I ordered around $2000 worth of fencing materials on a Monday, to be delivered to my house on that Thursday. My house is 1.5 miles from the store. The order was delivered a day late, on Friday, and they dropped off the wrong order. I was told I could not use anything from the incorrect order that was dropped off, even though it was also fencing materials and I could've used some of the stuff they dropped off. I went to the store that night and they refunded me the $80 delivery fee plus an extra $115 and promised me it would be delivered first thing the next morning, on Saturday. After multiple calls to the store and conversations with management, my order FINALLY showed up at 3:30 in the afternoon on Saturday. I was refunded some money, but still feel like I got dealt the short end of the stick. We spend a lot of money at this store on various home improvement projects. If this is how they treat a loyal customer I'd hate to see how they treat other people. read more

we purchased a pallet of osb. after we opened it and used a few sheets, we noticed mold all through the center of almost every sheet. Home Depot said there was nothing they could or would do about it because we had already opened it and used some. very poor quality and very poor service. don't recommend Home Depot! be careful buying pallets of material, never know what junk they've bundled in it! we will be shopping Lowe's from now on! read more

ordered a countertop to be installed. paid $1200 and thought we were good. my husband wanted a different sink. went back and ordered the sink. wouldn't let us pay when we ordered it. salesman repeatedly asked"who did you work with?" during the sink selection. installation went like a breeze. Great installers! The trouble started when I started getting voice mails about additional charges. Finally got a written statement. Went to Home Depot to pay and they couldn't find the bill. They guess I've been sent to collections and will just have to wait. Couldn't pay in store. Im sure that billing won't be screwed up at all. Don't buy anything that has to be installed!!! I have never met a team of people that could care less about customer service. I wanted to order some furniture on line. The pictures on line of the color of the wood did not seem to match color stated. I figured I would go to a Home Depot store to get some support. I went to where they design kitchens and asked for some help and the front of the store as well. Told them of my situation and wanted some help ordering my room of furniture. I was turned away! NO SUPPORT! Regardless, if this not something they cary in store you would have thought they would have helped to find the answers for me so I could have submitted the order. I called the online number and was pushed around to different people! I went on line the next day to order the furniture regardless of not getting the answers and support I was looking for and the prices went up 70 percent for the items in my basket. I called the Home Depot and explained my situation, and was treated horrible.I was passed around to three different people. Two hours later still no help! I asked for a supervisor and still the lack of service and the treatment was horrific.I do a ton of business with Home Depot for business and home and have carried there credit card for 30 years. I will not shop there again! They could care less about the customer and about making things right. Any other store would have honored the prices due to the circumstances and lack of customer support! Lowes is where its at! read more

Went online to Home Depot Pittsburg, KS to check on portable air conditioners. Online said there was 10 in stock. So I take my old self out there this morning and I'm told they don't have them. So I come home and think I'll just order them from online Home Depot at which time I'm told to pick them up in the store. So I call the store and explain that I've already been out there and what online says and he put me on hold and he never came back. So I will be shredding my Home Depot card. This is not the first time that they have been less than helpful out there, but my air conditioner is out and I am hot and tired so this is the final straw. read more

I had problems with an online order of an item that did not ship. After several attempts and long holds to the online order help, I gave up in frustration. I called the local Pittsburg, KS store to see if they could do anything. It was not their problem and they can't typically help, but luckily I got Carmen who was sympathetic to my problem. She was able to reach someone and a credit was issued. I appreciate her extra effort so much! read more

We needed to pick up some items, many customers were wearing masks, but not a single employee we saw wore masks. Unacceptable.

We drove over an hour and a half to rent a floor sander from The Home Depot in Pittsburg, Kansas. We rented a big square floor sander for a week, and drove back home. The next day, we got up fully anticipating getting our floors sanded in the next few days. The on/off switch for the sander wouldn't work right. The handle kept sticking in one position, on the floor in a flat position, without coming back up. I don't know how many people can sit on the floor while sanding floors with a big sander, but I am not one of those people. I called the store, and the guy I talked to said I could switch it out the following day with a different type of sander. So we drove back the following day after work. The two high school students told me that I could switch it with the same type of sander, but that was it. They were rude about it, while I was trying to explain why I was bringing it back 4 days early, saying they couldn't do anything. I called the manager today, and he said, even though we weren't able to use the sander at all, I was still being charged for 3 days, which is $50 less than the rental agreement for the whole week. I called the corporate office, and was basically told the same thing. I flip houses part-time, therefore spend an awful lot of money in that store. From now on, I'll take my hard earned money somewhere else, and to a place that's more friendly about their faulty equipment. They will never pick up a phone there. If you call it is endless ringing and transferring. If you do get someone it's a round robin so chances are they will not know the answer and will start the endless ringing again. This can go on for an hour or more depending how quickly you get frustrated and give up trying. read more

Wanted to run in and get a few things really quickly. Unfortunately, like so many times before the aisles I needed were blocked off. I was told I would have to wait even though no one was working in the aisle. It would have taken all of 30 seconds for me to get what I needed. I bet there is another store in town that will take my money. read more
