The store is located in the Parkesburg inside the West Salisbury common Plaza. This Home Depot contains typical Home Depot items, and I shop here for paints, accessories, garden supplies, and the nursery. The staff is friendly out here, and the nursery garden contains a wide range of plants. I will definitely suggest that this place,it provides value to what you buy in terms of home items as well as the garden. read more

It just amazes me that a home improvement store with a pro desk and competent employees, always have toilet's with loose or busted seats. I'm sure they got parts to fix them. Hope they get lawsuit! read more

I understand customer service job can be challenging and difficult but Carol who works of all places in returns department is absolutely horrible. She is an older lady who apparently hates all aspects of working here. Upon approaching the desk I greeted her with hello, not only did she not reply, she never made eye contact with me she was just plain rude as heck. If you hate your job why are you in the returns department. In closing if you have a line of customers waiting patiently in line for over 25 mins. to be helped don't make them wait longer by answering the front desk phone and address that issue. Correct way would be to politely place the caller on hold and address the next person in line. read more

Ann who is a floor specialist was so super helpful every step of the way!! She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, very friendly and patient as we took the time to make our decision. We can't say enough wonderful things about her!! If you're in need of flooring please go see Ann. The store itself is well kept, clean and the staff is helpful. I was thinking two weeks ago that a local Nursing Home I use to work at needed some cheering up! They were hit pretty badly from the Covid virus and with the Elderly still not being allowed to see their families I figured they needed to know the Community was thinking of them. I went to Home Depot in Parkesburg Pennsylvania and spoke to a manager named Brendan McGarry. I explained that I thought it would be nice if we could work it out to give the 77 residents at Hickory House some beautiful flowers to brighten up their rooms. I explained the situation that all residents of long term care are still experiencing from this pandemic and I wanted to let them know they are still a valued part of our Community. Brendan agreed that he felt this was important and guess what he did?? He donated an entire cart full of flowers so that I could make this happen. I went to the Dollar store and picked up 77 small metal pails and I was ready to put this cart of free flowers to good use. I called Nicole the DON of Hickory House and she met me outside with a cart so the flowers could be delivered to the residents. You know it's amazing when you decide to change the world 1 kindness at a time and give people the choice to be a part of that change what you see. I see a world that is possible to change if we all work together. I see the impact that I can have daily by just making the choice to try. I am only 1 but I know together we can change the world and make it a better place for the next generation. I have the power to help change this world to be a better place to live and I chose to do just that! I wanted to share this story and tell you all that together we can accomplish anything. Got a guy to cut vertical blinds on a busy Saturday morning. There was a line but he did a great job, was patient, and didn't move onto the next customer until he knew I was satisfied. Looks like they might use a few more people on duty, but whatever. It was worth the wait. read more

Employees here are extremely rude and not helpful at all. They are ineffective to be specific.Especially the elderly women at the service desk - like seriously, spare me with your evil judgmental looks and tone of voice in-front of my small children! Instead of getting a manager like I asked, she just kept repeating that they don't have what I'm looking for, even tho I called and asked before entering this store.She didn't even offer an apology for being misinformed. I called this store 5 mins before entering, specifically looking for something and to confirm it was in stock. The person on the phone assumed me it would be there. I took my two toddlers out of the house, which is a difficult task on its own and I get to the specific section in this store and another employee informs me that they didn't have what I was looking for. So I don't understand why someone on the phone in that specific department would tell me otherwise and literally waste my time. Bottom line - don't expect to be approached in helpful manner by these employees or even be told correct information on the phone before you get there. It's a guessing game here. read more

On 7/15/20 I went to this Parkesburg Home Depot at around 6:30 PM and purchased a gas grille. I was assisted by a young man and a young lady that was in the on the job training program. I picked out the grill and made the purchase. It was a larger heavier grille and I asked for assistance loading the grille. The man that I asked for assistance wondered off and was socializing with his co-workers. Very poor customer service, thanks for nothing Home Depot... I was able to load it myself. This place is a dump. Take your money elsewhere. read more

I made a $144 purchase on a Sunday with my debit card. It came out of my checking account twice. Same amount and same transaction number. I called the store and the manager said to come on it for the refund. I went in and spoke with the manager. It showed in their system as one transaction. I said I can show you right here on my phone on my online banking where it came out twice. He said I will need you to email me your bank statement showing the double charges. Why couldn't I show him on my phone? So I was pissed about that. I went home and copied bank statement and emailed it to him. He emailed me back and said I would have to come back in again to run my debit card and pin for the refund. REALLY??? So it was a couple days before I got back in. I go in at 1 pm and he is out to lunch. The girl said he should be back in 5-10 min. So I waited 15-20 minutes till he wandered on In. I was beyond pissed at this point. So almost 10 days later and I finally got my $144 back. It will be a long time before I go back to this store. read more

Had an awful experience ordering an appliance through this store. They originally offered a discount to make up for the horrible situation. When we went to order a replacement, they said they would not honor what they had promised the day before. They argued with us and forgot to refund our $1000 plus return for over a week. We went to the Home Depot in Downingtown to resolve the issue. They honored the discount and apologized for the terrible experience. We were seriously going to be done with Home Depot, but the one in Downingtown saved the day. I respect the professionalism and great customer service from the management at that store, as well as, the employees in the appliance department. I will never spend a dime at the Home Depot in Parkesburg again though. read more
