1 Star -- Home Despot of Disappointment Let me paint you a picture. I planned, budgeted, scheduled, and prepped everything for a project -- only for Home Depot to waltz in like the three-ring circus of incompetence and absolutely nuke my timeline. They showed the product in stock. I repeat: IN. STOCK. So I ordered. I paid. I waited. And then the "Oops, guess it's not actually here" email came like a middle finger wrapped in corporate laziness. Now my entire project is on ice for a week. A WEEK. Because they can't manage a basic inventory system. It's like someone gave a potato Wi-Fi access and put it in charge of the website. Customer service? About as helpful as a wet tissue in a grease fire. You get transferred 6 times just to be told to call another store that also doesn't know anything. It's like being gaslit by a team of confused robots. Home Depot, thanks for nothing. You're not a home improvement store. You're a soul-crushing time vampire wearing an orange apron. I'm not at all surprised at this place has terrible reviews. I was looking for a dolly and the webpage said aisle 53. I opened up the maps and it didn't show an aisle 53. So I went out to customer service and I asked them where aisle 53 was and showed them that it didn't show it on the maps. The girl said she wasn't sure and she would check. Sat there sat there sat there. She finally asked somebody else who worked there and the girl said oh we don't have those. I said yeah you do it says you have a bunch in stock in aisle 53 but the map shows that there is no aisle 53. She says oh I think that it's out in the garden area. So I go in the garden area I find the dollies in a different aisle than where they're supposed to be. Grab it and then go look around for a storage tote shelving. I waved down one of the guys who works there saying that it says they have eight in stock and showed him but it doesn't say what aisle it's on. I said I would think it's in this aisle, aisle 36 because it has other shelving units in it. He was unsure so he looks it up and says that it says they have eight so they probably don't have any. He looks around in the aisle and says oh it's at the top, someone with the pallet machine will have to take it down. I said OK that's fine if somebody able to grab me two and put it in my vehicle for me because I can't physically do it. So he goes to the next aisle and goes to the two girls that are chitchatting and laughing with each other and telling them that a customer needs their assistance. He says that they have to do something and it'll probably be a while until they can help me. So in other words this store does not give a crap about any customer or about helping them. Then I go to self check out... Three employees screwing around chatting with each other not giving a care in the world about any customer that pays their paycheck. I'm a disabled veteran and not one of them offered to help me lift anything from my cart into my vehicle. So I bought that and I'll be going to Lowe's for the shelving read more

Having to purchase a new refrigerator ASAP, went to this Home Depot, closest to my area. Appliance staff was friendly & helpful; equipment purchased & to be delivered 11/24. Delivery department calls with delivery window; truck comes . We paid for delivery and set up with the extra parts they required us to purchase all paid for. Here's the kicker.... Door opens on the wrong side. My husband points this out & delivery team says Sorry it's not on the work order, you didn't pay the .01 cent charge for the door adjustment. So 2 phone calls later, my husband has to put a .01 cent charge on the charge card for another tech to come out to reverse the refrigerator doors , This is scheduled for a week after delivery. Can't believe this store would rather send out another tech for an adjustment that should have been taken care of at the time of the order with a second chance to fix the issue at delivery. All for a ONE CENT up charge! Good thing we have a Lowe's closer to home. read more

First experience was just... okay. However, every visit thereafter revealed the true direction this staff must get from their store manager(s): that of pure apathy for the customer experience. Example: a customer service member was half-heartedly attempting to address our current return need -- and not only were 5+ other people standing behind the rep (doing nothing) but they were actively looking at my wife and me... and smirking. And, no, we weren't being 'karens'. Even my experience with the 'store manager' (different day) just demonstrated that apathy even further. It's just been a shockingly bad few experiences at this store. And I mean "shockingly" from a place of logic -- like how can *everyone* we've encountered possibly be *that* apathetic and *that* bad at their job. It has to be top-down, right? For what it's worth, my experience with the Home Depot locations in Oak Ridge, TN and Knoxville, TN haven't yielded this level of disdain for the customer and I have no issues shopping at those locations -- so it's not a chain-wide thing. I've made a vow, however, that no matter how great my need is, I will never shop at this location again. That sounds overly dramatic but I hope it underlines just how bad the customer service experience is at this location overall. read more

We walked in the door saw a big sign wow. Lady night , food , prizes, and learn to do simple projects, that was right up my alley. So the 3rd Thursday of the month this program is on . The night was so much fun the room was full. Started with picking up a ticket and getting a plate. I started with chicken then fruit, cookies and either bottle of water or sweet tea , all was catered by Chickfila. This was really special, never have I seen this done. O yes i won too!! I'm so disappointed with the Home Depot in Morristown. Sadly, we don't have another Home Depot close so this is the only one we have. Our local store chooses to stock on Saturday mornings between the hours of 8 AM and noon which is not the way that things should be. On a Saturday morning folks go in to get their supplies for their weekend projects. I came in to get exterior paint to paint my house this weekend and their paint guy was restocking pallets of wood stain instead of helping customers, and there was no back up waiting, so I went to Lowe's. We were also looking for a three-quarter inch copper step bowed for our outbuilding and they didn't have it and I also was looking for a Libby mop bucket and they don't carry that anymore and so I threw my hands up and left The priority at Home Depot is no longer a customer service it's obvious so your manager needs to get it together and I hope regional looks at this stuff. We ordered a dryer online for my son we had to wait almost a whole month for it to be delievered. The phone number to was accidently put in wrong it was actually the area code that was put in wrong as 432 instead of 423 but they had other forms of contact such as email and other ways which none of those were tried. He took the whole day off of work and even spoke with represenatives at the store mulitple times when the dryer was not delievered at the promised time. One of the times he spoke with the representative from the store he was told the dryer was delivered at 1:30 PM, which he had been home all day and no delievery had been made. He finally called the store at 6:30 PM and spoke with a manager by the name of Michelle and was told that the earliest they could get the dryer redelievered was on 9/20 which is 6 days later. We called and spoke with MIchelle and she insisted on that being the earliest time for delievery. She told me that she would be happy to give us the delievery compaines phone number and we could arrange to see if there was another earlier time. I explained to her being a manager and us being the consumer that it was HER JOB to make those phones calls since we had already bought and paid for the item and had been waiting almost a month for the purchase to be delievered. I find this to be totally unacceptable, what happened to the days that companies went the extra mile to make sure their customers were completely satisified since there are so many other choices out there now in and days. We will defintely be looking at other avenues when it comes to having to have something delievered and dealing with another company that has better customer service. I dealt with Rufus in the garden dept. when checking out. He argued with me about the price of the charcoal that was on sale and refused to call a manager 3 times. Even after I took a picture of the sign with the price he argued with me. A manager was finally called after they checked the price and told to ring it up for the sale price. I never was told I'm sorry, thanks for taking the picture of the sign or anything. The store manager said she would take care of it whatever that means. For a cashier to argue with a customer is unacceptable. All my business with be with Lowe's for now on. read more

So far so good! Paint service desk was very helpful and knowledgeable. The lady at checkout was also very helpful. Had an online order that was delivered within a few days with no issues at all. Will definitely do business here instead of Lowes any day. read more
