head screwdriver (the bar code was ripped in half). The lady did nothing and stared at my boyfriend trying to ring up the screwdriver and did not move or do anything until I spoke up and asked if she could help. She then proceeded to yawn, rub her face sleepily and shuffle around as she tried to figure out how to ring it up. She asked "What is this?" talking about the flat head screwdriver. You work at Home Depot and you don't even know what a flat head screwdriver is?!! She was slower than molasses and was not being professional in her job AT ALL. I got so frustrated, I went and found a new screwdriver myself. This employee should not be out on the floor if she continues to display no effort or professionalism. read more

I would NOT recommend ordering anything to be shipped/delivered to your home. They got it so wrong. Part of the order was delivered- several doors down. One item wasn't delivered. At all. I have been to this Home Depot several times and it is consistently the worst customer service of any home improvement store I've ever been in. You can never find anyone in the aisles to ask questions of, and I have found that the vendors stocking the shelves are more helpful than the people actually working in the store. On multiple times I have tried to get assistance and simply cannot get anyone to help me. It is absolutely ridiculous. We are a long time Home Deport Member and were looking to replace our sink, stove, and install a kitchen vent. My husband spent 4 hours there trying to purchase these items and they couldn't figure out how to add the orders to our account (Store at 4425 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27407). Then the original sales lady told my husband that installation would be free. å after hours of being there and dealing with the manager, he backtracked and said it would not be free. They said that we needed someone to come out and take measurements (Home Depot Pro services a 3rd party company). Made sense, he came out and verified what we wanted to purchase would fit. Once we got the items delivered by mail, we called him back to install. We made an appointment for 10 am. Richard didn't show up and we tried to call to see what was going on and he never answered our calls. His wife texted that he was on his way. When it was 3pm and he didn't show up, we texted the wife and said forget about it as we had plans. She said he would be there at 8am the next day. At 9am he was still not here and we called him. He said he was busy having breakfast with his family. Then it was 11am and he still didn't show up or call and we were having family over so we told him to forget it - this is a week of this back and forth. My husband went to Home Depot and escalated to the Manager(s) after many calls and visits we got some other home depot people (again a new Pro Services installer) to come and install, the appliances didn't fit. They told us that we need to get someone to measure, which we already did. It has been three weeks now and we have to return our appliances and reorder. Who knows how long it will take to actually get them installed. THERE HAS BEEN NOTHING PROFESSIONAL ABOUT THIS WHOLE PROCESS. Something that we were very excited about turned into a nightmare! Went in motivated to do some DIY projects at home so I needed to pick up some wood and needed it cut. Asked several employees who either ignored me or told me they were busy trying to get a pallet of fencing materials down for another customer. One employee frustratedly asked me how many cuts I needed, was clearly annoyed at me quickly figuring it out, and then told me I would have to wait. A handful of employees started to gather around the fencing/lumber area just watching the pallets come down. Why?? Finally, the employee Pedro (forgive me if that isn't your name - it was either Pedro or Pablo written on his apron) runs past me towards the bathroom and says he will help me on his way back. It took two minutes to get the 4 cuts I needed, after I went ahead and attempted to cut the pieces myself with their makeshift help-yourself cutting center, and after all that time waiting they couldn't even cut the edges at 45 degrees as I needed. Maybe it's just the lumber section because the girl in the paint mixing area (I think her name was Madison) was absolutely wonderful, incredibly patient, and helpful in helping me to get the shade right for my wood fence stain. While I waited for my paint, she also help other customers and even walked them directly to the areas to find what they needed. The woman at the register (super sweet blonde woman) when I was checking out was just as pleasant and kind. At the very least, the latter part of my WAY TOO LONG visit made up for the terrible customer service when Pedro saw me finally leaving and offered to help load my car while he collected shopping carts. His kindness made up for my horrible shopping experience. I wish I could give the 5 stars for Pedro, Madison, and the woman at the register but when you turned what should've been a 30 min visit into over 2 hours for a mirror framing project, you really need to do better. read more

I am a regular customer at this Home Depot location for the following reason. OUTSTANDING staff that are helpful, cheerful, efficient with great attitudes. The online ordering is exceptional. Orders are usually ready for pick up in minutes. There is always enough staff at the order pick up area which is located just inside the front door. If you are fortunate, Kasey will be waiting on you, you'll be in & out in minutes. These guys simply leave their competitors in the dust. Keep up the great work. read more

Took forever to get a sales person in appliances even though two young women were supposed to be in the floor. When I asked the clerk to run specs for me on a dishwasher that would have been at last a $1,000 sale, she said, "like you're buying it?". I said need to go home and measure, etc. I needs tge specs. Her: that's a lot of paper. Me: You all are making the money. Then she proceeded to tell me I could pull up on line. Explained my PC cuts off and I can't read and print from my IPhone. I have never in my life (and it's been a long life) had a sales clerk complain about a few sheets of paper (& not her paper) when it involves a hefty sale. This was just laziness and rudeness. Also when she had started to help me and stopped to help someone else w a price. HD needs to train their workers on customer relations and how to make the customer happy. Not a lot of choices or brands for and not a lot of options. It's basically, take what you can get. I've been to this store on many occasions and it's always had terrible customer service. Seems like a lot of entitled people who don't have to do work just stand around and collect a paycheck. Had a contractor come out for HVAC services and the guy was extremely pushy and was trying to look at things I asked him not to. I don't like people trying to up sell me. Plus he was pretty rude about how he did his work. As far as I'm concerned Home Depot has lost sight of what it means to serve the customer. Very disappointing experience from a place I'd expect better from. Maybe they should get new managers and fire a few people to clean house. read more

I bought a washer and dryer from this location with specific requirements of needing my dryer door to open from one size when I ordered it. The employees at this store failed to properly order my dryer so that it was delivered with the door on the wrong side. After a year of constant phone calls with the poor excuse for management at this store, my dryer door still isn't fixed. The manager Kathy and her assistant Scott never followed through with getting things done. The other store manager Carlos never returned my phone calls. Do not buy a washer and dryer or any appliance from this location unless you want to deal with a years worth of headaches and excuses. read more

It's not like they give me a discount to do the work myself. I want to wheel up the cart, and have someone else deal with finding bar codes and bagging. I initially thought this was unusual... But I have now visited the store 3 times in a row and found ZERO open human checkouts. You either check out yourself or you don't bother. I didn't bother.
