The Trooper warehouse has a huge selection, with many beautiful things, and I wandered up and down the many aisles. I never looked anywhere else, as I found a piece of stone called Lemurian Blue, which stopped me in my tracks. I put down a deposit in March and they held it for me till December without any storage fees, until I finished battling with my insurance company. Dave came out to measure and make the template and did an excellent job. He came out early and got things done so they could start on things. The slab was transferred to the Colmar location, and Henry was the project manager. He was very quick and responsive when it was finally time to move on the project. Henry spent quite a bit of time with me in rearranging the template, found another stone that matched what I had, as we needed another piece to finish everything, and was very patient with my inexperience in knowing anything about picking out anything to do with counters. (Who knew what pencil edge was?!) The Georgia crew delivered things a week later. The 3 guys that installed things were excellent. They were very careful, and it was quite interesting to watch the process. They did no damage to anything in the house, installed the granite very carefully, and also installed my sink. We hired AK Marble & Granite in October of 2021 to remodel our kitchen. They were to do tile…read moreflooring, base cabinets, an island, pantry and granite countertops. After a year we had to take them to court because the installer never put thinset under our tile floor and the floor is lifting. Grout continues to pop out to this day. We told AK about this and they came back to try and fix it but their way of fixing it was to just add more grout which didn't resolve a thing. We never received the rollouts for our pantry or island as promised, yet the price for these items was to be included in our contract. They kept telling us we would get a discount at the end. Continue reading and you will see that my discount was an increase of $5,578.98. I asked how much of a discount for the missing rollouts and they said they would take $400 off. I will admit at first I agreed because honestly I was sick of dealing with them but then I realized that their discount was way less then it would cost me to get all the roll outs so I said we would wait until they came in. We most definitely never got a fair discount for anything or any of our rollouts. They never ordered the correct amount of tile for our floor although we were charged for 600 sq ft of tile flooring. AK told his installer not to lay it under our appliances because we wanted to save money yet the 600 sq ft which is in our contract was wall to wall. Which is what we paid and still to this day didn't receive. We did agree that they didn't have to go under the cabinets but we asked from day one and multiple times after that to go under all of our appliances. When we agreed to not have them go under the cabinets we were told there would be a discount as it would be less flooring but that clearly wasn't the case. The installer wasn't going to go under our washer and dryer in our mud room at first because AK told him not to and I had a fit! Who doesn't tile under their washer and dryer? I mean come on! When we went to visit their facility to select the granite we wanted we were interested in two different slabs. AK told us they were both the same price per sq ft. We selected one and the very next day asked if we could switch to the other and were told it would cost more. We should've ran at that point but we just gave them $20,000. Our total contract with them was for $31,800. I didn't understand this as the square footage wasn't changing. This was the one I wanted so I asked how much more and was told maybe $500. I said fine and gave them the ok to do it. The very next day AK's wife text me and said AK said there would be no additional price for the change of the granite. Although once we filed to sue them they filed a counter claim saying we still owed them over $5,578.98 for the granite. Funny thing is we already paid them what we agreed for the granite. We paid them $20,000 to start. Then about a week later they asked us to pay another $5000 for the flooring even though it wasn't completed but we paid it. Then they came and put in the cabinets and counter and wanted another $5000 which we paid. Our balance at that point should have only been $1800 but remember my discounts. They asked if they could come get the final payment of $1800 and they would drop off the last box of tile for my husband to finish the floors because they couldn't come back and do it and I told them no!! I said I would see them in court as this was ridiculous and had gone too far. They never mentioned an increase in our granite to me at this point either. They were increasing the counters costs by $5,578.98 yet they never mentioned it! We never signed anything that we were going to pay more for the counters. Remember I have the text from AK's wife saying there would be NO increase in the countertops. They never mentioned this price increase to us at all until we sued them. This company is crocked! Be very careful! We were awarded in court and their counter claim was not. However, now they won't pay. We need to hire someone else to come fix the job they did. Some of the granite is cut uneven which he told us was because our house is old. AK made the template. They claimed that they finished the job and we still owed them $5,578.98 yet we never received a final bill! They claimed in court that they emailed it. I checked my email and nothing. This was my discount people! Beware!! We never had time to even look at anything that they completed and they had their hand out wanting money. Now they asked if we would give them six months to pay what we were awarded in court. I don't want to wait 6 months. AK called us dumb faces and said he believes in god and he will see us in court and do what the judge says but he's not! We are having to go after him to force him to pay. We were asked when they thought we were happy to give an honest google review. Now they have their lawyer asking us to remove our review. Which I will not! I want others to be warned about this company!

Then when they showed up, they didn't have all the tile they needed (pattern needed three sizes; they only gave them two and told them to cut a bunch - no factory edge!!) Update: To their credit, they did track down the missing tiles and brought them to the house after I told them that if the manual cutting of tiles ended up making things look wrong, they were going to have to redo everything. The guy who brought the tiles (I think he may have been the owner) told me flat out that they prioritize their commercial work because "businesses have to keep a schedule." In the end, they ended up doing a nice job, but didn't leave spare tiles or grout behind. I will avoid these folks in the future.
