went in for a "simple" battery replacemen. it was not simple, 2 hours of me explaining I'm not an expert on this and a lot of well me neither. I asked at the very least for a port clean on my phone. Before it was free, while I was there I was told I would not be charged by a young man. The woman in charge snuck in an extra port cleaning charge after wasting my time. I had been frequently the establishment for a few years now. And I never even leave reviews but this was just unpleasant and unnecessar, learn to talk to people. read more

Incompetent and uneducated people who work at this company. Trying to replace a Apple. Battery in an Apple phone. Has been a nightmare. They replaced the battery with a non-apple battery, which has made my phone pretty much unopenable. I have been numerous times to the store to have them remedy this situation. Each time they have assured me that they would put in an Apple battery which has not occurred. The manager was to call me Today to have me come in and once again hopefully install the appropriate battery. I never received any phone call, text or message. I have spent numerous hours and gas driving back and forth to this store trying to get the right battery for my phone. This store is terrible. Unfortunately i am now stuck trying to get them to do their job!!! As i have already paid for the service and battery. Instead of replacing my old battery with an Apple battery they put in a off-line cheap battery, which they never told me they did until my phone was not working . I purchased a battery that was missing the hardware, the terminal screw and nut. I found an old screw from another battery. That wasn't quite long enough as the hardware was not included with the battery as it should've been. I went in, several weeks after purchasing the battery, and explain the situation. The gentleman took the time to go and look for replacements. He found exactly what I needed. Gave them to me at no charge. A sincere handshake followed. Stellar customer service. read more

This has been the worst warranty experience I have ever had with any retailer. I purchased a vehicle battery from this Batteries Plus location in July 2024 with a 2-year warranty. On Sunday, November 30, I returned to the store because the battery had completely failed, it would not hold a charge overnight under normal use. I received a call back two days later on 12/2/2025, even though I was told someone would call me on 12/1/2025. Instead of honoring the warranty, the store refused to replace the battery because it measured "below 10 volts." That excuse makes absolutely no sense. A battery dropping below proper voltage is the symptom of the failure, not a reason to deny a warranty. That is literally what a warranty is supposed to cover. They then charged the battery for 24 hours to temporarily raise the voltage and attempted to hand it back to me as if that resolved the issue. A battery that cannot hold a charge is defective, period. Any trained battery technician knows this. I even asked, "Are customers supposed to walk around carrying voltmeters to make sure their battery is acceptable before bringing it in for warranty?" No one mentioned that when I purchased it, because such a requirement does not exist. It appears this location simply invented a rule to avoid honoring a valid claim. What makes this even worse is that an employee quietly admitted that corporate in Easley WOULD honor the warranty, which means the store knows the denial was improper. That strongly suggests the problem isn't corporate policy, it's this location refusing to process warranty replacements. I left the defective battery at the store and will be pursuing the replacement directly through corporate, since even their own staff acknowledges the store mishandled it. Customers should not be denied valid warranty coverage based on arbitrary conditions that contradict basic battery diagnostics. This store needs serious attention from upper management. Great service when we had a car key fob go bad. The battery was almost 7 years old, corroded and the buttons weren't as responsive as they once were. These folks cleaned it up, replaced the battery, and reprogrammed the remote-- then gave me a coupon for 10% off the next one! read more

As a woman over 65, I've had my nightmares with tech help in the past, but not here! Nathan provided top of the line service to me today. I was greeted immediately and offered help. He gave me the opportunity to explain what was going on with my husband's phone as well as what we had tried. He told me I had done all I could at home because the problem was most likely a failing battery. In addition, he showed me how he knew this, told me upfront what it would cost to repair, how long it would take and why it had probably happened. I couldn't be happier with anything. The perfect example of how a store should be run. I came in with a 1970's super 8 video camera that had no batteries. As soon as I entered the store, the clerk greeted me and asked how he could help. I showed him my camera and the only battery slot I could find. But it turned out to be empty, which would make the clerk's job harder. Without any complaint, the clerk worked around it. When we found that the battery we needed, he recommended the batteries he buys for himself, and when my battery choice didn't line up with his recommendation, he treated it with impartiality, as if I had chosen his suggestion. I took my daily use titanium band/Citizen ecodrive watch to her for a band repair. The band could not be repaired, so on my next trip I brought three battery operated watches that I hadn't used in several years. They were all 100M-150M water resistant watches. They had all been in water, and worked fine for years. She replaced the batteries in all three, charged an exorbitant price for each one, and all three fogged up within the first week back. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone. read more
