With the lockdowns and limited to online orders and curb side pick up, it really makes it harder for someone like me who is unsure to purchase the correct component. I was looking to connect a garden hose to my laundry faucet. When I called and reached the general department extension, I spoke with this amazing lady, who tried redirecting me to the pluming department, but no one was answering. So instead of leaving it at that, she asked what I was looking for and spent the time going to the department herself, picked up 3 different choices, and read the model number for me so I can look at it online, spoke to her colleagues to get more information, and gave her personal experiences. And when I picked up my order, it fits perfectly!! This kind of amazing service is rare to come by and I truly believe that it should be recognized. We've arrived around 20:00 yesterday and went to pickup boards to be cut. We asked multiple times for assistance to get someone at the large saw to multiple people, no one came. We asked to see the manager, no one came. We left after nearly 25 minutes waiting. This is not my usual experience but in less then a week it is the second time i ask for assistance without a positive outcome. A note: the staff were not overwhelmed with demands at the time. Be forewarned, to pickup off the shelf or to ask where a part is located, you should be fine. anything more complex, you have to hunt down the people that will really help you or care about the service. read more

This is such a convenient location. I feel like I'm here everyday. The funny thing is one of the employees thought I was a contractor! I love how big the selection is. Anything I need there is a few options to pick from and the quality is generally great. They carry all the big names and the return policy is almost as good as Costco. Service is always pretty good, the employees seem pretty knowledgeable. My only complaint is that sometimes it's hard to find an employee amongst the hundred aisles. read more

The Home Depot - Halloween! - Hardware Stores Near Me - Whitby, Ontario

This Home Depot is a bit further from my house than some of its competitors, but I prefer to go to this location when possible. I'm a DIY-er, so I often frequent hardware stores when I have time off or on the weekend to get this part or that component or what have you. I've had some really great experiences at this particular Home Depot that keep me coming back. I find this store is very logically organized. I don't find myself running around looking for this that and the other; I can generally walk in and figure out where what I'm looking for should be located. As well, I find that they have a good number of staff on at all times so that I don't have to look far in case I have questions. Almost every single time I go in, someone stops me to ask if I need help locating anything. I was looking for wall-mounted coat racks and I found them on my own, not a minute later an employee came up asking if I had found what I was looking for. One of the stand out experiences I had involved a light fixture I did not purchase. We bought our home completely renovated, so when one of the three glass shades on the fixture in my bathroom shattered, I was unsure of what to do since I had no box, no receipts and no proof of purchase. I called the manufacturer and got instructions on what to do and proceeded to Home Depot to order a replacement shade. The ladies were so very helpful and managed to get me a replacement immediately and took care of things on the back end with the manufacturer for me so I wouldn't have to wait a week for the part. Overall, Home Depot, this specific location too, is my go-to hardware store. I find the staff here to be incredibly friendly and approachable, the store is laid out well and its easy to find what you're looking for if you're in a rush.
