Typical Home Depot location. Not too much to say. Parking is plentiful in the lot in front. I guess this location has too many shopping carts, because the entrance area was jammed full of them. See photo. The layout is similar to the other stores. In other words, mostly logical. No real complaints. I found what I needed and was out in minutes. With that said, if in doubt, call and try to talk to a living breathing person first if looking for items that have low stock. Really nice staff here! They are very helpful and courteous. The store is clean and as of October 29 majority of staff I have encountered wear masks. They also have hand sanitizer and masks available at the entrances. Accessibility wise they have automatic doors and wide aisles. No steps inside. They only have self checkout stalls but there is usually a staff member assisting or just ringing you in anyways. read more

I ordered a Traeger Ironwood 885 online, this is a $2000 smoker... I chose not to have it assembled, I was travelling long distance with it so boxed was best, and realistically they are not hard to assemble let alone paying $200+ for someone else to do it. I show up to Langley Home Depot to pick up my order which I've been notified it's ready. It takes over 20 minutes for them to bring it out, which is understandable because they couldn't find it... Turns out it was in the assembly area with "assemble me" written on it. They brought it out to me, the box had been opened, I don't have a mental list of what parts should be included in this box but oh well I got my smoker. So I drive 1400kms, unload it, unbox it to get ready to assemble the thing. There are no instructions which is strange. I find an online video showing me how to assemble it, and the first thing it says is start with the "start here" box, which contains your instructions, all your hardware and the tools needed to assemble. Needless to say this entire box was missing... I call Home Depot, after explaining the situation to a few people I finally get the manager of the seasonal department. He says he'll look into it and call me back. 5-6 hours later I call back to check in, an employee tells me he has my info and will get back to me, but to wait until at least after the weekend to call back. I originally called on a Thursday... So I give him a week to get back to me. A wasted week just to get the answer of "call Traeger and tell them the parts are missing". He makes sure to let me know not to tell them the whole story, about how Home Depot had presumably got part way into building a Traeger smoker that wasn't supposed to be built in the first place, packed everything back in the box and forgot to put some of the most important parts in there... Instead of fixing the issue themselves, this manager's just passing the buck onto Traeger... So I call Traeger, 6-10 business days to get the hardware sent here. When I received it I thought great time to finally get this thing going. When I went over the instructions, it turns out there are more parts missing! -Mica washers for the lid handle -The meat probe -Both cross braces that connect the legs together at either end I didn't even bother calling Home Depot back, it would've been more of the usual run around, poor customer service, deflecting their own mistakes onto others, so I just went straight to Traeger. What a waste of time, it's going to have been like a month before I can even use this thing. Thankfully Traeger seems like a no questions asked kind of outfit and is just sending the parts that I need. I can only imagine how out of hand this would have gotten if left to the incompetence of Home Depot to fix their own mistakes. I have been a long time Home Depot customer, as most people have. They have a thing where you can pay $15 to escalate your complaint up the chain of hierarchy, sounds like another waste of time added on top of the rest of this... Hopefully they'll see this and realize what a run around this was and be interested in making things right. read more

The store manager at The Home Depot/200th St in Langley, on Saturday November 23rd 1:30pm aggressively, verbally assaulted my wife. Even his own Customer Service staff apologized for what he did to her. This happened after she inquired about conflicting information. I've only read about such things - never thought it would happen in a safe place like Langley, BC. I also never thought a manager would do something like this in front of witnesses. Understandably, we will be taking action against The Home Depot. No woman should ever feel threatened in such a way. read more

The Home Depot has a large inventory at very reasonable prices, which is the only reason I walk in the door. The staff on the other hand is a different story. They really should change their slogan from "You Can Do It. We Can Help" to "You Can Do It, Cause We Won't Help". Finding staff is always easy. However finding staff who are willing to put their conversation on hold to help a customer is very difficult. If you know what you need and don't have any questions The Home Depot is a great choice for home renovation supplies, but if you have any questions I would recommend finding an alternative source for supplies. read more

I'm 73 years old thought it prudent during peak the of the CoVid19 pandemic to place an order online and have it delivered. BIG MISTAKE. 4 weeks later, nothing. Their website tells me it is "in transit" and has been for a month....I live 2km from the store. It is impossible to speak to a live human by telephone, and their recorded prompts are useless. All emails remain unanswered. Not to cry poverty, but being on pension, I find it inconvenient to give Home Depot 50 bucks for fresh air. Do not be tempted to order online from Home Depot, and do not believe their promise of delivery. They contract out for delivery, then your purchase enters the void.....and Home Depot is done with you. read more

This is my "go-to" Home Depot. This has to be one of the best HD i have been in. Always lots of parking no matter how busy the place gets. Staff are surprisingly helpful and are knowledgeable. Shelves are pretty well stocked. There have only been a few occasions where they are missing what I'm looking for. Never had a problem returning anything I bought there too - that's pretty nice cause I usually buy lots extra cause I hate going back and forth to finish a project. The only negative is they got rid of Harveys. That place used to make the best burgers in town. Now its a Subway - BORING!!!! I guess its a bit healthier though - nah...who cares...i want my Harvey Burger!! read more

Beware vehicle rental pricing. The homedepot.ca website claims prices for van rentals, and lists the participating locations. The location I rented from was listed online, along with a price. I phoned to ask if they had a van available, and they said they did. When I arrived, I saw a piece of paper taped to the back of the rental monitor with higher prices than the website. The rates for the van were $3.00 more for the 90 minute rental, $4.20 more for 2 hours and all the way up to $12.00 more for the full day rental. Home Depot locations aren't franchises. They don't have the ability to set their own prices 'just because'. I also had to clean out the vehicle myself as soon as I rented it, because the last renter left a bunch cardboard and styrofoam packing in the back. When I told a rental employee about the left over garbage, he didn't offer to assist or take the garbage out for me. I left it on the ground outside the rental department. Wow this a constantly bad visit to home depot. All the associates were busy working on their carts and too busy to help customers. First associate only knew enough to say its in isle 4 second looked at the electric wire, shrugged and state she didn't even know what this was. It was an extension cord. Finally a third associate look at us and really exuded his displeased manner. It over there and you might save some money if you buy that. Our original request was to cut from bulk. Obviously he was not interested in doing work so he wave his hand and dismissed us. Then unto appliances. We saw item in sale and next associate was sitting at computer direct across from us. We asked a question. And got. This response: it's the only one and there the sign. Walks away. Hmmm so far four ineffective unhelpful staff. When we go to check out we encounter a slow but pleasant cashier. She didn't listen to the mi bag needed and firm of payment but she at least didn't walk away. All in all it was consistent in poor service. read more

I have always found the staff at Home Depot very helpful. Sometimes it takes some time to find one of the staff however I have always been treated with respect and the staff is very knowing about most of the items I have been looking for. Dan in electric has been very helpful. I shop here a lot good service, good products. I recently bought an electric fireplace, the person who served me told me it had to be "put together", in other words assembled. Well that is a broad statement, I'm a senior citizen and good thing I had hired a professional person to do this job. It was a nothing short of a nightmare, to put this item together. Nuts, bolts, screws, nails, and yes it came with a small tube of glue, it took both of two hours to put it together. I had to pay him extra for his time. The only thing I can compare it to is putting together a BBQ !! Staff should be telling people this information. One needs an engineers licence to do this! No kidding. To top it all off the clicker to turn the fireplace on and off didn't work! Home Depot did replace this, after I had gone to a local store thinking it was the battery and that small dime size battery cost over $5.00 !! It wasn't the battery. Last night my husband and I came in to purchase a fridge, and dealt with Dale. This man was such a pleasure to deal with that Home Depot will be our first stop for any appliance we purchase in the future. With that said, after we finished we went to the plumbing section to get some odds and ends. We had questions but customer service informed us that the staff member for plumbing was on a break and would return in 15 minutes. 25 minutes later we had to go back to customer service and ask if there was anyone else available in store to help. All in all, a fantastic store and we will return. read more

I purchased several items at the Langley HD and when I got to the checkout, their computer system went down part way through the transaction. ( due to power failure) I was informed that the transaction did not go through and re- entered my bank card information. When I checked my bank statement, I noticed that there were 2 debit entries for the same amount from HD rather than one. Next day, I went back to the store to correct the situation and was advised it would take a couple of days to correct the entry. After 2 days, I checked my bank statement and there was no change. I called the store and spoke to a rude customer service rep who said it would take 15 + business days to rectify which is unacceptable. Sadly, I carry the costs associated with HD's error. Lesson to all, if the computers go down use cash or wait 1/2 to 1 hour before purchasing. read more

Wow! worst customer service I've ever experienced at any hardware store ever. Asked an employee to get a folding table down for me from a top shelf, he says come back in 15 mins. I come back 15 mins later and he says " can I help you?" I say " I'm back for the table" he looks at me like i'm a big hassle and calls someone to get the table down.( He hadn't even started to deal with getting a table down yet,and it wasn't busy in there at all.) I sit down at his desk and wait for another 15 mins while he sits there doing random things, he eventually gets up and goes and looks at the area where the tables are for a few minutes, comes back to inform me that the guy hasn't come yet. At this point I had been there for 40 mins trying to by a table. Buying things in a store shouldn't be as challenging as this. In the end I walked away empty handed having wasted nearly an hour of my time. The Langley Home Depot really needs to re evaluate their hiring practices. read more

Unfortunately I had a hard time finding proven standard building materials I had used in the past as a contractor. Then to top it off I was over charged at the checkout on my lumber. Someone was trigger happy with the price gun. Check your receipt on the way out the door. I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

When you can get help, this place is great. Though I just had two horrible customer experiences today trying to find help for almost 20 minutes, and when I did find help the guy in the hardware dept could have cared less about my question. I also had crap service in the windows and doors dept when "Fred" got annoyed with me that I interrupted him with a question. Not impressed. Not a good HD. They don't have enough staff on the floor to help. They're very overworked and tired. A lot of the management don't care, and don't want to get their hands dirty. read more

First of all I would like to say that I usually don't give Home Depot in Langley a very good service rating. I often drive to Scott road location to get the service I feel I deserve. I do spend a lot at Home Depot and love the convenience of one stop shopping. Today I experienced the BEST service that I have received in the past fifteen years. I was purchasing a dish washer in the appliance dept. and both ladies that were working today, were exceptional in their explanation of the products and their warranties. But, I must say that Wanda really went the extra mile and certainly made my day by actually giving great service with a beautiful smile included. She was actually glad to be there and glad to be doing a good job servicing the consumer. I'll be back for sure because of Wanda. It wasn't just me that was impressed, my daughter and son-in-law were equally pleased with the extra mile service. Thanks again Wanda.... read more

Service as good, no problems. Bought a Ridgid Table Saw... tooks hours to assemble but a nice product

My granddaughter and I went to Home Depot last month because she needed a new washing machine. We picked out the one she wanted and paid for it. The man told us to pick the day she wanted it delivered, she picked the first Friday available. She works so she couldn't be there,it turned out so they delivered it on the Saturday. When it arrived, the guy noticed the box was damaged so he opened it outside and the entire machine was mashed in. He said he'd never seen such damage ever. He packed it back up and said Home Depot would call her Monday to set up a new delivery day. That was 3 weeks ago. She is supposed to get her washer tomorrow which will be Dec. 3rd. I think Home Depot could have been allot better with this, she has no washing machine and they were told that when we purchased the new one. It seems like once they got my money, it didn't really matter how long it would take to ship her new one. I would not buy a large item that needs to be delivered from Home Depot again. If you decide to take it yourself, your warranty on the item is VOID. So don't think that will help you. If the item doesn't work when you get it home, they do not have to replace it because they didn't deliver it. read more

I was at home depot in Langley last night and purchased some items. When I got home I realized I wasn't given all of my items so I called the store immediately. They took my transaction number from the receipt and said they'd put it at the self service till with my name and number on it. I went there the next day expecting a small apology for my inconvenience but instead was treated like I was a shoplifter. They wouldn't give me the bag without a receipt. which I didn't have with me.I asked where the common sense in this scenario was and I was asked where my common sense was. I then asked to see the head manager and was told the same thing. They needed the receipt to identify it was the right bag as this happens all the time! The bag had my name and number on it what more could they want? I say if this happens all the time they need new cashiers and a friendlier staff. This was their mistake yet they treated me like it was all mine. read more
