Credit card Citibank is a scam. Broken payment agreements. Failed to even take money out of my bank. Failed to keep agreement made with customer service representative for scheduled payment amounts to be drawn. Reps only attained after certain voice and digit entries made, very by-chance, Extremely frustrating. My last rep was EXTREMELY RUDE. Told it didn't matter what was agreed upon with last rep, "that's why you read the mail mailed to you". read more

Last December we purchased a power smart 26" snow blower (cost 1K) Do not go HD Sandpoint and go to Ace or Lowe's instead! We just pulled it out first time this year and the belt burns thru after just using it for a short time. Contacted HD Sandpoint and they are not willing to take it back, pretty sure a snow blower should last more than one season. Can't believe you sell garbage like this, and then don't care to remedy. I had ordered a stacking kit for my washer and dryer then tried to cancel the order and it was a bit confusing. But Sarah and Kevin were really nice and Sarah was super helpful as was Kevin. I've been to many Home Depot's in other states and the one in Pondreay definitely has the most helpful people and a very organized store where it's easy to find what I need. read more

This Home Depot has got to be THE WORST home improvement store I've had the displeasure of dealing with! They sell broken components, switched in packages, they sell doors by special order, but fail to deliver them as agreed, then charge you a restocking fee, they sell doors that were damaged by stockers, then don't tell the customer! Avoid these pirates at all costs! From now on, I will travel to Spokane Washington, if I have to! They will never get a single dime from me from now on! read more

I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication and the lack of customer care coming from this store. The story is long and sad and I hope I'm never forced to shop there again. We spent nearly ten grand on appliances and because of road weight Limits they refused to deliver telling us we could pick up the appliances ourselves. As senior citizens, being new to the area, and needing our old appliances hauled off, this was unacceptable. They knew this was an issue this time of year and didn't tell us at the time of purchase. Then we were told that we could have them delivered to the store. We would then have a 48 hour window for inspections and delivery, but they couldn't guarantee a small enough truck and we would not be eligible for a refund if they couldn't make it work Within that window of time. They said we should just cancel and then reorder later on down the road. I will be looking for a better place to do business with, a place that is happy to take care of our needs. read more

We've had such amazing customer service here that while in town we bought one of the employees' meals for being so awesome and helpful. When we walk in a lady is there asking what we need and pointing us in the right direction. I've had a woman drop everything and go into the pouring rain to grab pieces for my husband and had our whole car loaded up by the staff without having to lift a finger! I came in to Ponderay and the lady on sunday, Alisha in the flooring departmenthelped me find what I possibly needed but I wanted to make sure. She suggested to me to bring the bar code in and a full size tile sample that I had bought from them. I go back Monday the lady there now Rachel says can I help you ? I say yes try to explain what happened last night she cut me off and told me I don't know how to do that without creating a order. I was dumb founded for sec thinking ok I will come back when Alisha is there. Then i asked her can we do a order and just delete it she says oh no i think i can do it with this bar code well. I am thinking ok so she walks over to fellow employees. They are talking looking at me. Then she comes back and says we don't have it. I said "I know" , (because I told u. ) I said we found it last night but she wouldn't even attempt to look and I am sorry but Rachel was not doing anything but walking around. I said we will come back when Alisha is here she repeated again alisha is not here i repeated again i know she is here tomorrow , Tuesday and next weekend but she didnt acknowledge my voice again I was ignored. Made 3 times to many in that conversation. Then I stumbled on the chair and pushed it out of my way and said again we will come back when Alisha is here. She turns around and comes back after walking off on me, says" Alisha just started and I have been here for two years."(In my face) I got closer to her and said alisha is better than you. And I left to. That's the kind of service that Home Depot Flooring puts out there I am pretty sure the tall guy was the manager and he didnt come over but he was having a morning meeting and I understood. with the EXCEPTION OF THE LADY , ALISHA. She is the only one i have come across friendly and helpful not just there to walk around and pretend to help. Oh and SUPER KUDOS TO THE PAINT DEPARTMENT SUNDAY AND MONDAY WE LAUGHED AND HAD A GOOD CHIT CHAT THANK YOU PAINT DEPARTMENT. We had a washer and dryer ordered on 5/28/19. Was told 7-12 business days and ETA on 6/4/19. We were ok with that and gave them a couple extra days till I called to check in 6/6/19. Was told the order never went through. Wow perfect timing for us since we moved out of our old place and was timing this perfect scenario of having our brand new washer and dryer. Well that didn't happen! Was told they could full refund or find us a set in the same price range but lesser of model. I feel they were incompetent in completing an easy task...that Home Depot should step up and make this right and have a washer and dryer for us at equal or greater value. And that doesn't mean some knock off crap. Not happy! read more

Yesterday, Sunday, I called American Express to report fraudulent charges on my credit card from this Home Depot which I hadn't been able to get off for nearly 2 months. Unfortunately, their Fraud Division isn't available on weekends, so I posted this Yelp review (below) about the Bosch dishwasher Home Depot advertised in huge posters all over their store, but didn't really have and couldn't supply. Today Monday I got through to American Express and found the store had reversed the charges yesterday, THE SAME DAY I POSTED MY ONE STAR REVIEW. YELP WORKS! My husband and I just had a wonderful experience at the Home Depot in Ponderay, Idaho. The people were all very friendly and helpful in general but we would like to call out Brad in particular for his professional and very helpful service. He was able to turn a potentially negative experience positive. His keen sense of customer service created a memorable experience that we won't soon forget. Although we live much closer to another Home Depot, we will continue to go out of our way to shop at this store and encourage others to do the same. read more

We ordered flooring that should have been in no later than a Thursday... with delayed shipping it said it would be in Sunday. We come in to find out it's not there. One of the gals was great to work with and found us the flooring in the store we needed. The manager would not give us the price of the other $3500 pallet that had not arrived . She was rude, inconsiderate and extremely unhelpful. We will not being going back. read more

I've been to customer service in this store and received excellent service, but not so this time over the phone. I ordered several items which were estimated to arrive at the store by 08/10/21 or 08/11/21. None did. So I had to go in another direction with our plumbing trim. I called customer service to return the items. The clerk cut me off when I explained why I had to return them. She had an impatient and nasty tone of voice that indicated, "You are really bothering me." Although I thanked her several times for her help, she was just awful and never got any better. I hope I never mistakenly hire her for my business. Way to leave a bad feeling towards a store! No one can be in a good mood 100% of the time, but leave that stuff at home and be a professional. read more

Home depot has pretty good prices and just about everything you need for FYI projects around the house.

Do not shop here for horizontal blinds! Horrible customer service! It took 3 trips into town (60 mile round trip) to have blinds correctly cut to size. First time clerk cut the cord which I discovered upon installation. Second time the clerk miscut the blind by 4 inches. 4 inches! Third time "lucky"! Store manager, Ken Sawle, defensive and extremely unhelpful!!!!!! Don't waste your valuable time here. read more

If you are going in to buy something in the store and then walk out with it, they are great. If you are getting carpets installed: Buyer beware! We have been waiting over a month to get the job done right. Horrible communication, The " Carpet Pros" they contract are horrible ; They showed up 2 hours late, left ugly frayed carpet seams, destoyed our screen door, large gaps under the base boards, slopped glue on our wood floors, came unprepared without tac strips or transition pieces. We are still waiting to let our renters move in and is costing us money while we wait to find out when the job will be completed. Shop local not corporate! read more

This is your standard Home Depot. They only carry the most common tools and hardware. Plenty of wood and building supplies. It is sometimes difficult to find assistance and customers must leave or wait at the employees convenience when isles need to be blocked. read more

The delivery service used by the appliance department told us that there would be an additional $70 cash charge to even move the old washer to be able to install the new. The washer was advertised as "free delivery" and I was told if I did not purchase the washer hoses they would not install. I bought the hoses to get the installation. I was also told there would be a $25 fee to take the old washer, I did not want the washer taken so I didn't pay. The manager of the appliance department accused me of lying about the additional service charge. She was on the telephone the whole time while I was talking with the delivery man, yet she said I told him something that included the word "f____king" and took the word of the delivery man. I told the delivery man to just leave the machine and he refused; and, reloaded the washer I had purchased and supposedly brought it back to the Ponderay store. I was told by the appliance manager it would be another week before they would deliver it to me, or I could just cancel the order. I NEED THE MACHINE AND HAVE ALREADY WAITED TWO WEEKS! I told the appliance manager that this was a confidence game and said I'd just have to take the matter to the court at which time she hung up on me. I've always been quite happy with Home Depot up until now. Back in March 2017, I saw an Ariens Deluxe 30 SnowBlower on the floor and it had been marked down over $400. The service person in that section told me someone had used it once and returned it. I purchased it trusting Home Depot had checked it out before putting it back on the floor. I've always been happy with Ariens products and trust them also, and after having purchased a Lawn Tractor and Log Splitter from Home Depot I was unaware of a 30-day Return Policy on Gasoline Engine products. Needless to say, I didn't attempt to start it until the snow flew last week. It wouldn't start, wouldn't even attempt to spark. It just turns over and nothing. I called and was told to bring it back, and all the service people helping me were in agreement to refund my money. I was even going to buy another and make up the difference. But the Store Manager insisted that the 30-day Gasoline Engine Policy stood and that I would have to find a local service agent to repair under the warranty. After everything I've purchased there one might think that the 30-day policy could've been waved since I saw no reason to try to start it until there was snow. So much for Customer Service and loyalty to a good customer. I believe I'll just find another store other than Home Depot to do my business with for my other future projects around my home. read more

We have had excellent service from this store, they have gone above and beyond helping us out. On the other hand we recently went to Lowes in Coeur d'alene and it was the worst experience ever ! The store is a self serve because the employees are to busy chatting with each other than with helping the customers. We found and loaded 3 doors, counter tops and misc. items with no help. Should have just walked out the door and went to home depot. read more
