Very very busy on a holiday but I don't fault them for that inconvenience. They are open when Lowes is not. There was a ton of plant and potting soil stock. Nowwwww...disorganized at the worst possible time. The store was super busy and a few aisles were packed with random carts, stairs and boxed products. There were also many large boxed products at the ends of aisles. This made traversing the store very difficult with our car. Hopefully this isn't a common occurrence since it was really convenient they were open on a holiday. There were a lot of employees available to help and check out was very fast. Overall a good visit and I'd have no problem returning to this location. read more

Today I spent one hour at Pooler Home Depot looking for an item in their add ,no one could tell me wh where it was or even if they had the item 5 workers ,I was sent to different areas of the store first garden center then lumber then back to garden center. I'm not happy with the lack of service and total waste of time I even tried to order on line ,gentleman at call center could not find the item either .Sometimes I think we live in a society of poorly trained employees. Went to Costco in Pooler and while I was in town, I came here to get 4 cinderblocks. 8x8x16. A normal cinderblock. Cinderblocks were not in the garden section. One was by the garden register for pricing. Went to the aisle and bay where they were supposed to be, and they weren't there. It was a different sized block on that aisle. Asked for help,and the employees told me that they no longer carry cinderblocks. Like not ever going to sell those. Meanwhile the website says 1,033 in stock. And it's the most normal sized block. Cinderblock, brick, 2x4 board is the absolute basics. Basically, store doesn't have items where the website says they will be (and yes I set my store location), and the employees do not know the merchandise at all. I am a DIY person when I think something is within my capability or within reach with a U tube video and new tool away, I like to try my hand at it. So I was off picking up some supplies for my latest church project when the last item on my list was landscaping fabric staples, which seemed like a easy in and out item. Heading to the Garden Center entrance I decided, due to expediency to break the Cardinal male rule (yeah...guys... Like what!) and asked the cashier at the entrance, where are the landscaping staples? She immediately said, "those two guys behind me would know, talk to them!" I turned to talk to these two young men and one of them either didn't hear me or ignored the question, while the other said he wasn't sure. He then volunteered to "help" me find them, and we went down a few rows to no avail, when I noticed there were some plant stakes and said "we may be close". My escort said, "Well, they should be here as the landscaping fabric stakes are normally with the plant stakes!" I said, I thought they would be with the landscaping fabric and we should keep looking for the fabric...he a little dejected continued down another row all the way to the end where he looked down the aisle and declared "I don't think we have any of landscaping fabric!" I said, let's go back up the row and make sure, my HomeDepot escort tagged along. We went back the same way and one aisle past the plant stakes found Landscaping fabric! Ta Da! We had just pulled into the aisle, when I eyed my hidden treasure in the racks next to multiple rolls of fabric. My buddy commented as I was debating between 25 or 75 piece packs, metal vs. plastic. That he would follow up and make sure the aisle was labeled and we looked up to see an aisle sign with "a landscaping needs with a drawing of a fabric roll...under it. He quieted up as I saw a 500 piece pack at a good price! I thanked him for "helping me" and headed to the check out counter. This was a kind of painful experience as at one point, the Home Depot rep was pretty much telling me they didn't have what I needed when they actually had a very good selection of staples. I would like to think that store reps should have an idea what is in their area and stay on top of new additions. I have had great, good to bad experiences at the Home Depot. The great being someone getting me every thing I need and even offers advice on how to do the DIY project. Today Home Depot service failed me but they came through on what I needed. I'll be back, but I'll likely do my search on my own (following the you know male rule) and or wait till I exhaust my search and see an old pro to ask my "How or where do you or what do you questions....and hope he or she knows or can point me to the person who does. read more

DONT buy appliances from the Pooler location. 3 months after paying, giving away my kitchen appliances on the promised delivery date, still no appliances . Had they not given me yet another date that didn't produce the appliances, we would have made the decision to buy a small refrigerator and at least a hot plate. It's like glamping which I'm not into. Too many meals out, battling the rain to grill dinner, 7 days a week going to the grocery store and constantly replacing ice in the coolers. Home Depot just says ‍. They have zero clue what's available, what was discontinued or that one of the appliances wouldn't have even been built until four months after they took my money. Stay away from the Pooler location. Now they delivered the appliances, installing the wrong color dishwasher. It was wrapped in blue film so we didn't notice. I also didn't notice because the cord we upgraded to for the oven wasn't delivered with it. I had to leave the installers to drive a 1/2 hour to Home Depot. A week later they set up a date to swap out the dishwashers. The installers did come on the date promised only to remove the dishwasher. No clue where my dishwasher is or when we will no longer be looking at a hole in my kitchen. Update, it's now been over 4 months, no dishwasher! We had yet another scheduled delivery date so we went to Home Depot AGAIN, to the appliance professionals 3 days prior to delivery. We asked the employee to get the confirmed delivery on the phone in front of us. We heard a couple of oh mys & is that usual? She got off the phone & told us our dishwasher was on the delivery truck and would be installed between 1-5 on the following Tuesday. 45 minutes later, we get a text message from the appliance company that the dishwasher won't even be built for another month! On one occasion I'm loading my shopping cart in the garden section oh say 6:30pm and the employees decide to close the gates and shopping counter watching me as I roll up to attempt to exit. Only to be told I need to roll my heavy cart into the store that they can't help. Other occasions, I've asked for help in various areas only to be shunned like I'm a leopard. Maybe it's me. Dickhead Dan the manager, my AC circuit breaker went out at the house and I made the mistake of stopping by the other crappy big box brand store first (they didn't have them in stock). I jumped on my phone and saw that Pooler Home Depot had it in stock. I rushed down as quick as I could and even called ahead to a rude customer service lady who told me they lock the doors at exactly 9pm. Period. I explained that I was rushing as quick as I could and that I have a newborn in the house and need to get this fixed, that it wouldn't be more than 5 minutes. Igot to the store at 9:03pm and Dan the manager came to the door. I explained the situation and that I have a baby in the house, people were still shopping and he turned me away, 2 minutes it would have taken me to grab the breaker and I would have been out before the other remaining customers. He lied and told me that he already shut down all the registers, but he doesn't know that another employee already told me that people were still shopping. If only we could all have this type of poor customer service in our careers. Imagine being able to lock down and not take 1 extra minute to do the right thing. Came in to get a taller toilet for my husband and went to order this in the back with LaKeisha. She then informed us of another option. We live in an apt. and we have to return our apt to the way we received it so for us to put in a new taller toilet meant that we also have to put back the original toilet when we leave in a few months and pay for all of this out of pocket--around $500-600. "Carol" at Customer service on 4/3/21, really ruined my entire evening. I had returned over $100 worth of items. Then she did not even ask me how I wanted my payment. I was planning on getting the same items but working, that day with store credit. Make the store some extra money right before the holiday too. Instead she proceeded to upload them to the original payment method. These items were a gift and now there is no way for me to receive the correct items. Who wants to tell a relative the gifts they got didn't work or fit??? When I asked her for store credit she said "well that's your fault for not telling me, I already processed it". I am very disappointed in the staff you have at The Home Depot in Pooler. Once she said "well there's nothing I can do, you gon have to wait several days for that money I guess" with a shrug as she walked away without finishing my final return. I asked why I couldn't do the same method as before since $10 wasn't going to get me the items I needed she said "well I didn't finish clicking the buttons" but she had already walked away from the register. She had me waiting on her time because she hadn't done the return the proper way. I am disgusted with the behavior I saw today. I work in the medical Field and we run into some pretty nasty people. Poor selection, uninformed staff and terrible post sales service. I bought Electrolux dryer and purchased maintenance agreement. The dryer failed after I used it 6 times, I have been waiting for 3 weeks for service. The farm their service to overloaded small businesses who cannot support their customers. So the product is 5 weeks old, 3 weeks out of service, not a good record. Lesson learned: buy appliances at Sears, same price and you can get them repaired. read more

I'm an electrician and the company I work for prefers The Home Depot so that's where I have to purchase needed supplies. This store always says online that the items I need are abundantly stocked and when I get there I'm told "we're out." Their website stock should accurately reflect the store because it has costed me so much time and money to believe their lies. It impairs me from doing my job adequately because it's the only hardware store near the area I work. Went there for a fire foam gun and 5 cans of foam. Had a garage door opener installed from here and it took a week longer than it should have because the installer called in sick the day I was to have mine installed...it was nice of Home Depot to let me know 2 hours after he was supposed to arrive. She kept seeing a $200 difference in what agent quoted and what she was inputting. She finally figured out that the coding for the flooring was incorrect.
