Went to Home depot 7/01/2025. My mother was coming home from the nursing home and needed flooring for her bathroom and Kitchen. Also needed a stove and electric ran for it. I was looking at flooring and nobody was there to help. This is 6:30 am. I went to look for help and found most of the workers in the middle Isle. The heavy set guy was dry humping air and they were all laughing. Check your cameras around 6:45. I was looking to spend about 1500 dollars. You lost it over him. Maybe you should hire workers who work. Im not into overweight men dry humping air in front of me and my wife. I will never shop here again. 3rd time a BS scene happened like this. read more

Just my almost daily trip to my local Home Depot in Harrison Ohio where for the most part I run into very helpful employees whom I enjoy talking with and learning from. Finally picking up my last 15 bags of mulch and twelve bags of marble rock for the season. After paying for everything in the garden center we headed out to get the mulch through the drive threw they established in front of the store. My son and I unloaded the rocks into the back of our trailer when I noticed the rocks were green. I'm assuming they were just wet for too long. No biggie I'll take them back in. We left the suv in the drive threw and headed in. The cashier who had just rang us out told us to it go ahead and trade them in. We loaded twelve more up on our cart which only took about literally only a couple minutes and headed back to the front. When we approached I noticed the gate was locked. I asked if we were locked in and the head cashier Cindy said no you're not locked in you can go out the front. I said you can't let us out we parked in you drive threw while your employee was loading us up with mulch. She refused to open the gate at all. We had to go all the way around the store because she couldn't be bothered to open the gate that she locked up early. I confronted her after I walked all the way around the store and made it to my car 5 minutes before the garden center closed. She said that the garden center closes at 8:00 and I said but you locked up before 8:00. She had nothing but a smug expression on her face after looking at her watch. I'm all about helping people Cindy and you should be too. Someone in a position of authority should be a shining example to other associates and at the top of customer service. I always live by the motto treat others as you want to be treated. I've honestly helped multiple people at that store to load their vehicles and expect nothing in return. Shame on you Cindy, I hope regardless of where you are working you have a better attitude toward customers. My father is 72 years old he asked for help with several bags of topsoil in cases of the person standing there said no I can't help you with that that's a stores policy is we cannot help people out to their cars and load stuff into their cars I repeat my dad is 72 years old and if this is how you are going to conduct your business by not helping the elderly then you're going to lose a lot of business because let me tell you he then came over to Lowe's how great Lowe's is they put the topsoil on to a flat cart they helped him out to his car and put it into his car thank you Lowe's for taking care of the elderly shame on home Depot for not taking care of the elderly read more

This Home Depot USED to be heads above Lowe's in Lawrenceburg and was probably the best home improvement store in Southwest Ohio/Southeast Indiana. As late as last Summer is was neat, well stocked and reasonably staffed. The key words here are USED to be! We were in the store on the 3rd of July, of 2019 and it was a totally different story. There were very few employees in the store, so it was hard to find anyone to assist you. Granted it was the day before the fourth, but there were a lot of people in the store and no help available, and stock looked like it hadn't been touched in days. The aisles were jammed with stock that looked like it had been totally abandoned. You couldn't walk through with a cart! Not just one aisle, but numerous aisles! When I asked one employee if they had white pine 1x10x48s, he had no idea whether they had them or not, and he wasn't sure what I was talking about. When I did find the part of the lumber section I wanted, I found the worst quality of lumber I have seen in years...warped, split, and much of it was mold covered as if it had been stored outside!!! There was no one in the tool section of whom to ask questions when I went looking for a coping saw (there were none!). In the hardware section there were no plastic bags in which to put bolts, Wing nuts or washers and no pens with which to write prices or skew #s. When I went to the other aisle in hardware, looking for gate handles, all of the stock was mixed...brass handles with aluminum, 4" with 6", and black with unfinished...and empty bags where handles had been. And unless you went to self checkout, there was only ONE attended checkout lane in the entire store!!! The poor cashier had to look up every hardware item in a sizing book to get the price. I really felt bad for her. People were waiting for an unreasonable period. If you need to go a Home Depot Store in the Ohio/Indiana/Northern Kentucky area, go to the Home Depot in Florence, Kentucky... Well staffed, well stocked and a lot more air conditioned. I've always been a loyal Home Depot fan, but something has changed! Something is really wrong! If you really want a great place for your home DIY/tool/lumber and hardware needs, go to the new Menard's in Florence, they are eating the other big two home improvement stores for lunch. Better selection, better quality of lumber (!), nice outdoor furniture section, knowledgeable and FRIENDLY staff, fully air conditioned, short checkout lines, AND, they sell model train stuff! Aisles are always cluttered with overstock and often impossible to get through with a cart. Workers forget to open aisles to customers after loading stock. Never enough cashiers during busy hours - almost every Saturday afternoon the lines go halfway back the store. Great paint department but workers in other departments are not knowledgeable at all. Disappointing. Come on Home Depot, you're better than this! read more

I bought a Milwaukee M12 3/8 ratchet about six months ago, bought the extended service plan. It now breaks and I go into the store to exchange it like I was told I could and they said that I have to get with Milwaukee since it has been longer than 45 days since I bought it. This is why I bought it here is in case something would happen. I make my living with my tools and can't do without something for two weeks to send it in. I called Milwaukee and was told that they don't know why they didn't take it because they do not refuse broken tools from business. This is the last time I will ever purchase anything from this company!! If they can't give you customer service then why would I spend my money with them? read more

So I purchased a dishwasher from Home Despot. From the very beginning I had problems. The dishwasher was improperly installed and water leaked everywhere. Unfortunately, I was out of town and the water damaged the floor. Surprise, Surprise, Surprise. I called this place and got the runaround for 3 months. I had the manufacturer send a repairman and he determined that the issue was Home Despot since they had installed the unit IMPROPERLY which caused the water leak and subsequent damage to the floor. So the insurer for Home Despot refuses to process my claim with the lame excuse that I waited too long to file a claim?! Guess what? I can sue in court and I am still within the amount of time to sue for damages. So, Home Despot, play fair and fix the damage that you perpetuated! I do not recommend this business and will take my business to LOWES from now on. read more

I paid $10,000 in March, 2018 to have a fence installed and Home Depot contracted with a company called Backyard Services in Loveland, Ohio. It is now Labor Day, September 3, 2018 and the fence is still not complete, the work is shoddy to say the least and I have been haggling back and forth with this Backyard Services for months trying to get the job finished. Home Depot said they are responsible for service, but they have done very little to get this company to complete the job. DO NOT EVER SHOP OR DEAL WITH HOME DEPOT IF YOU VALUE YOUR SANITY AND PEACE OF MIND. THEY ARE NOT A COMPANY OF THEIR WORD. read more

The Home Depot false advertises free installation. When I added the items to my cart THEIR website popped up a box and asked me if I wanted free delivery and installation. Being a single 48 year old female who is an only child and the sole caregiver for her Father who is at home under Hospice care and terminally ill I jumped at the chance to get the $554.26 worth of products I purchased from them installed. What a huge help that was going to be. As a matter of fact when I put the items in my cart I was comparison shopping and the free installation is what sold me. A few days after I placed my order a Home Depot Customer Service Representative called me and said that my pedestals would be delivered via UPS and that a Home Depot Installation team would call me on 3/3 or 3/4 to schedule an installation date/time. On 3/5 when I hadn't heard anything back I called 1-800-HOME-DEPOT and spoke to a rep who told me my installation order had been cancelled. I informed him that I did not cancel that and inquired how we could get it reinstated. He called the store in Harrison, OH and said they told him that since I didn't buy appliances from them that I wasn't eligible to have free installation. That is NOT what their website, sales receipt, call from their customer service rep and follow up emails promised me. They all promised me free installation. I called 1-800-HOME-DEPOT back on 3/6 and spoke with a "manager" who was even less helpful that the original rep. He told me if I wanted to return them for a refund that I had to physically bring them to the store. As I said earlier it is just me. I do not own a truck or have anyone who can help me return them. Of course them picking them up was not an option because it was over the time limit to file that, only because I was waiting for a call from their installation team to call me....THEIR FAULT. I have filed both a Paypal dispute for a partial refund and a complaint with the BBB. Let's hope this million dollar company can spend a few dollars to live up to what they promised. Highly doubtful. I will NEVER shop at Home Depot ever again, even if it means overpaying. I will shop local or Amazon or Lowes. Home Depot is THE WORST. read more
