I went in here to help my mom to find a NO SOLICITORS sign. We found a sticker that looks like a name plate. There are also a variety of different signs you can buy too. Next time I return, Ill get the one that says NO TRESSPASSING. I sure beats to buy it here than buying it online. You can get these instantlly when you take the time to drive here. Went there for some fence pickets. I used to go to Lowe's because it's closest, but they've been having some really bad bad quality. The past 3-4 times I've gone, there's this gentleman that I haven't gotten his name to give him credit for. (He looks like he has some speech impediment) but let me tell you. He always seems to find me when I'm around or if he sees anyone. He ALWAYS ask if I need help finding something. Id be going around looking for stuff I don't I need lol, (Milwaukee tools ) and I always hear him near by always asking people if they need help Super super nice guy, I just want to give compliments to that young guy. I would give a zero review if able. We were at HD tonight to get halloween decorations. We had our 11 year old autistic son with us, When we went to check out at self check out, he excitedly told the female cashier "hello grandpa". Its a term of endearment he uses to great people. I told the cashier (Johnnie), he says that to everyone. Her reply was " I will beat you up!". I took it as a joke until I heard another cashier standing next to her say " I would have cussed him out, if he called me grandpa". I did not respond but did notify the manager, Mark of what had happened, he seemed shocked but was not apologetic and did not seem concerned at all about the cashiers behavior. Do you ever dread having to go for a pickup of a purchase? Well if you visit this store, you'll get there. Every time I visit it seems like something weird happens. The customer service is good but the online part will tell me my order is ready but when I went to the store it wasn't ready for pickup. Last time another customer was extremely rude and even the employees didn't know what to do with him. I guess that's not the stores fault but that guy is a regular and he should come with a warning label! It's hard to get help in this store if you're looking for something. It's a very busy store and I'm sure that is some of the issue but I see people online sitting in chairs when they could be helpful. I would recommend any other Home Depot but the Killeen Store! Well, I came in on Thursday and there was a totally different crew in Order Pickup! E should be promoted! She is helpful and got my order without any issues! This is more of a complaint about how Home Depot let Sales People come into their store and wear a Home Depot looking apron and we, the customer, think they work for Home Depot, but in fact are 3rd party sales people walking around the floor trying to sell me something. Bad form in my opinion. Let them have a kiosk, that is fine, but to walk around as if they are helpful employees is a misrepresentation. Please end that process. The customer service, store layout, and self-checkouts all SUCK. I shop late mornings to early afternoons in the middle of the week, so it's not so busy. The aisles are jammed with more crap that the Fire Marshall breaks out in sweats. Can't get a cart through the aisles. Can't find the product on the shelf. Go to the app, app says there are 42 widgets in stock, look at the shelf; zero on the shelf. Attempt to flag down ANYONE in orange... They look at the shelf and are puzzled, they look up Widgets on their computer and find that they are ALL on a pallet located on the far side of the store. Then they gotta find a forklift, block off the aisle, get it down. Get me my Widget, and reverse the process. Amazon can get it to me faster than by me going into the Home Depot. Go to use the self-checkout. Scan, scan. Goto pay. Can't read the chip, goes to swipe, can't read the stripe. Repeat 3-4 times. Me puzzled attempts a different card. Still nothing. FINALLY an associate comes over tells me that the card reader is 'finicky' suggests I go to a cashier. I look at her, and then at the closed cash registers, then back at her. I would, but they are all closed. I left my cart where it was and walked out. Went to Lowe's. The Killeen store is got to be the bottom performer for Home Depot. The management does not seem to care. The Temple store is MUCH easier to navigate, easier to find an associate, and a overall better experience. The Maplewood Minnesota store (#2801) is MILES AHEAD of the Killeen Home Depot. I have given up on Home Depot having anything useful to offer. This is the third time attempting to order a product. The item was not in the store which was no problem. HD employees assured me that it could be ordered and delivered. Weeks passed. Each call I was assured HD was working on it. Everytime I come to this Home Depot there are barely any workers, always have attitude, always to busy to help out anyone. There has been like 1/1719191 time I have been treated in a nicely manner and they asked if I needed assistance. I'm currently renovating my home and am always here but I hate this home depot with so much passion. You can start by firing the workers in the flooring department which are always my main issue when asking for assistance. As well as don't count on what is on stock online it's so ghetto here I guess anyone can steal and get away with it. So they always have incorrect inventory. Worst place in the world. A absolutely atrocious customer service. I had to make a return. With my receipt and i waited in line where it said returns. Brandi phillips the manager who was working the return area at the time was a complete nightmare. I waited in line by the sign that said returns. ( I can actually read a sign) She was over on the other side of the counter helping someone else. No problem. I'm patient and I can wait. The thing that ticked me off was that there was a couple waiting on the opposite end near the instore pick up area. When Brandi finally walked over to me I was ready, until she told me, no these people are a head of you, they walked up after me and stood in the wrong area. Now this isn't the couples fault but hers. It wasn't the extra waiting it was the principal of the matter. So then I had to walk all the way around to move my buggy to make room for them and their items. In between this time another customer walked in front of me with a flat loader with a huge item on it. When it was my turn, I could not get around the customer in front of me, so Brandi wanted me to walk all the way back around. By this time I was fuming. This was just ridiculous to play musical chairs trying to get taken care of. I would also like to point out the couple that she took first kept telling her to take me since they had waited in the wrong area, over the pick up center and not the return center. It was to the point that she argued with them about being next in line. I would suggest Brandi not work in a job where she has to interact with people. A job stocking in the back would be more geared towards her personality. As I said before I will not be back there and would encourage others to avoid this place as well until they can actually take care of their guests appropriately. Won't be back again. My husband and I contacted Home Depot regarding updating our kitchen. We wanted the cabinets refaced, new countertops and backsplash. Home Depot partners with statewide and the representative came to our house to find out exactly what we wanted. Over two visits and hours of decisions we selected the countertops, backsplash, and the color for new cabinets. we got a price of nearly $20,000 for all of this from Home Depot. After paying in full, we were told by Home Depot that this representative had made some major mistakes and had been let go. Then Home Depot wanted to charge us an additional $7000. When we argued with them that this was not our fault and that we were working in good faith with them and we should not have to pay it. They would not agree to do this. So they gladly canceled our contract and refunded our nearly $20,000 payment. this was a disappointment in addition to a major waste of our time. I believe we will discontinue shopping with Home Depot and give 100% of our business and dollars to Lowe's or a more reputable company. read more

I bought a palette of laminate totaling to roughly 2100 lbs, more than half of them are damaged/ misprinted. I set up a return which was setup by Home Depot for NSD to come get. The driver showed up in a freight truck and said he couldn't pick it up and would call or text to come back later that day. The driver never contacted me nor has he come back in the last week. I have contacted Home Depot every day trying to set up a pick up to return this palette. I have tried speaking to different representatives and a supervisor who have all given be different answers depending on who I speak to. I just need to retun this damaged palette of laminate so I can purchase different flooring. read more

My wife frequently purchases wow for her business, today she tried to exchange some pieces that were broken and they did not have enough to replace them all not a big deal until they tried giving her $4 less per board than what she paid for and they are currently selling, manager said that it was because a store in their district was selling them cheaper, didn't make sense to me specially since it was only 5 boards and they were broken, manager kept saying it was possible we bought them at the store that was selling them cheaper and were just trying to return them, i explained to him again that those pieces were broken and i wanted to exchange them but they did not have any more. Manager Terry said no we cannot do that, so basically for $20 he lost a long time customer, so we took our business to Lowes instead and will be buying from them going forward. This woman has a really ugly attitude and takes it out on her coworkers, i witnessed her getting mad at a young lady working at the self checkout area, Felicity was her name. Felicity was helping me at one of the self checkout lanes when the machine went down and Debra comes to help but she started getting mad at Felicity and was treating her so poorly and unprofessional even though Felicity was at the self checkout by herself jumping from one machine to the other doing her best to help her customers. This one star review is because of my last big purchase order. Normally the Home Depot workers have been great. But......when and if you need to purchase a large order (642) of fence pickets, the crew in the back of the store that are supposed to prepare the order get a little ticked-off if you are not purchasing the entire pallot(s). They come 240 per pallot @ 7lbs each, thats over 1700lbs. And when the trailer that I had has a weight capacity of 1500lbs, I divided my 642 by 3 trips giving me a total of 214 pickets per load. And that's what started my nightmare. I've never seen so many people who are getting paid by the hour get so upset at the fact that they might have to work. Let me just say that if it wasn't for Ms. Nadine in customer service, who knows how long it would have taken me to get my order. On my first order pick-up of 214 pickets, the forklift driver and his helper attemped to only give me 160 pickets because "it was late and they didn't want to break another pallot". When I refused the 160, the forklift operator got very upset cursing up a storm and operating the forklift in an unsave manner. I immediately found a supervisor who told me she would take care of the situation. But what I saw was the forklift operator having the same attitude and the supervisor seemed to be a little "intimidated" by this person. After awhile they brought me the remaining pickets minus 2. My son counted them twice, I counted them once and the count was off by 2. The supervisor who was helping me load the first batch of 160, counted them as well and lied to me and said that she was told by the forklift operator that my first order was 162. It was late and i had enough of these people so accepted the load. But before i drove away, I counted the entire load and it was off by 2 pickets. The next day I spoke to the "Angel" in customer service and after explaining this nightmare to her, she said she would give me the missing 2 pickets plus what ever else i was supposed to pick up on that day. Since I had so much problems with the first order, I decide to take a full pallot on my second load and risk the trailer being overweight. Things went a little smoother this time. On my next and last order pick-up all I had to pick up were 188 pickets. I had the good fortune that Ms Nadine took care of me again and she "walked" me over to the loading area and "instructed" a different forklift operator to get my order and load it on my trailer. And again this new operator was upset that he would have to break another full pallet. And insisted that I "buy the remaing 52 pickets and make it and even pallot. I explained to him that I had already picked up the first part of my order and all I need was my 188 pickets. He made a "rolling of the eyes" gesture and went to the back to work on my order. After waiting at the loading area for about an hour, the Home Depot "Angel" (Ms.Nadine) saw me waiting and was amazed that I was still there waiting. She told me that she would find out the status of my order. She returned about 10 minutes later and told me that the first forklift operator had "pushed" my order on to someone else who was busy and would start my order as soon as he finished with his first assigment. But after 10 minutes, here came the new forklift operator who came to the front of the store, picked up a "new" pallot of pickets and helped me load my 188 pieces without any "attitude". I don't remember his name, but he was a younger guy with long blond hair and he was great. Workers should realize that they are only working to serve the customer and not have a lazy attitude when it comes to doing your job. There may be times when you have get off your forklift to actually do some kind of work. read more

I'm a first time home owner away from my entire family (who usually help me with any pest/insect problems) and when I moved my stuff from storage to my house I noticed a ton of spiders including about 6 spider egg sacs. Ester was SO helpful and told me exactly what products to buy, how to use them, and how to prevent further infestations. She made me feel like I had the situation under control, which was incredible because I thought this was a daunting task. She wasn't even specific to the home and garden section of the store. I purchased a LG refrigerator from Home Depot in Killeen on 9 AUG 17 for $2,629 and it was delivered on or about the 16th. It stopped working on 2 NOV 17; not even 90 days later. My daughter's house has been without a refrigerator for more than a week and it has been grooling trying to get it repaired. LG set up two repair dates and showed up for neither. The manager from Home Depot couldn't even waste two minutes of his or her time to speak to me on the phone. This is how I get to spend my Veteran's Day off; dealing with people who willfully took my money, that don't honor their product, and having to throw money in the garbage because packages of meat spoiled. Somebody finally showed up today to diagnose the problem. My daughter is on her second week without a refrigerator. Please keep in mind, Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away. This situation has been handled poorly by both LG and Home Depot. The manager should have answered the phone and not sent a message back by the operator. Home Depot offered a credit card and a credit on your statement depending on the amount you spend. I spent a little over $300 and was to get a $50 credit. But no, the card has to be used within 30 days of activation. I don't have any paperwork, but apparently this is somewhere in the small print on some page, on line ?. While waiting for my husband to return with a cart in the hard scape area of the garden center, I overheard an employee be rude to an elderly woman who was exasperated and tired from walking all over also trying to find a cart. The woman was out of breath and asked this man where all of the carts were. He said they were in lumber, no one had brought any over this morning. She didn't hear or understand him, so he repeated himself, then told her he would have gotten one for her if she hadn't been so rude. She wasn't rude, she was frustrated and confused. The employee easily could have called over to lumber or a manager but instead told this poor woman to get it herself. When I called the store to speak to management, I was rotated through the phone system and back to where I started, then got someone named Keisha (I had to ask) who was snippy and very abrupt. HOME DEPOT LOST ITS MOJO! This place USED to be a place where I can get items that I know I made the right choice. After what happen today, I will find a new place to go! I go to a home a Depot because it's convenient to my home and the staff is really helpful. Today I needed to get a thinner for my paint gun. So I asked a worker, "Sir I need to get a thinner for my paint gun, what do I need to get for oil based paint?" The worker "I'm sorry I don't work in this department, I'll find someone for you." He referred me to a lady. I asked her the same question I asked the guy. She told me the thinner is on this aisle. I told her I know where it's at but wanted to make sure the one I have in my hand is correct! She kept telling me it's on this aisle. This went on for several minutes. I have went here for the past 3 days asking several workers what I need to paint my trailer. The first day I purchased paint, tape, several brushes and rollers. I asked do I need anything else for my paint gun for this oil based paint, their reply no. Later that day paint gun kept getting clogged. A brand new paint sprayer. The second day went back asked the worker, I came here yesterday asked a worker if I needed a thinner for my sprayer he said no, so I asked do I need to get a thinner he said no, maybe your sprayed is not working properly, so I said I have it in my car I'll go get it. Replaced the sprayer. I arrived at me destination the same shit happen. I went today and asked the same question do I need a thinner for my sprayer and if I do then is this the right one I need for the oil based paint I got. She said the thinner is on aisle.... Maybe I get the ignorant workers when I go at 6am. Maybe the dumb ones work in the morning and the smart ones work later...I don't know. Hopefully a manager or corporate answers my questions and concerns, because if you call the store they won't return my calls. This location is very dirty the staff was not very polite when my husband and I were asking for things, they also didn't really know where much was. Needless to say I'd rather go back to Lowes. Also as I'm standing in the check out line in lawn and garden the cashiers have been asked 3 times for help in the sod and they don't know what to do because no employees are coming to help the customers. The cashiers are having to yell all through lawn and garden for help and the guys in lawn and garden are getting attitudes and aggressive. I have used this store a few times now. Most recently was Sunday. The store is clean. The isles are not full of junk. And the staff is always helpful. I can't speak to the management because I have never needed them.. The 4 times I have gotten big items at this store I did not even ask and someone helped me load. Not sure if they where watching or just happened by. The lumber area is always clean and the equipment for cutting and ripping is well maintained. If you are looking for an alternative to the Temple store it is worth the extra drive to use this store. I have yet to have a bad experience here. read more

We have done business with Home Depot for quite some time for personal and our business needs.  Unfortunately, we will not be doing business with your Killeen, Texas store in the future.  All of our personal\business needs will be moved to Lowes for the Killeen area no matter cost, etc.  Numerous times we have been talked to rudely by your staff and receive very limited assistance.  This behavior has not been once, twice, or even three times.  It is every time we visit this location.  Of all the Home Depot stores, this one has no class, no customer service, or any type of will to keep customers.  This store also has an issue with veterans.  You would think being near Fort Hood there would be a different mindset about the military.  In any case, we are not interested in any business that disrespects military service.  In fact, I have never heard any other Home Depot speak to miliary or veterans they way Killeen employees do. After our visit tonight, we are completely done with any dealings with this store.  We encountered lots or merchandise surrounding the refund desk with people standing in line for refunds.  In fact, you could not even get to the counter for a refund.  We were standing in line for quite some time waiting for customer service (the other side of returns) in order to pay our Home Depot card.  These two ladies were busy with other customers for quite some time.  Unfortunately, your two ladies at the refund counter were too busy to assist the refund customers and had them move around to our side and form a line.  Neither had a customer just talking to each other about some dog.  One of your refund ladies decided even though we had been in line for customer service that we had to go behind the refund line.  This was not requested nicely or professionally.  We were told there is a line and we had to go get in it to get any type of service.  After letting her know we had already been in line before she decided to move her refund line to our side.  Needless to say, we left your store very angry for the final time with no service. I am just making you aware of this particular store.  We have never had this type of behavior at any other store and will continue to use other locations if need be when in those areas.  Most of our personal\business dealings are in the Killeen area so we will now be doing business with Lowes or anywhere other than the Home Depot in Killeen.  Thank you for your time to express my concerns. read more
