As mentioned by others, this Home Depit has a lot of staff (on my visits), who are friendly and offer to assist. The prices are comparable or cheaper than their big box competitors. Selection varies. My only complaint is related to their loading area. I purchased 5 carts worth of building supplies and had to load a hundred feet away because the loading zone was filled with parked trucks. Many home depot's have moved to loading zones only. read more

Great People (Employees) plus Key Hero. We accidentally locked ourselves out of the house. My husband remembered he had a key made at Home Depot new Key Hero last summer, and had the code to get another key. We made it to the store before they closed, and got two keys made. We went to check out. Home Depot doesn't take Apple Pay or type in credit card numbers to type in, our only way to pay. Travis called Jeri and she let us leave with the keys. Plus the kind people in line behind us offered to pay for our 2 keys. Montana kindness thank you all, and we got back in the house last night. We do plan to go to Home Depot and pay for the keys. I would not recommend buying an appliance from this business. I bought a $900 LG washer and dryer from them 3 years ago and almost 3 years to the day we had to replace the data board. Now it is 6 months later and same issue the machine won't work and had to replace the whole top instrument boards. Home Depot basically said to bad you are out of warranty and offered no help with getting it repaired or replaced. LG was basically the same until they stepped up and admitted the control boards were faulty on this model and year. It's running now but I am selling it as soon as possible while it still runs! read more

We actually love the employees on site in the Helena store. This is an excellent store. Our issues are strictly with the Home Depot's level of service after we purchased $4,000 worth of new appliances. I have been working on the phone for 2-1/2 hours trying to get some human at Home Depot to look into our delivery schedule issues. I have talked to five different people so far and we still have not been able to even confirm when the delivery is scheduled. We paid for professional delivery and installation services from Home Depot. We were told the appliances can only be delivered and installed at our location on Mondays or Fridays. We were scheduled for delivery on a Friday. When I tried to reach someone to attempt to pin down the time window for delivery, I was told it was scheduled for Thursday and not Friday. We are a 10-hour drive from our house in Montana. We are now needing to reschedule everything we had committed to doing today so we can rent our trailer for hauling furniture over, and get there in time for our delivery. Every step of dealing with their customer service was extremely difficult. We finally reached a human being after about 20 minutes of enduring constant repeated promotional ads in our first call. This was just the beginning of more than two hours of phone calls being dropped, transfers of my call to non-functioning numbers, etc. Please save yourself the torture I have been forced to suffer through. Shop somewhere other than Home Depot. There needs to be an option to rate the service at zero. read more

Home Depot claims to have a 10% discount for military, but what they fail to tell you, it is so different then the discount offered. Did you know, Home Depot does not apply it to even half of the stores items, and they also cap the amount you can save to $50 max? It is like an Easter egg hunt in the store to find what they are going to honor What a disgraceful way to do business. Veterans should know these facts, and also know that their is hope. Lowes Home Improvement all over the nation has much better prices in the long run and they offer 15% discount on ALL items, including special orders, and know their clearance items are so much more rewarding in the consumers favor. Note to self: I will NEVER shop at Home Depot any more. As consumers, Maybe you should replace your loyalties to a place where you can save more money. read more

Bought components for a heating system under Pro account as a matter of covenience (I knew better), which showed up missing a heat coil. Called HD and they said its not their problem, I have to deal with manufacturer. Already knowing what they would say, I called manf'r and they said I would have to get refund through HD. Had to order missing coil through another supplier to finish project for customer since HD would not take ownership of it. Don't do business with Home Depot, especially as a contractor, they are nothing but thieves and will not stand behind what they sell. Unless you're going there to burn it down, stay away.. read more

They should not even get one star. We purchased 6 appliances here. They were delivered. Our dishwasher leaks. We contacted Home Depot. After being bounced around for 3 weeks between Home Depot and LG and various offices, they finally sent someone out to check it. They see the problem but are saying they will not replace or repair it. They said we must have damaged it. They told us we can buy a whole new tub and get it fixed if we want. I would not recommend buying anything from them unless you are fully prepared to replace it yourself if it is delivered broken. Horrible, horrible service!!!!!!!!!!! Negative 5 stars. I bought a new dishwasher through Home Depot in Helena, MT--and chose to pay about $130 for delivery and installation. Delivered on a Saturday and water hooked up, but then: 1) They can't hook up the wiring because there is no ground wire. 2) I sign the paperwork saying it was delivered anyway, otherwise they will take it back to the store. Big mistake! 3) I find out my sink's cold water won't work. Not just turned off at the valve: no cold water. But I wait too long, thinking it is just turned off at the valve; I'm old an old lady, it's hard for me to get under there. 4) On Monday, I call Home Depot to get them to come back and fix my sink. They say sure: in 5 weeks! And no return on dishwasher now because it's been over 48 hours. I say: but you broke my house! Customer Service goes into complete stonewall mode; I signed the papers, now it's too bad so sad. Also won't let me contact the local delivery contractors myself. 5) So, on top of the Home Depot delivery fee, I pay a plumber to fix my sink (can't wait 5 weeks to use kitchen sink) and an electrician to hook up the wiring. (He is horrified that they left exposed hot wires underneath the dishwasher for that interim!) 6) Finally get everything hooked up, wash a load of dishes, and it leaks! Find out delivery guys never leveled it either. 7) Thought about small claims court, a big company shouldn't be allowed to get away with this, but it's not healthy to carry this anger that long. This is me sending it out into the world and letting it go. Buyer beware. read more

I wish I could give it zero stars but yelp won't let me. I have come in here twice now and both times I never once have been greeted. The customer service here really is horrible. I was passed by 4 different people that worked there and was never asked if I needed any help. I walked into this place in a good mood and walked out feeling depressed. The sad thing is no one helped me so if I got the wrong product, I guess I have to come back in. Called to get an answer to a question about my furnace and the gentleman was very helpful. He took time to answer my questions and made me feel as if my 'diagnosis' of the situation was correct. I felt reaffirmed and in a good mood as I hung up. My furnace is on the blink and I found the blinking lights, determined what seems to be the problem and just wanted to know if turning it off was all that I needed to do right now. We laughed about how the furnace didn't care that the thermostat upstairs had been turned to off. It STILL came on as if to say...."No No I have a job to do." So, I went downstairs and turned it off. read more

Made a trip to Home Depot to find Pocket Screws. The greeter directed me to isle 14 where they have fasteners. After looking up and down the isle, I could not find the screws I needed. I finally flagged down an elderly gentleman who worked there. I told him what I was looking for and he again directed me to isle 14. After I told him I didn't see them down there, he again stated isle 14 is where they keep fasteners. Again....no help. Usually I like the store, but this past experience left me feeling like there may be better options out there. read more

I know, it's 'just' Home Depot - they're everywhere and they're all the same. But...compared to some of the HDs I've shopped in, this place was a pleasure. Truly helpful, friendly sales team throughout the store. The 'twins', one in large appliances, the other at checkout, have smiles from ear-to-ear, make you feel welcome and deliver great service. I am so disappointed. They sold us flooring and said it would take 3 weeks for the materials to arrive and that we could schedule our instillation once the materials arrived. The materials arrived after 2 1/2 weeks but the instillation won't take place for FIVE WEEKS FROM TODAY!!!! So 700 square feet of new flooring just turned in to a TWO MONTH PROJECT???????? A totally typical Home Depot. You can almost never get any help here, there are never enough checkers, and of the few checkstands open, the lines are always long. I only go here if I absolutely have to. I wish this town had a Lowes. read more
