One part of the sofa was delivered damaged, unusable. We had a really hard time just getting the manager to replace the broken piece that was delivered. Within a year other parts started falling apart; motor went out, the inside of the sofa was cheap plywood, like cardboard. After the year we contacted the store and they told us to contact Capnip, the manufacturer. We did and sent pictures of the damaged parts. Catnip never responded and I think they have us on a scam phone because every we called, it just hung up. When we called the store manager, he was so rude and aggressive with us. We had to throw one section away because it was completely broken, we also spent about $100.00 to replace the motor on one sectional, and the rest of the sofa is breaking down as well. We can't afford to buy a new sofa as this one was $3,000. Honestly, we've never had a negative experience like this with a store. It's best to buy from a more reputable store, hopefully you will have a better and safer experience than we did. BUYER BEWARE.

I call Matt, the manager at store and was advised that he could not give a refund or store credit. I took the recliner back to the store drop off and discuss options moving forward. I was told by the lady at the front desk that no one there could discuss options with me and the manager Matt was gone for the day. Mrs. advised me to drive around back that someone would meet me there to unload the recliner. I have been a loyal customer to this store for several years and feel that I was treated poorly by Matt the manager as well as the staff.

It was my first time to Ollies and I was super excited. Started to fill my cart up, feeling the Christmas shopping bug and holiday spirit. Then I get to the rug section to look at a few rugs. A lady a few feet away from me kindly asked the young employee if he could help her look at a rug because it was under a pile. He looked at her like she asked him to dig to China on his day off, then he marched over and said, which one? I'll jut let you imagine his tone of voice. She showed him the rug and this is when I couldn't look away. He said, and I will quote almost exactly, " That is an ugly rug. You want that one, you actually like it? She said, "Well, I like the rug. He said, Whatever you want, but that's an extremely ugly rug. I couldn't help myself, so I had to ask if they knew each other. She said no. Shocked, I said, "If you were my son, I would give you a piece of my mind, you should never speak to a customer that way. A few men that were walking near me popped up and agreed with me. What a bitter miserable human being to want to speak to another person that way. He just smirked at us. I had to walk away because it was too crazy to confront any further. I said my piece. I was told there were no managers to speak with, so I am here. It's a shame, because I believe in giving businesses a chance to resolve issues on their own before going to the internet, but they don't care. I was super nice on the phone and told them I just need to make Ollies aware of the situation so that they could speak with the employee about his behavior or maybe he need to go home and sleep his anger off. Someone needs to have an adult conversation with that kid. Either that or he is trying to get fired or in a confrontation. I was born and raised in East Tennessee. People don't treat each other that way around here. That is what makes Knoxville so special. Okay, I have said my piece and hopefully Ollies brings up ethics and the importance of kindness in one of their meetings. It's the holidays people! P.S. Family owned and customized since the early 80's. You do not come across companies this anymore. They truly care tI make their customer happy. This is reflected in the follow up. Not just a buy and forgotten...Clayton Furniture has a customer value process that creates customer retention which drives return business. Probably why they have been in business for almost 50 years. Not a big box corporate sale to the consumer, it is a personal touch and will always be my choice.

Not only did I find just the right size, it was a fantastic price too. One employee really stood out for me and that was the young man Michael who put the shelf on a flat bed cart for me and waited patiently while I stood in a super line line. He was so kind in helping me get it into the van that I would have tipped him had it been allowed. Today was a crazy day at all the stores I went to (not sure why it looked like the last days before Christmas!) Michael was a joy and the shelf is just what I wanted.
