STORE MANAGERS DO NOT FOLLOW HOME DEPOT PRICE MATCHING POLICIES!!!!
Home Depot has matched Amazon.com prices for me in the past, just a month ago. I went into Home Depot tonight, found an item Home Depot sells for 139.00. On Amazon.com, it is 94.99. Steve Habrel, an assistant manager told me they will not match Amazon's price, even though I showed him the listing on my smart phone for the same exact item on Amazon which will be at my front door in 2 days because I am a Prime member, and I told him about Home Depot's price matching policies concerning the meet and beat by 10% lower for local competitors and the price matching policy for online stores such as Amazon. I TOLD HIM ABOUT THE POLICY CLEARLY STATED ON THE HOME DEPOT WEBSITE!!!!! Faith, an associate at the return desk rudely told me even though the policy reads on Home Depot's site that they do match online pricing, she told me she would not match it because Steve Habrel said they will not. I replied by saying "well I guess I'll be spending my money at Amazon with free 2 day shipping." Faith actually replied by saying "well that's fine." There is one Home Depot employee certainly interested in driving customer traffic away from where she works. (Try to understand that genius sales strategy) Even though I wanted to say back to her, yet refrained from doing so, "had I known I would be dealing with such 'douche baggery' here at Home Depot, I would not have driven the 14 minutes it took to get here." I dont know what I was thinking by going to the Home Depot. Amazon.com is a few simple clicks on the computer, and WHAM! It's at my door 2 days later with free shipping. A lot of items have no sales tax as well. So, I purchased the same exact keyless Schlage lock from Amazon.com. 45.00$ dollars saved. I'll see it in 2 days. I honestly do not understand why more people do not shop on Amazon.com. 1. I save gas by not driving to a store. 2. I save wear and tear on my car 3. The selection is expansive compared to Home Depot. 4. I don't fight the crowds 5. United States postal employees, UPS, and Fed Ex employees are far more deserving of better income from increased freight revenue than douche bag, power trip Home Depot employees. I drive for an LTL Teamsters company and love seeing all the Amazon.com freight we haul. It amazes me that there would be this douche baggery going on here with more and more brick and mortar stores losing business to the ever increasing convenience of online sales. Here is a link to Home Depot's policy stating they will will price match online purchases even though Steve Habrel, Home Depot manager said they will not. I will never order anything from Home Depot.com again and will never shop at Home Depot again as long as they have managers who do not abide by the company policies, which causes customers to be jerked around. Lowes is closer to the house anyhow and Amazon.com has better pricing with free 2 day shipping.

This is the item I was requesting they price match, and according to their stated price matching policy on their website, the Beaver Creek Ohio store was supposed to do that.
