What I like about Famous Tate is that it is small enough to not wander around like you would in Lowe's or Home Depot. This is a specialized store, so I don't have to filter though all the stuff I don't need to find the dishwasher I do. The sales people are so friendly and readily available. My sales person is Napoleon, but Bob is great too and has helped out my parents. They give you time to look at stuff. There is no high pressure tactics, but when you have questions they are right there to answer them rather than waiting while they call someone over the intercom. Due the pandemic, many items have been out of stock due to supply chain issues. I walked in, told Napoleon what I wanted and he walked me right to the ones that were available. I didn't have to wait for him to pour through a computer to say, yes we have this, no we don't. Delivery is fast and convenient. They will even haul away your old stuff which is great. They go above and beyond for customer satisfaction. I bought something from them 2 years ago and it broke. It had a manufacturers warranty so I called them up and they were easily able to find my receipt and email it to me so I could send it to the manufacturer who then promptly fixed my item. Overall, a great and personal shopping experience.

And if they had called, I certainly would have answered because I was patiently waiting for my machine to be fixed. And the email problem had nothing to do with famous Tates. It was that I gave the email address to the service company and they got it wrong not once booked twice and then said that I never responded to their email. Which of course I never got. So it just was wrong all around... I do appreciate you responding to my review though. And just to be clear also it wasn't Allstate. It was who they service contract out to.

    I had an issue with my refrigerator not cooling so I contacted Mr appliance to have them come take…read morea look at it. First the good, they were able to come out the same day. She initially told me that if I use their service, the $119 service call would come off the top of their bill. I thought that was fair so I had them come on out. Now the bad: the gentleman came out and opened the freezer and push the button to turn the light off which also turns the fan on. He said the fan was the problem and it would need to be replaced. Told me the job would cost about $600 and he wasn't sure if that was the only issue. He never checked the fan motor with any tool to see if that was the problem. I then put the refrigerator in diagnostic mold and showed him the fan motor actually did run. But he said that was only on high speed and would not run on low speed. Furthermore he never checked any other item to confirm that the fan motor was the only problem. There was also a little bit of a language barrier as he had a bit of broken English, but we got by that. The end result was I did not feel comfortable with his decision about the fan motor being the only problem. I did however order a fan motor on my own and replaced it myself (just in case his diagnosis was correct) and it took about 45 minutes to do so. It was a very easy fix and why it would have taken him so much longer to do it I have no idea. I will update this post in about a week or so to let everyone know if his diagnosis was correct or not. I don't want to cast any disparaging remarks on a company if it's not accurate. I felt like he was trying to talk me out of having the work done and was just trying to get his $119 service charge. Which now I feel like I was basically cheated out of.

    Please save yourself time, frustration, and money. More trouble than it was worth. The owner Aldo…read morehides behind his warranty to justify bad business practices. Had problems from the start. First the hose for the ice maker wasn't connected water leaked on the floors. Then the ice maker leaked. Then no more than a day or two assed in the warranty the refrigerator completely went out. I had to throw out hundreds of dollars in food. So he offers a replacement and brings me another fridge same make similar model on a Friday and the delivery people says it may take 24-48 hour to reach proper temperature and it doesn't. So I called Aldo and he send a real technician that tell him that fridge isn't working and that it would take too much time to repair it. So I go in person the next day to speak with him about the situation only to have him imply that we're we doing something to the fridge and after making my argument that it might just be the model he begrudgingly agrees to give me a base model that cost a 150.00 less then one I purchased originally. I left feeling cheated but figured hey what can go wrong with a plain Jane refrigerator. So his crew show up next day to take the non working fridge and bring me the base model one, but the base model wouldn't turn on and they didn't know why. At that point I was so frustrated I told them to take them Both. A day or two later he text me to tell me that the cord was disconnected in transit and it is now working. Well at this point I was tired frustrated and just lost all confidence in his business. I say fine if I get the base model fridge that you say will work can you please refund the $150.00 difference for the base model fridge. I stated to him please make this concession and we will call it a day. As long as it work when you drop it off we are done! I don't care if it break down the next day. You can consider this matter concluded, because I was just fed up. Well he didn't reply back. I gave him a week or maybe more and ask again and nope he will not budge. He hides behind his warranty. He stated that he did me a favor by exchanging it when it was out of warranty (mind you it was few day). 3 refrigerators and everyone he brought didn't work. So wittingly or unwittingly his stuff doesn't work and if it does it just long enough to last out the warranty. Then he hides behind that used appliances may last fews a day or years. There is no real way to guarantee. He offered me the base model fridge but I told him to I didn't want it and let him keep my $350.00. I was fed up with mile long texting back and forth asking him to do the right thing. Also every problem according to him was such a simple fix, but it was anything but simple. I consider this lesson learned. Please save yourself the frustration and lost income. I tried to load the mile long text messages so you can see for yourselves but I didn't see a place I could load them.
