My only complaint is that it is typically hard to find someone to help you. This time I was pleasantly surprised to find Dan on the plumbing aisle. After waiting for him to help 2 other customers, he was finally available to assist me. I explained my problem, and he gave good advice along with product recommendations. They're next to the Burger King and across from the Publix on Holcomb Bridge. Never had a problem here or with my transactions. I did see that some yelpers complain that they can't seem to find help here. It's been the opposite for me when I come in..maybe its because I look lost..dunno but I think sometimes I have too much help. But it's possible those yelpers came on a off day. I've been to this Home Depot on a pretty regular basis when I need home goods, keys made, etc. When I first started shopping here several years ago, I was surprised that most of the employees were friendly and helpful. However, my last several visits have not been pleasant. Employees are either hard to find and/or act like you are imposing on their social schedule when you need something from them. For example, I needed keys made. I went to the counter and no one was there. Two employees were off talking near the register, so after a minute or so I interrupted them and asked for someone to help me. She yells across the store to some other employee that " this lady needs keys made". Why, yes, yes I do! I didn't feel like making small talk so I waited for my keys. Another employee comes over and they start talking personal stuff for several minutes while I am waiting. I actually was buying more stuff on my list--but I didn't even ask either of those men because they obviously didn't want to be bothered anymore. Thankfully, I ran into two more gentleman who immediately asked me what I was looking for and they pointed me in the right direction. Needless to say, I hope you find the friendly employees, because the other ones are not so fun to deal with! read more

BEWARE when ordering 2 of an item. Only order one at a time at different times or from a different store. I ordered two hose holders and only one was delivered. I had my front door video to prove only one delivered. I had to go into the store to get the refund for the missing hose holder which took 30 minutes of the clerks time to get it to go through. Today, I had ordered 2 sets of hose adapters and received only one was delivered. Now I have to go into the store again to get the refund for the missing hose adapter. read more

Home Depot management decided to return to what originally made them great: knowledgable staffers who had BTDT (Been there done that.). They abandoned that strategy for a while and unfortunately for them, so did many of their customers. I find that his location has more of the original type staff: guys (mostly guys anyway) who have maybe built an addition on a house or two or done some plumbing work. I can usually expect to get my questions answered when I come here and usually find what I need. Sometimes, they don't have speciality items, but in general, pretty solid. read more

I love this Home Depot! Everyone here is friendly and knowledgeable. The only problem with Home Depot is once you start a project you find yourself going three everyday for the next 3-4 days. That's ok, because they have a great return policy and are there to guide you every step of the way. Tried to contact HD VIAemail, not available so here is what I went thru this week. DEAR HD, Your Westwind/Roswell store #0146 I am a disabled male who needs to use your supplied electric  scooters to get around the store. On Monday of this week, I grabbed a scooter with a solid  green light indicating a full charge. It died after going to the back of the store and trying to get to checkout. Luckily, there w as a shopping cart nearby and I had to transfer my items from the scooter to the cart and hobble to the checkout area.  Not a big deal. Today I went back, grabbed a charged cart, and shopped. Would you believe after less then 15 min,  this one died on me too. Had to limp to get a cart someone had left and hobble around to the checkout area again. As a disabled person, it is very frustrating when this happens. I have been disabled for 10 years and this does happen from time to time but it appears you need to contact your scooter/cart vendor and make sure they have theses scooters properly maintained. Your experience really depends on who helps you out. Today for example I walked around looking for someone who could help me locate an item for 20 min. When I finally asked someone for help they told me to find someone else...interesting. When I finally did I ended up with the wrong product and had to return it and get another. He was perfectly nice and I do think it was a case of something being on the wrong place. Got the correct product the second time. Not the end of the world just annoying because it was rush hour. I have had good and bad experiences here over the years but it's the closest a by far to my place so I'll keep going. read more

Home Depot the most frustrating place to shop. Employees tell you they don't cover that area, but magically no one does. It really is hit or miss. When you need help you can't find it or they run away. Seriously had this happen. It's hilarious. When you don't need it, well at least your left alone in peace. It just frustrating why I give this company my money at all. Two positive notes. They have self checkout. Thank goodness for obvious reasons. Lol! A couple of years ago they did send out a rep to replace faulty material. Which was great, but didn't pay for the labor to remove and install. My dad is a contractor and ever since I can remember Home Depot has been the go Home improvement store. This past summer I bought my first house here in Roswell, GA. I've spent at least $15,000 in the store In the past six months. My last big purchase 2 weeks ago was a large tool chest. It was so big I had to have 2 other people help me get it into my house. After filling it with tools the locking mechanism broke with all my heavy tools locked inside. What a nightmare! I went to the store to try to find a solution. Two employees helped me try to find a way we can get inside without breaking it. Unfortunately there isn't a way to do so without cutting the back of it open. I decided just to keep it instead of returning due to the size, weight and difficulty of returning. One of the managers however actually gave me a gift card for almost half of the cost to reimburse for the damaged product. I was so happy with this and I appreciated the fact I didn't have to bring it back in. I was worried I would never want to shop here again, but they were so helpful I walked out a happy customer. Very few employees were wearing masks. The ones that were wearing masks were wearing them incorrectly. They all had them under their nose. Literally I saw several check them and never pulled them back up. Do people not realize that air blows out of their nose? What is the point of wearing a mask? I didn't feel safe asking for help or being checked out by them. I won't be going back until they get their staff in line. Wear masks over your nose and mouth and put on gloves!!! Have given them any chances, but today I need to post. Came in during my lunch break to check on some wire shelving for a shallow closet in our home. It was like pulling teeth to find an associate to help me out. When I finally literally walked up to an associate, I felt like it was a major inconvenience for him to assist a customer. He seemed bothered and put out, not at all the customer experience that this company hopefully is attempting to portray. I wanted to buy six bags of river stones for my yard. They were on the back end of a pallet on the second shelf. I started to try to pull the bags forward so I could put them on my cart. I realized the effort would probably destroy my back muscles. I am 75 years old. I am not feeble but I know my limits. I decided to go ask for some help. Ha ha. I was told to go look around the outside of the rear door and I might find someone working in the storage area of the rear parking lot. After walking all the way back to the rear of the store and looking out into the back lot I saw somebody driving a forklift about a 100 yards away. Guess what? I decided HD really did not need my business that badly. I drove home and put a sell order in on my HD stock! read more

If I could give them a zero I would. They sold me 4 appliances. I paid for delivery, installation, and haul away. They came, installed 2 of the 4. They told me that they could not get off the connector for the stove so they could not install it. They said they could not get off the screws for the microwave, so they left it hanging. They told me to hire a handyman and call them back. All the time they were in the most hideous hurry. Kept saying hurry. No one went to the truck for a tool, no one said to the other here hold this still, so I can get a better hold. They left all the plastic on everything, they left the manuals in the dishwasher and kicked off because they did not even take the time to look inside or check anything. Handyman had a WRENCH. Stove connector off in 3 minutes. He also got the screws out of the microwave. He had 3 hernias so I did not ask him to install anything plus HP said they would come back. I called and they would be back 20 days later and I now have no stove or microwave. NICE! I call Home Depot to complain and they could not do better. Went into the store and they were like "it's a 3rd party vendor" they felt absolutely no responsibility for the problem. They did refund me my installation fee but it was almost double to find someone to install who did sell it to me. Plus the cost of the handyman. Do not trust these people they don't care if you have to wait 20 days they don't care if they "3rd party vendor" messes you over, they just want their money. Go to Lowes. read more

Worst customer service is in the building materials department. Purchased a mere 20 sheets of drywall and waited 45 minutes before finally giving up and heading to the return desk for a refund. There were plenty of people stocking lumber inside, and a couple of forklifts moving materials, but no one to get the sheetrock. Everyone apologized for the lack of service, but then does absolutely nothing about it. Besides "I'm sorry" only goes so far before it is meaningless. As a contractor, I avoid this store as often as possible. Your time means nothing to them. Gotta love the Pro Loafers and the rest of the lumber area folks for their lack of energy and concern. Lots of associates walking around or playing on their phones. The cashier was very apologetic. He tried several times to find out where my sheetrock was. Pro Lead didn't seem to care. Management should take note, but it's only one mans option. I'm sure they have better things to do than improve the quality their store. read more

NOW IS THE TIME TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THOSE HOLIDAY SALES! My husband needed to stop here to pick up a gardening supply. I decided to go in as well to take a look at their gardening supplies. I was really surprised by how busy things were at the time, especially during the evening hours. It is a great time to get some additional landscaping done and take advantage of local sales. We didn't purchase anything additional today because we now have everything we need and are just wrapping things up until fall. They still have nice plants available and the best deals are their hanging planters which are still lush and full and currently on sale at 2 for $5. While I don't use hanging plants, these would be perfect to snip the hangers and just place the entire bottom portion in a larger planter and you will have a finished pot that is perfect for the patio, front porch or garden. As we exited the garden center, I noticed that we were in a nicely shaded area and when I looked up I realized that we were standing under one of their custom pergolas. It was very nice because it provided ample shade and I loved the hardware used. These are definitely worth checking out if you are needing to add a little cover to your outdoor space. This store is easily missed because the sign is obscured by overgrown trees. It is located just west of Trader Joe's on the south side of the street. read more

I have lived in my house for almost three years now. My parents decided to come and visit me this past weekend for what I thought was a friendly visit. Little did I know their hidden agenda until it was too late. In the last 48 hours I have been to Home Depot more than I have been in the last 4 years. A weekend of hard labor and home improvement was sprung upon and the Depot was their willing accomplice. Five home improvement projects later, including two ceiling fans and I survived. I have always found the customer service to be a little hit or miss, but if I want real advice and some personal attention I will go to a True Value. To Recap: The Good: It is one stop shopping as they have everything for the home and the prices are fair. The Bad: There is just something about the Orange Monster that never sits well with me. On the Northside of Atlanta OTP, comparing Home Depot to Lowes is a lot like Wal-Mart to Target. Home Depot does very well at contractor grade, get it done, do it yourself brands and materials. Lowes offers far more designer options with more of a focus on the consumer while still accommodating the contractor. This location next to my neighborhood has a lot of the basics for things when I need them, but often I find myself having to drive 8 miles away to Lowes for simple things like hardwood floor cleaners, better lighting options, and more variety for garden and decorating needs. But for the contractor grade repair projects, this is the more economical place. read more

I never really had anything against Home Depot, but my last experience left a sour taste in my mouth. When I had entered the building looking for a sink, me, my wife, and my 3 children had to go through the hanging chandelier aisle. However, when we came in there was a humongous wreck of shattered glass and ripped metal. We told an attendant and they said they would clean it up. However, as we walked through that aisle again, one of my children screamed. A shard of glass stuck out of his shoe. Home Depot would not pay for the medical bills. On a recent visit to Home Depot, I was guided by the employee running the appliance department to use Flamingo for appliance repair. I was given Flamingo's business card and told they were the company recommended by HD, "for all my appliance and service repair needs." I had Flamingo come to my home to repair my dishwasher. I was charged $222.82. They charge $98 just to drive to your home. Six months later, the fuse they replaced blew. They wanted another $98 just to drive out to my home. I said no and called a local repair service. After he inspected my dishwasher, he told me they replaced the fuse without correcting the problem that caused the fuse to blow in the first place. I paid him $142.40. I'm now out a total of $365.22 FOR A FUSE. I called Home Depot since they sent me to a company that does poor work. They refused to reimburse me because they can't prove where I bought the dishwasher. Is it me or did I say from the beginning that it ISN'T ABOUT WHERE I BOUGHT IT? IT'S ABOUT YOU SENDING ME TO A SHODDY BUSINESS WHO RIPPED ME OFF. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, shame on you.... I'm shopping at Lowe's from now on. read more

Pleasantry... but lack of knowledge and willingness to help. A store full of "greeters" where it is not uncommon to wait for 3-4 employees (old men) to stop chatting with each other so you can ask for help. Today one of these old men, Ronald, yelled across the main aisle that the board I was putting in my cart would make it tip over. (Earlier in the week, I had put this exact size board in my cart so I knew it would hold it.) Later, when I checked out, I told him that if he really thought my cart was going to tip, it would have been a nice gesture for him to start to approach me rather than yell at me from 12" away. Perhaps he's too old to lift an 8x12 board? The 25 minutes I was in the store I heard employee after employee offer little to no help. Here's just one example: A woman said to an employee, "I'm looking for a timer..." Before she could finish the employee said, "With Christmas." She said, "I looked there but none were left. I was trying to ask if there might be some in another place the store?" The employee replied, ever so pleasantly, "Probably not." Yelping this because every time I leave HD-Woodstock location, I leave frustrated by insincere friendliness and ultimate customer-NO-service. I'm voting with my feet and pocketbook. Placed an order online for a new washer on 3/30. I received the email yesterday with my delivery window from 9-1 today. At 1pm I phoned to get a delivery update and after 32 minutes on the phone was told that the delivery was routed, but the washer was never loaded. Unfortunately Home Depot was not able to accommodate my work schedule and reschedule for Thursday so I cancelled the order. Very poor customer relations, very poor customer communication and very poor customer concern for accommodating their inefficiency. read more

Paid $75 dollars extra to ensure stove could be installed upon delivery and old stove could be removed, when they arrived they looked at the stove said they could not do any of that, left the stove in the garage and left. The delivery workers also forced my elderly dad to sign the delivery sheet while I was out of the room so they could leave. Drive the extra couple of minutes to a different home improvement store. Would not recommend ever using The Bagster service through this Home Depot or Waste Management in the North Atlanta area. It's supposed to be easy - you buy the bag at Home Depot, call for Waste Management to pick up the bags. It may work in other cities but save your time and money in North Atlanta. We called to schedule pick-up and were given a 3 day window - they missed it even after multiple calls to confirm. Claimed they showed up and couldn't find the bags even though: 1. Location was clearly noted on the order; 2. Our phone number was on the order and no one called. 3. No one came to the door to ask. We're now on Day 4, called their call center, had to cancel and reorder - only for them to call back and say that they Googled our property and they can't fit in our driveway! And they won't refund the delivery fee or the bags - what a scam. If HomeDepot wants to be in business with a partner - they should pick a quality partner. Waste Management is aptly named - it's a "waste". Fortunately we found a local company to come and take our useless Bagger Bags and remove the junk with a regular dumpster. I recently purchased carpet from Home Depot for my new home that I had custom built. Carpet was one of my final selections to make and I needed help because there were so many choices. Sales employee Paula Marsh was one of the most delightful people that have ever helped me in any store my whole life. She took the time to make sure the order was completely right, followed up on it, and saw the entire process through for me. My carpet looks beautiful and Home Depot is so fortunate to have her as an employee and she loves what she does. read more

We order a hot water heater install from this home depot on a Thursday night to be installed on a Friday afternoon. Unfortunately, their definition of same day guarantee isn't consistent with a normal person's definition of same day guarantee. Home Depot's guarantee is that if you order before noon in the right markets they can guarantee that you will get a new hot water heater. This apparently doesn't apply to Roswell when you live 2 miles from the store. The Home Depot Contractor (ARS) initially refused to come out on Friday which we said was too late since we're going to pay a premium price for the service. The contractor finally agreed to come out on Friday afternoon. They show up a little after 5 without any of the information that my husband provided to Home Depot regarding the water heater, whip up a quote and say they can install tomorrow. My husband is a little annoyed at this point and asks about the same day guarantee and doesn't get a response. My husband orders the contractor off our property because of the contractor's poor attitude. If this ordeal had ended there, I wouldn't be writing this review. Unfortunately our experience trying to sort this out by talking with Home Depot Corporate (Tony- you aren't very helpful! rehashing the situation doesn't solve my problem!) and with the folks at the store (Kevin- you were helpful and kind - we appreciate your efforts to solve our problem). Ultimately, Corey called us on Saturday morning and provided us with no solution to get our hot water heater installed. An apology and an offer to get us a new hot water heater on Saturday would have turned the situation around for us but alas no can do..... Verdict: We'll be going to Lowes for our various home improvement needs as we renovate our new old house. Home Depot you just lost a customer! read more

He gave me so much personal attention, answered all my questions, did research to make sure I was getting the right thing and then personally helped me check out and get the stuff in my car. I don't know if it's because the Roswell area has more people, a more affluent demographic, or what, but this Depot is magnitudes better than the one in my home town. In customer service, friendliness in general, and being able to actually find somebody when you need to ask a question or find something. This joint might actually rate 5 stars, relative to other HDs, but until they wheel 37 cinderblocks to my truck and load them up for me, four stars is going to have to suffice. read more
