We had a Mixed Experience: Exceptional Plants and Installation, but Design Disappointment and Delivery Issues. Look at the design and then look at the end results. Wendy Barnes, the designer, basically just put the plants in a semicircle with no regard to the actual size of the plants. On the positive side, he was impressed with the exceptional condition of the plants purchased, which outshone those from other nurseries in the Atlanta area. These plants were not only healthy and vibrant but also free from any rootbinding issues, even in the fall. The installation process, handled by a third-party vendor, was praiseworthy. The team efficiently completed the job in a single day, however, after looking at the plan they should have contacted either the customer or the designer to say are you sure about this. On the flip side, the disappointment stemmed from the design service provided by Wendy Barnes. The rendering she sent depicted how the plants would look five years down the road, but unfortunately, the actual design fell short of expectations, proving unsatisfactory and unappealing. This has necessitated additional spending to somewhat improve the landscape. I appreciate the owner's efforts to resolve this by offering to sell us more plants and personally delivering them the Friday after Thanksgiving. As we were aiming to get the house on the market by December 1, and though we typically handle this ourselves, time constraints led us to seek assistance from ServeScape. Despite this setback, my partner remains open to using ServeScape and possibly the landscape installer again. However, I strongly urge a more accurate representation of plants in future designs. Another notable concern was the placement of the delivered plants, with over 30+ placed directly on the pathway to the house, causing an obstruction. read more

Excellent quality and hard to find Black Gum tree for an unbeatable price! Purchased online in March 2023 and was ready for pick up within 2 weeks (they are open for pick up on Mondays). The tree was much larger than I had expected it to be (a huge plus), and it was very healthy. Tree is now thriving in my backyard! ServeScape may be a good online business to purchase plants from, but the jury is still out. The plants arrived very dried out and four of them are still struggling (root damage?) after being in the ground for several weeks. When they say that there is a 5 to 7 business day turnaround, that is optimistic. They were apparently waiting to ship because two plants were not available and they were waiting for delivery to them. It would be great to have some kind of updates when an order is delayed. I think mine was supposed to be delivered the day before as that is the notification I got, and it may be that the plants were extremely dried out because they stayed on the truck an extra day. There are no refunds unless you start return the plant in 48 hours of delivery. One year return only if you pay $10 for a warranty. You really have to drill down into the site to find out about the warranty. read more

Hugely disappointing and has cost us thousands more than the quote with costs still mounting. This company is a third party that can't vouch for the folks they recommend and will not provide back-up support to their contractors if they need help. The owner, Mario, met with us personally and described the hands-on support we would receive when we described knowing nothing about plants or maintaining landscaping. Servescape then gave our install company incorrect info which led to a wildly inaccurate quote that the installer and Servescape could not stand by. However, they proceeded in tearing out our existing landscaping without telling us about the misquote all while knowing Servescape had given them incorrect info. This error cost us thousands so far and costs continue to mount- during this time we received no meaningful resolution from Servescape or the installer who was caught in the middle. Servescapes response was that we don't have a contract with them so it's not their problem. Truly negligent company and such a bummer because our yard was essentially fine before and is now a mess. read more

I have done three large orders with Mario and ServeScape in the last two months. I have found his attention to detail and responsiveness to be overwhelming. I was very apprehensive because I do like to see and touch my plants when I purchase them. All the plants I have received from them have been healthy, as described and I really appreciate the fact that being grown and sourced in our area means they are already acclimated to our climate. I have ordered several times from ServeScape, and each time received healthy,, beautiful plants.t terrific prices! I stumbled across ServeScape.com by accident in early 2022, when I was actually looking online for the contact info for a wholesale landscape supplier I knew of that also sold to the public. At the time, I was looking for any of a number of specific types of Camellia I wanted to use for screening, and nobody had ANYTHING in stock that I could use. I was also a little nervous about how I was going to transport 4 rather large plants in my sports sedan. So when I found ServeScape.com, discovered that they not only had a variety of Camellia that fit the size at maturity I was looking for, they had a wide RANGE of varieties of Camellias that would work for me, plus literally hundreds of other plants available to buy (in Feb/March, when other places have NOTHING), AND they delivered, I nearly swooned. AND when I realized they carried Native Plants I had been looking for in the metro ATL area literally for decades, it was nearly too much (finding those usually require a trip to the boonies, to find a small grower, and hope they have something appealing in stock that I could use). The pricing knocked me off my feet--I could buy a 3-gallon or larger plant for the price other places charged for 1-gallon container or smaller. I could find large-sized-container plants that other places didn't EVER carry! AND, what I eventually realized as something incredibly important, by being able to look online and see what was in stock, all the info about sun/shade, water needs, eventual size, bloom times, etc., I could actually make a little sketch or plan for where everything was going to go, how it would all be arranged, in which section of my yard, etc., instead of the usual "well, this is a cool plant" buy it, take it home, and then try to figure out where to put it. OR, I have an idea of what I want to do in that particular section of my yard, know I could use these particular plants, go to the garden center/nursery, and try to come close to that with whatever they have in stock, sometimes making several stops at a number of stores. I love the fact that ALL the plants come from local growers, AND that ServeScape doesn't keep an on-site inventory! What I'm seeing on their website is still being cared for at the growers' sites, until I order them, and ServeScape picks them up and stages them at their Chamblee warehouse! So when my plants are delivered to my door, they are literally fresh off the (local) farm, already adapted to our weather, etc. And the times when I have had contact with Customer Service has always been the very best experience possible! They bend over backwards to make things right to the customer's satisfaction, and each staff member I have interacted with has just been terrific. I was in dire need of new plants and placed an order online as this seemed like a great service during COVID-19 times. However, the day after I placed my order I received notice they would not be delivered for another week even though they charge a $45 delivery fee. I asked if they could be delivered faster and they promptly said no. The company didn't try to work with me or anything even after advertising fast delivery and not mentioning any delays with delivery on their site. Terrible customer service! I am glad to receive my money back and use a better company. read more

I ordered two chindo viburnums that were absolutely beautiful. There was a bit of an issue because it was a summer dig and the plants ended up weighing over 500 lbs because of the extra roots. Obviously I wasn't able to plant them myself, so they sent a crew over to help and they were fantastic. They were efficient, clean, and even built a wall to help my yard be even more aesthetically pleasing-I didn't even ask for that, but it really helped so much! I would highly recommend this place and I know I will be going back when I need more yard help. read more

The designers at ServeScape are amazing! Our backyard was a total mess until they helped us with a plan. Now we use the space all the time! It was especially magical during the pandemic last year when we essentially lived outdoors. :) It's also super easy to get really beautiful plants from the website! Servscape was highly recommended to me by a professional gardener. I was not disappointed. The blueberry plants I received were is great condition and the price was lower than any others I could find. Customer service was top notch with personal attention (actual humans, no press #1 for....). Delivery came earlier than expected and notifications were timely and accurate. It is sad that one customer (whom admits they received a full refund) is dragging down their YELP rating. Please read my review and give them a try.
