She could not be bothered that I was standing there wanting to know where two items were. I interrupted her to ask where they were, she looked disappointed that I bothered her. Then she told me the aisle, which turned out to be wrong of course. I used the app which directed me to the correct place to find pete moss and compost. I had a flat cart and I put the two heavy bags on the cart and then walked back to the register. Of course, all the aisles were full of junk. There were no customers anywhere to be found so rather than playing video games on her phone, Jordan could've been clearing the aisles. When I got back to the register, I again had to bother Jordan to check me out. She had to move the bags to scan them, and of course, she pushed them off the cart. Then learned the delivery plan was apparently DoorDash picking up a full patio set that requires a pickup truck... except nobody knew who was actually delivering it. Eventually had to cancel the order. For anyone curious how the process went, here's the story: The Patio Set That Never Came I ordered a patio set Tuesday at noon, Imagining dinner outside very soon. "Same-day delivery!" the website did say-- So I waited and waited the rest of the day. I waited till six... I waited till eight... But my chairs and my table were running quite late. Then ding! went my phone with a cheerful delay: "Your order's postponed until Thursday. Okay!" From six until eight you must stay home and see, Your patio set will arrive--possibly. So Thursday I watched every truck rolling by: A van, then a pickup, then some other guy. But none had my table, my chairs, or my stuff-- Apparently waiting is never enough. I called Hartwell Home Depot and asked with dread, "Where is my patio set?" politely I said. "Oh! DoorDash must pick it up first," she replied. "They haven't come by yet... though certainly they tried." "DoorDash?" I said. "For a patio set?!" "Yes sir," she said calmly. "Not delivered yet." I just got checked out by the absolute rudest person I've ever had the extreme displeasure of interacting with. I needed some more flowers and was being checked out by a young lady named Jordan and seriously, what in the absolute mess is her problem? Does she hate every single person on the planet? Serious question. She told me a different amount than was shown on the screen so I asked if she meant the amount on the screen? She said $39.74 and the screen was $90.74. She was so rude and began arguing with me and finally said, "sir I just don't care". I said if she didn't care then why are you arguing with me. I had originally said something like, "hey sweetie hope you're having a good day", which is a very general pleasantry exchanged in the South. She told me not to call her sweetie because it was very rude. REALLY? This your first day sweetie? Everyone speaks this way in Georgia and bless your heart for not knowing it. I came on this app to express my issue with this interaction and hoped maybe someone else might not have to endure a similar fate. I spoke with the manager and figured nothing will be done but then I come on here and see others have already made the exact same complaint. Quality of vinyl Jeld Wen Windows, as ordered thru this store/chain July 13, 2023 Don't bother. Arrived on 29th day, with a no return policy after 30 days. One window made backwards; some were bowed, and not straight.; one had cracked glass and two broken latches. Furthermore, the consensus of the window installers and the glass shop hired to replace the broken window is that these are poorly made, with inferior workmanship..and I couldn't agree more. Bought expensive deck paint and two cans we purchased extra for following summer to touch up our deck so we knew we had same color same paint. We open can and it has harden up so bad that it is ruined. Called to see if they would replace it and Alisha in that department said no that they couldn't and if even a little air gets in can it can cause it to do that and I said it had not been open since they had tinted the day we bought it and they closed it. Will not shop there no more and we have bought flooring and all kinds of stuff there but we will start taking our business to Lowes. read more
