Within 15 minutes of me being there, I had 4 employees ask me if I was finding everything okay. Customer service was great on the floor. Selection, they have everything you could need, the building is just massive, their prices are super fair, and they offer discounts for military if you enroll in the program. read more

This past month I have spent at least $1000.00 in home repair items from numerous home depo stores. Each store I made purchases at offered "complimentary VETERAN discount", EXCEPT Lewiston store. I was told that they only offer this type of discount on Veterans Day..I was taken back, so I asked for the manager ,while I stood and WAITED and WAITED and WAITED the manager never showed up. By this time I felt my need for help wasn't important.. I am a daughter of a veteran ,I am married to a veteran and have a son who is active duty now, soon to be a veteran . I take great pride in knowing my family supports our veterans. My point is this........ Each and every person who has served in the United States military puts their life on the line for OUR AMERICAN FREEDOM 24/7 days a week while serving this country. EVERYDAY is Veterans Day to a soldier NOT just one or two days a year. I already drive 50 miles one way to shop in the lewiston area. I don't mind driving further for more choices in shopping and support those stores who support our veterans year round. read more

We can usually find what we need at this Home Depot store, BUT we have to find it ourselves. The employees are useless... willing, but useless. I recently had 5 employees trying to locate an item that they had in stock, but none of them could find it. The store manager told me "we know where it is". Really? Show me! No, we'll call you when we find it. I left my information, but they never called. Two weeks later I arrived to pick up an online order, and they had pulled a demo unit from the floor, which was covered in sticky spills, a layer of dust, and scratches. I refused delivery, so they went in search of another one (there were 14 in stock). They came back with a second demo unit in much the same condition as the first. Refund, please. Sometimes we have to shop at this Home Depot because there are few hardware stores to choose from in the quad cities. I've had stellar experiences at other HD's outside of this area, but not here. read more

Purchased an appliance with a 5 year warranty. The appliance discontinued working immediately after purchase. Service fore repair has been terrible, repair folks have not arrived or show up unannounced. Warranty fulfillment has been a nightmare and issue has not been resolved after 8+ months. Wanted to purchase a Log Splitter: the price was $1600.00. I could not get service. I had one call back from Donna in 5 days. Their customer service was horrible. I was patient and professional each time I called because they never called back as agreed and I understand when people are busy. When I called them they always (yes, every time) said they were too busy--they'd call me back. Nobody forgets that many days in a row. I went elsewhere and won't shop at Home Depot again. Really bad and unprofessional service. Received a call that our shower was in & "ready at the door" for us. Upon arrival, the online order line was stuck due to the online order check out clerk picking out flooring with a couple. Not checking out an online order...picking out flooring...Our order then had to be retrieved, only to be given the wrong order, followed by having to move our vehicle multiple times, and lastly having the second associate drop the pallet off and bid us adieu assuming he was not going to be loading this up with us. Ultimately we did get help loading the shower/pieces...but the process took an HOUR...they already have our money, picking up an order should NOT take an HOUR. read more

I hesitated in writing this review. Strike one...Back in May, I ordered materials and scheduled work on a home that I recently moved into. My only request was that I would be informed of the day of installation so I could request that day off. I needed to give at least a week's notice to my employer. This project took five months to begin. The installation only took two hours from start to finish. I paid a lot of money eight weeks before getting the call for installation. Two weeks before getting the call, I had gone into the Home Depot to speak with my contact in that specific department to find out WHEN I could expect work to begin. I was told that he was with a customer. I walked away and returned 15 minutes later. I was then told that my contact had left to go on a break. I asked another employee at that department if he could check on my order, and perhaps give me an estimated day of when I could expect the installation to be done. I was told that one set of doors was in the building and the other set might be on the truck, "possibly in the parking lot". The employee told me that he saw the note on my file that I requested an advanced call so I could make arrangements with my employer and take that day off. I was hopeful to receive that call soon. Two weeks later, I am working at my job and I receive a call from the installer. He wanted to show up the following day to do the installation! My contact never called me so I would be able to request time off from my job! I was not happy! I reminded the installer that I needed time to give my employer notice. He screamed, "Well, you tell ME what day would be good for YOU!!". I wanted to hang up on him. I wanted to tell him that I want my $3200 in cash back and to forget about doing the job but, this installation was extremely overdue. A necessity that regarded safety and security for my family. I scheduled the work one week from the day when the installer called me. This employee's reaction was not only rude but unprofessional, insulting & disrespectful. Sub-par to say the least. This employee made me feel infinite, beneath him, as if I was nothing. This is NOT how I will be talked to or treated. This employee needs to be reminded that he is a reflection of the Lewiston Home Depot and this type of negative representation should not be tolerated. His actions need to be addressed. Following is strike two. Not too long ago, I went inside to look for a blind in window coverings. Due to the location and height of the window I needed to dress, I had questions. I looked for an employee in that area and no one was around. I viewed their displays and tried to find answers on my own. After wasting about 25 minutes getting nowhere and seeing no one to assist, I decided to find help. As I walked to a department near the front register, I saw two employees just standing and talking together. I asked one of them if she could have someone go to the window coverings department to assist with my questions. She acknowledged me and I went back and waited. While I waited, a couple came into the area as did a few other people checking out the displays. About 15-20 minutes later, seeing that no one showed up to help me, I went back to again ask for assistance. This time, I went to the front register where the employee that I asked for assistance immediately got on the phone and talked with someone who was on their way. I went back to the department and watched as the "assisting" employee walked up to the couple who showed up AFTER I did and he proceeded to help them as I stood waiting on the sidelines. I waited at least another 15 minutes while the employee worked cutting shades to the couples' specifications and had to redo them since they gave the employee the wrong dimensions. Finally, after waiting over an hour, it is my turn. The employee took 2-3 minutes with helping me find what I came to look for, I paid for the item and I left. This is not baseball. There will not be a strike three. read more

Absolutely NO customer service. Drove 2 hours, only to find out they didn't have what they said they did. I had called the previous day, was told they had pedestals, only to find out they didn't. The ONLY person working in appliances was overwhelmed. All of these young people standing around doing NOTHING! No one at any time offered to help, or call a manager. Last time for me. I had ordered a bathroom vanity and exterior door on line for curbside pick up. when we got to the store they said they had to gather the items for my order that should have been waiting for me. this took over 25 minutes for Them to realize the order was already pulled. then it took another 15 minutes to get someone to gather it and put on the truck. they are terrible under staffed and have no experience. this is sad !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's on my mind? Home Depot in Lewiston Idaho. We purchased a cabinet there and upon arriving home (90 minute trip one way) discovered the cabinet is faulty. After numerous phone calls they admit that ALL the cabinets on the shelf are faulty and online customers are also upset. Their solution? We bring the cabinet back! No offer to pay for gas, time or--the worst-- pain as we are both disabled (which should have nothing to do with the issue). Obviously Home Depot in Lewiston is NOT customer friendly. They are more interested in "managing returns" than in finding a workable solution. I could suggest several but they were not interested in hearing them. Spoke with the store manager, Mike, and he does not care of we post a negative review!. Really? Home Depot has a great selection of most things we've shopped there for. Sometimes the selection has been scant (there might be only one choice/brand), but usually there is some of each part we have needed to get the job done. The employees have been extremely pleasant, helpful, and surprisingly knowledgable. Recently when my husband was looking for a particular size and style of water line, the Home Depot employee took his time to make sure we were thoroughly satisfied. His knowledge was deep, and he gave more perspective on the options. It is also refreshing a few days later to see the employees who have helped us, and they give eye contact and make us feel like they personally remember us. I have been impressed that when I've asked where to find something, the employee immediately and personally takes me there, and doesn't just point me in the direction and say good luck. The only times when I've not been personally escorted to the item in question have been when I've quickly asked someone who was already busy helping another customer at the moment. They must fall asleep at night memorizing aisle #s and indexes of the store - it's uncanny how they know where everything is. read more

I'm from Seattle WA and have seen the Home Depot downtown Seattle manage under the worst of conditions and never lied, communicated, and never missed a deadline. This store gave me a date I would receive my order... That date came and said there was trouble with the truck... then it changed to there are many orders ahead of me... That resulted in a date pushed two weeks out... That date came, we called twice... They then reassured order was on truck and they have until 8:pm... Guess what?? Order still never arrived... I had really terrible service here. I went to the garden center, customer service, building supplies, and painting supplies before an employee could actually tell me where the product I was looking for was located. Each time in each section, I waited for help more than 5 minutes, just standing around or walking around looking for an employee. When I did get help, nobody knew what they were talking about and couldn't give me recommendations. All I needed was a plastic sheet for my greenhouse; it shouldn't have been that hard! I live in a small university town and the drive to HD is more than 45 minutes. So I like the website and appreciate the selection, both in terms of helping me see what's out there mail order, and what is in stock if I'm up for the drive. In my most recent transaction, I was looking for a nice laundry sink and stand-alone cabinet for it, and am very satisfied with the one I got. Assembly instructions were clear, the unit is sturdy and I love the all-in-one packaging (base, stainless-steel sink, tall faucet). Good price, good quality, prompt shipping (it wasn't in stock locally - got it in a week). Good stuff! read more

I love shopping at Home Depot and have always found the sales people to be friendly and very helpful. Lately, however, it's a bit of a pain shopping there as the store is always overrun with dogs. We bought a brand new stove we have been saving for from a very nice sales team. Got it home, there was a missing cover for one of the pilots and the glo- light was broken so it doesn't work. These things happen so we called your dept. two days in a row and no one would return or answer our calls as to what to do. Drove the hr. today and were told, "nothing we can do, contact the manufacture" and the person in charge of this issue would not even speak to us. Going to return stove today for cash as we went to Deranleaus few blocks away, got same stove, less money and they offer service if anything is wrong. As contractors for bathroom and kitchen remodels, we will have to advice our customers to buy elsewhere so they know if there is a problem, they can at least have the courtesy of a call or in store meeting with the person in charge. @Home Depot read more

Today was a bad experience at Home Depot. My husband and I had just spent about $2000 on a bathroom remodel at the Lewiston Idaho store. We needed more tile to finish the sink backsplash. We went to the tile department and were met by a big guy and 2 helpers. The big guy told us if we were looking for tile that was there a few days ago it was probably gone because they were clearancing it out. In the end the tile was right where they were working. They just wanted us out of their way. What happened to -what can I help you find. This big guy would be better off working in the field where he doesn't have to interact with people. read more

The workers here were not helpful and Don in plumbing was extremely condescending. He refused to believe that I was correct about the size of garden hose bib on the side of my house. He repeatedly told me I was wrong and said "we cannot help you here" and walked away. 10/10 will not return for any assistance on remodeling my new house. read more
