The only reason I went here is because Lowe's panel saw was out of order. This was my first experience at this Home Depot and it was awful. First of all, I walk in the lumber side, I need some OSD for a project I'm working on. At most I needed two panels cut down to size. The cashier I talked to when I first walked in was extremely dismissive, like I was completely bothering him and that I was the biggest idiot on earth. I asked if the panel saw was working, and if someone could cut some OSD for me. He said yes and to just grab a cart and bring it over to the cutting station. There were about 15 carts around full of various lumber and only two actually available around the plethora of forklifts. Then, I realize that there is no way I can lift a panel of OSD by myself, so I try to grab a panel of hardboard, which is still not very light. I end up at the end of the aisle in the cashier's eye-line, trying to balance this 8ft panel on my head to try and get it on the cart. We made eye contact twice, not once did he offer to help or even made an attempt to call someone over, he simply went back to his phone. (Might be a testament to current men in their 20s but I digress, chivalry is dead). Also, multiple employees were walking around, not one asked if I needed help, which I clearly did as this giant panel was almost un maneuverable for me. I finally get it into the cart and make my way to the cutting station where the young woman working actually did offer to help and called someone over to cut my panel, and finally, when I had some semblance of hope, he said the width can't be cut smaller than 12inches, I needed 7inch width by about 3 feet. At that point, I left my cart at the station and left them to help the man behind me. I walked out without a purchase past the same cashier that watched me struggle for 20 minutes to get a 4' x 8' panel into a cart and ended up so frustrated and pissed off at the service, specifically the cashier who saw me struggling and did nothing. Customer service at this store is terrible!! We (unfortunately) had to spend over $1,200 in order to complete our latest project, and once again had to support Home Depot because other local vendors do not offer the items that are needed. It might be the fact that we do our shopping in the late hours of the day that constantly allow us to encounter the rude and plainly displayed lock of customer service the employees at this Missoula, MT Home Depot rendered! I would specifically like to shine the light on the precious lumber crew that so boldly ignored us during our trip on October 20th at 8pm. Connor and his crew watched my husband at first, and then the two of us struggle loading lumber onto our cart and literally just walk by and later just sat at the lumber isle a few feet from us. I wanted to share my experience with the person in charge. It took a few minutes to be directed to the store manager. Trying to find this person was a struggle as well.... not everyone knew where the manager was or even the manager's name (female employee at self-checkout area). In any case, found the manager at the customer service counter. Shared with him my frustration! Apparently, the customer needs to request help from the store employees. It is not "common sense" for employees to see the customer need and act on it!! He apologized and offered to talk to the lumber crew. I can only trust that the manager followed through with his offer. I truly do not expect the so important customer service to improve at this store. I will definitely shop during the day hours, maybe at that time customer service is more prominent?? read more

I have always had good experiences here and never any issues when it comes to having to exchange things. Although this location is s smaller than many other Home Depot stores, they have just about anything you need, just a smaller selection in comparison to stores in larger cities. I have been coming here for 13 years, and have always preferred it over our local Lowe's. I have never had any problems finding help from employees. They have a pretty big selection of all the necessities like appliances, lawn mowers, grills, lighting, cabinetry and countertops, flooring, and much, much more. This is the only place we buy our paint and supplies because they offer both Behr and Glidden, which we prefer. In their garden department you can find landscaping supplies and in the spring and summer they carry a wide array of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals. They carry both organic and non-organic potting and garden soil as well as various sizes of pots and planters. Home Depot is always my first stop for anything "home improvement." read more

I found this store to be very dirty and unsafe with boxes in every aisle. I peeked in the receiving area and saw piles of boxes blocking emergency exit. Also the garden department was a mess and people had little or no knowledge about the products. Rose tried to be helpful . In the customer service area a guy named Keith was rude and also unhelpful. I have come here for years. The staff is mostly good, especially the cashiers. But I'm done coming in here. Their inaction on covid is enough that I will not be back here for life. Any time I see someone without a mask on, I say "Put a mask on." The last 3 consecutive visits here (2 weeks total), I've been in confrontations with anti-mask customers. Today a guy wanted to "take it outside," which he didn't follow-up on. The cashiers have expressed how bad it is to deal with these people. It seems quite clear that management wants nothing to do with enforcing their own policies on their customers. They do not care for your health, their employee's health, or the communities' health. I've been building a second home since March and I will not do any more business with Home Depot for the duration of this project or ever again. We have about $15,000 left on this project and will not spend any of it here. I've spent tens of thousands at your store over the years, but not anymore. I do really appreciate their customer service reps and cashiers. They are great. 95% of customers are too. Home Depot truly hates their customers. 4:30 Mon, us & 3 others we're told to leave the plumbing ailes because they are closing it down. What?? 10 customers in line & not a single cashier was open, not even the contractor side. Zero actually workers to take our money. 3 of the 4 self checkouts were working. 1 couple was on theirs for 30min, never left. No cash is taken at the self checkout. What is going on??? Thought I was in Lowes. Every time I go into Lowe's there are two or three employees clustered here and there talking to each other ignoring the customer. The last two times I've been in Home Depot it has been the same. Standing around waiting for them to finish their conversation is a waste of my time. Today there was a man and a woman sitting at a home improvement desk. I thought the woman was a customer. I found the item I was interested in, have a few questions so I'll wait until I can talk to the employee. As the woman starts prattling on about personal family business I really look at her. No she's not a customer she is an employee. I walk up to the counter, am finally acknowledged by the male employee. I'm talking to him asking questions he is answering and the female employee starts telling me it's discontinued. She doesn't even know what I'm talking about but it's discontinued. So thank you Home Depot employees. I'll go across the street where I have No expectations about being helped or ignored. read more

Home Depot is the worst company! I used to shop with them all the time and scheduled home repairs. Probably spent $10,000 with them over a 10 year period. Then one time we ordered a relatively inexpensive item delivered that never showed, but Home Depot's third party carrier said it arrived. It didn't. We told Home Depot but they said we had to dispute it through our credit card, so we did. But our credit card would not refund is the $150 or so, because Home Depot insisted to them that the item was delivered. It was not. My attempts to contact senior management were unreturned. A USA Today article on consumer options provided an executive email I tried to bring my case to, with no response. I now shop at Lowes and by now have spent much more than $10,000 with them. Checking out the local Ace as well. One of my life priorities is now to spread the word about how awful Home Depot is! Do not shop here. read more

It's like a nightmare doing anything major with home depot. I chose this store for an entire remodel and in the end am returning everything (thank goodness I didn't open the flooring). Ordered a sink and kitchen counter through the store. They said it was in a nearby town and would be here in 5 days. Would have been happy to go pick up but they wanted to ship due to C19. Five days was fast so I chose the product. It took 22 days. Sinks arrived broken in 168 lb boxes. 24 hours later and 3 hours on the phone, I've learned they will give me a whopping 15% discount to keep the broken stuff, or they would be willing to have it picked up and returned). To ship these to me and back could have cost no less than 1,000.00 as they are extremely heavy but they choose the expensive route rather than giving a decent discount so that I can pick out different counter tops. A month into my project with home depot I got nowhere. In fact it cost me money to do business with this company. Off to lowes to get in stock sinks for the same price. Massive shortage of help causes inability to access stocked items, as all the aisles are filled with pallets of unstocked merchandise, very dangerous, inconvenient, and unasthetic. I left 82 star review a few months back. Well they are officially down to a one star review. I do a ton of business with them, and I often need to order products. Almost without fail, and this is not an exaggeration, they screw up my order. I also always end up waiting anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes to pick up an order that I placed online. An order that was confirmed as ready by email. Why do I have to wait 45 minutes for an order that is supposedly ready? I'm not just a Home Depot hater either. I recently ordered some product from Kalispell as that's where I was headed. The same exact product I get from the Missoula store. Same order process, same email confirmation. I was literally in and out of the Kalispell store with my order in seven or eight minutes. That's how it should be done. read more

He was informative and conscientious and when there were other customers waiting he tried to get them help but still attended to our order. We received our blinds and we are very happy with them. I placed my first online order with Home Depot and it still has not arrived. It was supposed to be delivered to their store in Missoula Montana and on the 25th or 26th of January now it is the 1st of Feb., they are very misleading on delivery dates in their online store, almost fraudulent, considering they said they had stock on hand. The only reason I gave the Missoula Home Depot a 2 star is because they carry Behr paint products. That's it. Their store is organized like any other big box store, however, at the Missoula location, it is like trying to find a needle in a stack of needles when looking for an employee. My wife and I had a question once about a power outlet situation that was unique. I found an employee one row over from electrical and asked for advice. He did not even look up from his little store phone or whatever the hell he was looking at and stood silent for literally 8-10 seconds. My wife and I just blankly stared at each other until he finally said, "i don't work the electrical section" to which I asked if someone was and he said "ya I guess I can get someone over here." We waited literally 5 minutes and left the store. Never saw another employee. Only reason we go now is for the Behr paint. read more

Every time I go into Home Depot it is with cautious optimism. I think "Maybe last time I just got unlucky and talked to the few new staff members that just didn't know much about hardware or home improvement projects. Surely a place this big must have department experts, yeah, it'll be better today." Well not so much lately. I went in last month (August 2013) to buy a pole sander. "Hello, can I help you find something?", "Sure" I say, "I am looking for a pole sander". After many radio calls and lots of confused questions, like, "what are you trying to do?" I finally found one myself. I really love that last question, since they don't know what it is maybe I don't know what it is I need. Yesterday (Sept 19, 2013) was much the same. I was looking for lumber storage shelf brackets, you know, for storing lumber in a garage. I was asked what kind of shelves I needed and I explained that I really wasn't looking for shelves as much as the brackets or supports to hold lumber. The staff member then got on the radio and said she had someone trying "to display wood, to display, like, logs." I asked her if she had storage brackets for logs. "No, I am just trying to figure out what you mean by lumber storage". No one could help. It is not like I am asking about obscure woodworking tools here. I have decided that at Home Depot you won't find what you need, if you do it will be at no credit to the inexperienced staff, as all they are able to do is find 2 or 3 other staff members that also do not know what you need or where to find it. read more

What a clown operation. I bought into the idea of buy the carpet and they will install. HD does not do the install but contract with a greater clown operation called HOM Solutions Inc. In my first attempt to get everything coordinated a mouthpiece name Jennifer should have been my first hint, rude and mouthy and doesnt answer the phone. Eventually the install occurred but guess what, it was done poorly. Trying to get them to comeback was at best difficult. They failed to show several times after making appointments. They finally showed and fixed the loose areas then created another problem in the transition area. Tried dealing with Wayne, Home Depot Manager and he simply didnt have the authority, courage or command presence to enforce they fix it. I was left with finding 3rd parties to fix the problem yet those 3rd parties didnt want to get involved in all the BS with HOM Inc. So now a year later we have to look at removing the carpet since we cant get it fixed and eat the $5k we paid. They used the Sam Malone approach to fixing problems...ignore it and hope it goes away. I would rank them less if it was possible. Bought a refrigerator with delivery. Delivery person hooked the water line up incorrectly and the line leaked through floor into my basement. Around 3k in damage. Fought with Home Depot and their delivery company for a month and they are unwilling to pay for damage caused from their delivery person. I WOULD AVOID HOME DEPOT AT ALL COST! Avoid this place! A.) They store your personal info forever & sell to others; B.) they allow pets in the store, so if you want your crotch your sniffed by some idiot's dog while you are shopping, enjoy yourself; C.) Good luck finding help, as they seem to have no employees; D.) It is difficult to reach a person on the phone because of the aforementioned lack of employees. E.) Most of their products are Chinese and low-quality. I was dumb enough to shop there twice recently. The first special order was supposed to take 2-3 weeks, but took 5-6 and then arrived without hardware. Of course, I had to repeatedly stop in to find out what was going on because nobody in the store knows how to call a customer, and it is nearly impossible to reach someone on the phone. The second time I tried to buy carpet, but wasted my time because the computerized measurement said the are was only 250 sq. ft., when in reality it was close to 700 (!). Also, some incompetent employee changed the type of carpet that I wanted to buy (isn't that supposed to be the customer's choice?) and then told me they could not "back out" the order. Naturally, nobody could call me to tell me these things, so I had to put up with another idiot's dog trying to get a refund. Also, they have one carpet installer (!) and are therefore weeks behind. My husband and I purchased $2200 worth of cabinets and tools at Home Depot last week. After getting home we decided the quality of this cabinets were not what we wanted so we were going to return them and special order a better quality cabinet. When we purchased the cabinets originally we opened a Home Depot credit card so that we would get the promotion of $100 off a $1000 purchase. When we got to the store to return the cabinets we were told that we lose the $100 discount because once you return the items avoid the promotion. The sales associate called up a manager by the name of Marcus. When Marcus arrived he did not make eye contact he did not greet us he did not speak to us he directly went to the sales associate and said "what's going on". The sales associate gave a very brief description as to what was happening and Marcus then turn to us and said "nope can't do that". My husband and I explain to him that our intention was to buy an entire kitchen and bathroom including appliances flooring and cabinets.That if we were unable to get that discount which seem to be only fair that we would not be ordering those items and we would return everything else that we had purchased that had not been opened yet. Marcus said OK. Will drove across the street to Lowe's of where we order cabinets and appliances and everything that we needed. Our total was approximately $12,000 of which Marcus loss for the store. We returned a total of $3500 on top of that $2200. We will no longe shop at this store. read more

I bought a dishwasher a month ago from them. Was supposed to have it delivered today (after the delivery date was already moved back three different times), only to find out my delivery date was moved without my knowledge, unfortunately that delivery date doesn't work for me. The earliest delivery date they were able to set up was a week and half from now. I told their "manager" that this was a horrible way to do business and that I was sure if I would be doing business with them again, he told me he didn't care about my business anyways. Don't buy GE appliances from Home Depot. Most of them show up from Home Depot damaged, and when you do get them they don't function properly and GE does not stand behind their products. When I purchased a kitchen, GE Dishwasher was cracked and the GE micro hood was crushed. When I got one that was not damaged and installed it, it worked for six weeks before breaking. Over a month later and 3 service calls, I still don't have a functioning microwave and GE still needs to review the case further before they will replace it. Absolutely horrible customer service, and substandard products from General Electric!! Save frustration, buy other products. read more

We made a large purchase of kitchen cabinets and all new appliances (7 pieces) at Home Depot. The appliances were GE and a slate color. For all our deliveries, the appliances were unboxed and their condition was evident. The first time they arrived to our home we had 3 damaged appliances, some minor some major. Since we are building a whole new kitchen we wanted to ensure our appliances were in new condition as well. We sent the 3 appliances back and had them reordered. The second delivery, 2 of the 3 appliances were in poor condition. The buttons on the range hood were all rubbed off (looked used) and range drawer was dented. We sent those 2 back. By this time we were fairly frustrated. For the 3 round of trying to obtain appliances, we were called and asked to come look at them in the store since they felt that getting them in perfect condition was not possible. My husband went to look at them. Fortunately the range hood was in excellent condition but the range itself still had slate rub through on the top. We were basically told we needed to lower our standards and "this was as good as it was going to get." After multiple phone calls to management they made a concession and stated they would give us a $100 credit for the damaged range but we needed to come back to the store to process the credit. We are very disappointed that after spending $25,000 at Home Depot this was the response we got to our troubles. read more

I bought a dishwasher here and was told it would delivered to my house the next Friday. I received a phone call the night before to tell me my scheduled delivery time would be between 10:00 am and 2 pm and that I would receive a phone call 1/2 hour before they would arrive. I was also told that my delivery times could. It be changed. I waited until 2:30 pm for a call or someone to show up, no call no delivery. They called at 3:00 pm to say they could deliver with in the hour. I was not able to stay and wait for them to arrive. They provided me with a phone number to reschedule which would be an entire week later! When I called that number I was told to call the local Home Depot to reschedule - who then rerouted me back to the number provided from the delivery man. So I was then jacked around for another hour to get my delivery rescheduled they had to conference me in with the delivery company who was rude and unapologetic. I will be returning the dishwasher they can figure out where it should go now. read more
