I am in this Home Depot once a week. Most of the time it's fine nothing great but also no real bad experiences. Their lumber is warped and it's hard to find a decent board. That I agree with. But when a cashier refuses to sell you an item because they forgot to take it down is crazy. I even asked for a manager and they refused. So I said I am contacting corporate which I did and now I am here. It's not our fault you are not doing your job by pulling products that should not marked for sale on the floor. read more

I have to admit I am a huge Home Depot fan but the experiment of having a cashier at each SELF checkout at this store is annoying. When you have 8 self checkouts, 2 staff members and 6 people waiting it defeats the object of self checkout. You are slowing the buyers experience down to the point of frustration. Either rip the self checkouts out and install more registered with more associates or treat your customers with respect and allow us to check out. We do ok in every other retail store. I understand your store theft might be high but you could use your 2 cashiers to watch for theft. Your customer service is going almost to the depths of Lowe's. Turn it around Home Depot. read more

Today went in to check out some Polywood Curveback Adirondack chairs for our Fire-pit area. Found it, sat in it and really like it. Went inside to get some help finding more. Nancy the customer service person really went out of her way to help me locate the chairs. Home Depot only had 2 grey available then I would have to order 4 more. It just made sense to just place the order through customer service for all chairs. Nancy stayed with me through the whole order just making sure I got what I wanted. Then the order was delayed for more than five days, I want to cancel it but because it was still in transit they couldn't cancel it. Utterly unimpressed. I run a large facility management operation and went here tonight ready to put $4000 in Dewalt tools on out HD credit card as we are changing over our tool inventory. The DeWalt cordless tools are kept at the end of a narrow aisle, all locked up on the very bottom of a shelf in a cage. You can't see what they actually have in inventory because the boxes are all flipped upside down. The tool display above the cage is an absolute joke. Lots of price tags and tool descriptions but the sample tools are largely missing. Looked like a Going Out of Business sale on the very last day. Everything was covered in dust too. Naturally nobody around to help. So congratulations to their Security department for keeping their tools safe and impossible to buy. Ok, so decided to skip that nightmare and look for some Torx bits I needed. Nope. Didn't have what I needed but plenty of empty peg-hooks where they were supposed to be. At this point I asked some grumpy guy where the Great Stuff was. He pointed me to this aisle where I find them all haphazardly piled up. Of course they didn't have the large gap filler type I needed, which is the most common type. Total waste of time. read more

Okay.. so it's time to give a shout out the the Marlborough Home Depot. I'd give them five stars, except for three times when I went looking for things and NO ONE could help me. 1. I have a barn or gate style door to my bathroom and it needs a new latch.. well, the latch is fine but the little metal half circle the latch falls into is missing. Home Depot couldn't help. 2. I want to hang something on the outside wall of my house in my porch. I know they make little hooks that clip into your siding because I've found them online (but the shipping it as much as the hooks so I tried Home Depot). They thought I was nuts. 3. I don't remember what the third thing is anymore, but, damn it, I know there's a third thing... Now for the good. The staff here, for the most part, is very friendly and knowledgeable. Especially a guy named Jim the works in wood (yeah, I know how that sounds). I know him by name and I always see him grimace when he sees me in the store because he knows I need help with something... but he smiles and helps and that is good. But it's not just Jim... I think in the whole place I've only come across one guy that wasn't uber friendly and helpful. Also, they have a good Oops paint selection. I am not committed to the exact colors I paint my walls as long as it's close... so paying $5 instead of $20 is just plain delightful. read more

I used to love Home Depot, now I'm turning into a Lowe's guy. I mean, I still love going here. Or anywhere, really. As you get older, just being out of the house is like, amazing. I go here sometimes - had to pick up a cabinet so I went today. I got some light bulbs too and I needed a thermometer. They had none. Like, not a single old-school mercury thermometer. Now, I had just bought a few at Lowe's like yesterday - it was for a project - don't you worry - but I needed one more since my hulk-hands broke one of them and I happened to be here today. But no such luck. It's an ok Home Depot. It's a little confusing because it's a mirror image of most other Home Depots I know - which are designed such that you can find anything no matter which one you're in 'cause of how they're laid out. But well, it's ok. Also it's in Marlborough which suffice to say, is NOT growing on me. read more

It's a typical Home Depot. But not managed well. Went there on Wednesday and they had 5 aisles cordoned off for restock maybe? Why are you shutting down half the store midday on Wednesday? DO NOT buy the 5 gallon waters for your dispenser. They charge you $7 per bottle for new (no bottles to exchange) customers). But they never have full water bottles to exchange. So when I tried to leave the program and get my $28 for 4 empty bottles, they refused to give me my money back for them. I told the associate that this is illegal in MA for sure, and she just turned her back on me. Run down, clueless employees, and no one around to help, I'd advise going to Lowes. read more

Don't like to write negative review but I feel this time I need too. Bought new windows from Home Depot $10,000. Installed . They are great. My negatif review is about the installers, still open permit with the town after 2 months. I contacted Home Depot, few time, I talked to a représentatif that told me they will take care of it and a manager will call me back and take care of it. Yes I am still waiting ,nobody called me back. The contracter that done the installation at the beginning did call,but after talking to him, pointing out the problem, he was not happy, and never took care of it, and never called me back. NOT ACCEPTABLE After 5 months of phone calls to try to get the problems results between the town inspecter and Home Depot bad installation of the windows, that cause the town not to sign of on the job, ,MATT, the district manager of Home Depot ,did a wonderful job on getting the installer to redo the job. Every time I have been to Home Depot the past several years, I have been impressed by 1) the availability of staff during peak times, 2) the straightforward competence and knowledge base of the staff members, and 3) the availability of stock. This last visit proved to be no exception. A young man named Nate in paint answered my questions, walked me to the exact location of products I was in search of, and was extremely courteous. The customer service people were extremely courteous, even during a peak shopping weekend - and they helped out each other with anything that was stumping them. The only thing I wish - is that I had known (now in November with only a few hours warm enough here and there) that the exterior base I was choosing would take 3 coats to dry to the right color. Don't know if that is how it is with exterior coatings or if there might have been a one coat product. But overall, such a great store! read more

I first went to the Leominster Home Depot with a broken miniblind. The man in flooring told me it was an irregular size and the miniblind cutter was broken. So I went to Marlboro. Due to road closures for a Labor Day parade I got lost. I called and the staff were so patient and stayed on the phone with me over 6 minutes until I got on the right track. Once I got there the woman in flooring was great. It turns out the miniblind is a standard size and I travelled all the way here wasting 2 hours of my time and a quarter tank of gas due to incompetence in Leominster. I wish I lived closer to this location as it would be my go-to store. They know what they are doing. read more

I only come here for the plants, and I must say, they probably have the best selection of succulents and indoor plants I have ever seen. Usually, there's only one small section dedicated to indoor plants, with many of them not in very good shape or slim pickings. However, here, they have an abundance of succulents with multiple shelves and trays to choose from and most of the ones that I've purchased 2-3 years ago are still going strong. I've always been impressed every time I go here since there's so many different varieties and new ones to find. In addition, you're not paying a tremendous amount like other speciality stores. read more

I bought a drill here and it turned out to be pretty crappy, they exchanged it even though I had used it. He showed me that they did have them in stock but it would take about an hour or more to get them off the shelf for me to make the purchase. The delivery was cancelled without my knowing, and rescheduled for May 26th. It did not arrive again, without anyone being able to explain why and it was rescheduled again for June 1st. Ordered an over the counter microwave and paid for delivery and installation $450. The product was not delivered on the promised date, rechedule delivery was also not delivered 2 days later. WHen my wife called the store to speak to the sales rep, he hung up the phone on her as she was explaining her frustration. I drove over to the store to be told that they were backed up and it was not their fault. Blamed the 3rd party installer. I asked if there was anything they could offer me, since they put the customer FIRST. Rep told me best I could hope for was to wait until the item was installed then they would see what kind of incentive to offer me for inconvenience and time. I politely cancelled by $450 order and immediately drove to Lowes in Hudson and bought a new microwave and installed it myself. I will not buy an appliance from this location. Poor inter departmental communications and poor customer service. I don;t blame the poor folks at the customer service desk but I do blame the company and management for poor employee training. read more

We practically live at this Home Depot. The selection us great, it's rare that we can't find what we need. If they don't have it, it can be special ordered. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes associates will ask if you need help. Other times they seem to just wander around aimlessly. Sometimes you really have to search for somebody which is no small feat in a huge store. Typically they are helpful. Their kitchen design services people are fantastic. We needed new countertops and Susan was very helpful, knowledgeable, and even helped give us some other design pointers for giving our kitchen the wow factor. I loved working with her. The process was easy too, no issues at all with the installation and from in store consultation to installation, I was contacted regularly about my order and all questions were answered promptly and professionally. We also purchased our flooring here. On the Home Depot end all went well. They answered all of our questions and communication was great. We did not have them install the flooring since my husband wanted to do it and the contractor they used did not have a great track record. They also did our A/C. The price was slightly higher than 2 out of 4 of our estimates, but they gave us several options at various price points, we simply chose the more expensive option. And they could install the next day. There was a 2-3 week wait with the other contractors we consulted. We're very happy with this location and all of the work they've done for us. read more

He had such knowledge of gardens and gardening and was so incredibly helpful in understanding and conforming to my needs. John in gardening is one of the best Home Depot employees I have ever encountered, I will highly recommend this Home Depot to all of my friends and family based off of this extremely pleasant interaction. We ordered two appliances from this store. As they were high end appliances, we paid extra for installation. The appliances were dumped off, but not installed. The installers did not show. After two hours on the phone, still no luck. Now we have appliances taking over our home and no idea when they will actually be install. No apology, no concern about the difficult this causes us. Probably the worst Home Depot I have ever encountered on numerous occasions , asked for help from one of the employees he said he was going to go get help and no one ever came back to help or showed up, one time we asked for help with the screws and the gentleman we asked ignored us and walked away, another time we asked for a key holder and the kid said it was universal and guess what didn't fit the kid smelt like BO and weed and was barely paying attention and acted like it was an inconvenience for him to make the keys, another occasion I bought a camera doorbell for my home and the gentlemen at the self checkout station was extremely pushy and wanted to insert my credit card into the machine for me.. it's self check out for a reason get off my ass, another occasion where we asked where the stain for wood was, the older gentlemen had the worst attitude and spoke to us like we were idiots for not knowing what isle the stain was in, and lastly before I move to a different state and don't even have to deal with this store again, I called today to ask about a UHAUL trailer, the guy was rude and incompetent and had a really shitty attitude, told me I couldn't rent the trailer and it's his trailer and it had to come back to the location, I called UHAUL, and that was false what the guy had said to me on the phone, I will be taking my business elsewhere, this is the worst Home Depot I have ever encountered, if there was a Lowes in Marlborough I'd be at it every time I needed something of these sorts, other wise you have to drive to Hudson! Don't waste your time people, go somewhere else, I've worked retail plenty of times to know it's difficult but if we're generally being fucking polite with you and you're a complete ass, quit your job and do something else, no one did anything to you. read more

My husband and i were in the store 2 days ago looking for clearance ovens . My husband is a 30yr old disabled veteran who does not have the use of his right leg . We have 4 young children between the two of us and are on a very tight budget .That being said we don't have a lot of money to spend on a much needed oven. The sales person who was in the department said that they have one clearance oven that used to be the display .He said it has been out back for a while . Not even on the floor where people can see it . This to me is a waste of an appliance. When he looked it up he said it would cost us around 2000 dollars ! For a display that no one sees or apparently cares about . I told him our situation and that out budget was 800 dollars and he pretty much laughed at us ! Told us we won't find one for that price ever. The veterans administration is helping us redo our kitchen for when the day comes that he will be in a wheel chair . But there funds are limited so we have to get things on our own . I would never ask for a store just to discount and item that much but this model had been replaced and it was a display and it isn't even on the floor! So i went and talked to the manager on duty and explained our situation. I told him what our budget was and he said he would make some phone calls and call me the next day . Well he never called us so we went into the store today . He didn't apologize for not calling us and seemed annoyed that we even came back! He said sorry 2000 is the best we can do and that was it ! I'm sure he never even called anyone to ask . Is this the way they treat our veterans and there families.!!! I will never step foot in that store again and i will also tell my story to others ! So on our way out we decided to look around to see if we could find the oven and sure enough it was wrapped in plastic way up on a shelf ! read more
