On Black Friday 2025, I purchased a garage door opener From your Maryville Tennessee Home Depot. We also requested it be installed. Not having heard anything from Home Depot or the installer, I called Caleb four days later. Caleb assured me he would contact the installer. Three or four days later I called back. Caleb said he was giving the issue to McKenna. Several days latter McKenna assured me she would get back to me within a few days and would contact the installer. Days later I heard nothing back from her or the installer. On the 30th of December, 32 days latter I received call from a garage door company in Knoxville, who told me they would have a $150 up charge because of the distance to travel in addition to the regular installation charge. However, they told me that they believed the charges were being taken care of by Home Depot. I thought at least Home Depot is doing the right thing, even though they didn't bother to call and inform me. Rather than to assume this was correct, I drove the 50 mile round trip back to the Maryville. TN. Home Depot and talked to Caleb. He was very arrogant and dismissive. He said the only thing he could do would be to dismiss the companies travel charges. This, after waiting thirty two days to get a garage door opener installed!?! I asked to speak to the store manager. I explained the situation to Jeff. I also mentioned that given this bad experience, I was going to write a letter to the CEO and post a negative Google review. Jeff put his hands up and said, I don't care what you do. I don't care if you write a review or not. He then proceeded to do the right thing and dismiss the charges. If Jeff would simply have said, you are right, we are sorry for this inexcusable experience. We will addresss what happened and train our employees to take ownership, to follow-up in a timely manner. If this would have been Jeff's response, I would have been happy. Instead Jeff told me in no uncertain terms, he could care less. Effectively Jeff is saying I don't give a s*** about your negative experience! As a veteran, I have been a fan of Home Depot for many decades. Never have you been so dismissive, unempathetic and arrogant in terms of addressing an issue. We have spent a lot of money with Home Depot over the years and we were about to purchase kitchen granite tops, counter backsplash, etc. from you. From here on in, we will find a more customer oriented, customer responsive company to deal with for all future purchases. Cearly not that Jeff cares and more than likely, not that today's Home Depot's management team cares, but this is the review I will send to your CEO and post to google reviews, Home Depot review as well as other social media outlets. read more

Went on a Saturday with my husband to buy a wood chipper and co worker said some appropriate things to us that caught us off guard. The worker knew it was inappropriate because she apologized to us. We bought a Christmas tree tonight. I'd recommend bringing a tape measure. Our 8'-9' Frasier fir measured 7'9" when we got it home. We measured because it looked awfully short with our 9' ceilings. Also, bring your own twine and come prepared to carry and load the tree on your car and tie it down yourself. Last year we were offered all kinds of help on the spot. This year there seemed to be an expectation that we would do it ourselves. We got help, but it definitely wasn't a service they were prepared to offer. Some consistency of service year to year would be nice. I'm giving two stars because they did find someone to help us load our tree on our car, and he was very friendly and helpful. All in all, I'm glad to have a Christmas tree, but I will be buying next year's Christmas tree elsewhere. read more

I had the best experience at Home Depot this week. I found a Bosch dishwasher that was marked down. Alan discussed pros and cons of dishwashers. He quickly had the unit uninstalled and Ashley put me on the waiting list for their delivery truck rental. A couple of hours later they called to say the truck had been returned and was waiting for me. Checkout was handled by Jasmine. I ordered a washer and dryer from this Home Depot location. When they delivered to units I didn't find anything wrong with it, but they couldn't install the dryer because the duct was smaller than the part they brought with them. So it took me a about a week to figure determine/order/return/order again and finally install the dryer. When I started running the dryer I noticed that it was shaking heavily. So I turned it off and noticed that the dryer was wobbly. I checked the bottom and it was dented. I assume the trucking company dented it, but who knows. Because I called outside of the 48 hour grace period they won't do anything to help/mitigate. Be aware, ALWAYS check your deliveries, especially from Home Depot, THOROUGHLY so you don't end up like me. read more

I went to pick up a new cast iron sink, asked the guy in the department for what I would need to have it installed, he did not offer any suggestions and failed to tell me I needed a duostrain drain for the install. I asked for a home depot pro to install and he had a company to call me that does not even do the work needed and told me to call home depot to get the correct installer. I also needed some help loading in the cart and in my car. No offer from him to help and the checkout person said she would get help, then told my wife they were backed up and i managed to lift out of the cart and load it myself. The older lady checking us out today (Maryville, Tennessee) stated that vets was not eligible for a military discount because "you are only a vet" brought out her manual to show us a picture of our veteran cards were not eligible. She did let us know Lowes would give us a discount "because they take anything". We ordered appliances on 12/7 with delivery 2 weeks out. Delivery calls the day before with a delivery window from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They called around 3:30 and left a message they were on their way. They didn't show and at 8:30 pm we called to see what was up. They said since we didn't answer the phone they weren't going to deliver and we could get it a week later. A week later we get our window of 3;30 to 8:30. We get a call around 3:00 saying they are on their way to 212 Our street, our address is 211 Our street and mention to the driver. He tells us that he cannot deliver it to 211. So we didn't get our stuff, they never called us back about setting anything up and when we called them to find out what the problem was, I"m told that I have to cancel my order and re order it all. I guess Home Depot's time is more valuable than mine so I'll do my shopping at Lowe's from now on. read more

NOT VETERAN FRIENDLY. I'm a US Navy veteran and have used my veteran ID at numerous Home Depot's with no problem. The manager at this location only recognizes a few ID types ( active service, reserves, etc). I went to check out after being in the store for about 2 hours and had about $400 worth of items on a flatbed cart. When she would not recognize my veteran status, she simply said they would put everything back. So, I left the store. I'll never return to this store even if I have to drive 4 hours to go somewhere else. Go to the Home Depot near Turkey Creek or go to Lowe's. Avoid this Home Depot totally. I'd give the location a zero, but I had to bite my tongue and give them a whopping 1 only because zero stars is not an option. VETERANS STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION. read more

I too am a veteran , retired, never ever had a problem getting the veterans discount with my ID which makes me wonder about Marty's comment that his ID was not recognized. I am glad someone is checking them as there are a lot of fakes out there and it only takes a few to ruin it for those that earned it . Every employee in the Maryville store has the upmost courtesy for every customer and I have gone there a lot recently as I just moved to this area and I see and hear all kinds of customers and employees interacting . went to home depot to get a troy built mower in the Maryville tn home depot. and i applied for a depot credit card , they gave me a coupon. i tried to buy a troy built lawn mower from what they had in stock in back of the store, had it on the card an i ask them if its the one from back of store. they said no it the model number from the one in front of the store withe pieces missing and dents in it. we wanted one from the back, in which they did not want to sell to us. so i refunded that mower and went to Lenore city an bought one on the depot card, they did not use the coupon, said they could not use it on the lawn mower, so i went back to the depot to buy some paint and tried to use the coupon i got for filling out for a credit card, they said it was already been used, in which it hasn't. so do not fall for the trick of getting a coupon to use on any thing in store if you fill out the get depot credit card it is a gimmick . they do not take the coupon. I cried all the way home . for being treated so bad. went to Lowes and bought my paint, they where very nice. NO FACE MASKS Worn by Employees. Went to Maryville, TN Home Depot Friday May 8th, 2020. Saw only 1 employee in whole store who was wearing a face mask and no employees were wearing safety glasses to prevent spread of Covid-19. Bathroom was clean with paper towels, soap in dispenser and toilet seat covers. The hands' air dryer was being used by a customer, which can spread germs. More than half of the customers were wearing facemasks. I won't return to Home Depot until all the employees, and preferably all customers, are being required to wear face masks. read more

Home Depot is full of amazing things for anyone's home renovation dream! I like this location because of the connivence and products offered. The reasoning I am giving this location three stars is because it is full of incompetent employees. My parents are renovating so we frequent this location. Every time we have asked for assistance, the employees have no idea where the products are located. They walk us around the store asking other employees until they say either "I'm not sure where it is" or "we don't seem to carry that". We then end up finding it on our own. They have also given us false information and advised us to purchase the wrong items. Even returning items is too difficult. This would be a great Home Depot if someone would take the time to properly train employees. read more

I purchased all new appliances from this location and paid to have the store install them on. I've had problems with the dishwasher from day one. I had a maintenance friend come in to fix it, and not only did he tell me that my dishwasher was never actually installed, (no screws, lining, nothing, only scooted to the wall), he says he's fairly positive I was sold a returned and broken appliance with missing brackets. I'm thoroughly disappointed in the service and feel that the original service man cut corners hoping I wouldn't notice. I do not recommend using Home Depot's installation crews for anything.--- Update: dishwasher was sooo poorly installed that upon removing it, it is completely molded behind and underneath. read more

This Home Depot is the best I've ever been to, the staff is friendly and everyone is friendly. The garden department has a greenhouse and a huge assortment of succulents which I LOVE. There are some neat deals from time to time in front of the customer service desk. I recently purchased a seasonal printed Pur water filter for $5 on sale. This place is amazing for discounted grilling equipment and excellent customer service. I've been to may Home Depots where there is no one in sight to help load heavy purchases but here I have been almost harassed by associates to bring me carts or help me load. If I have the extra 10 minutes to drive to Maryville, I shop here. read more

Buck would not let me use my Home Depot card. He looked at it like it was fake. He made me go to customer service with my cabinets and wait so the woman there could "make a call to authorize the purchase." The lady at customer service spend her time having a good ole conversation with another employee for 20 minutes while ignoring the guy in front of me. Off to Lowe's now. This review is not so much for the store itself. I wanted to give a review for this Home Depot simply because of one guy in customer service. I don't know his last name, but his first name is Tim (in Plumbing). I had a water heater to put in and needed some information and assistance with a couple of things. Tim was friendly and very knowledgeable about plumbing. I was able to find everything I needed to get the job done. I appreciate good customer service, so I wanted to give a shout out for Tim. Customer service seems to have fallen by the wayside for a lot of people in that career area, but Tim came through with flying colors. If you're in need of assistance in plumbing at this location, look him up...that is if he doesn't come to you first. Good job man! read more

The staff at the store is friendly and helpful, the management not so much. We had a dishwasher installed in one of my rental houses and it was installed so poorly that the door hits the cabinet next to it and you have to fight with the unit to open and close the front of it. I called to complain, they sent the original installer out and he said it was fine and left without even going in the kitchen. Management would help because they say it has been over 48 hours. BS! Home Depot will not stand behind their work and installation services. Such poor quality workmanship and service. Never use their installation service! read more
