This Home depot is A**. The system went down but charged me 3 times the guy said there will be a receipt on my card when I asked for a printed one. He said give it a couple days the extra charges should go away and they didn't so I went back in. The manager said there's nothing we can do typical BS. Dont go here you'll be charged extra and your bank will have to dispute it and that takes 2 weeks. read more

This location had exactly what we were looking for lumber wise but their machine was unable to cut it (it kept getting stuck due to the unevenness of the lattice). We had to use a hand saw. The staff member was friendly, but he got called away and wasn't able to assist us in the cutting process. There were other people waiting for lumber to get cut as well and it took a bit for them to find assistance. The staff member was helping on the loading dock so it wasn't his fault but some of the customers were getting a bit annoyed at the wait. The location was clean and we were able to check out fast. The parking lot is quite spacious and you can get in and out easily. The store was clean and well organized. Overall we were satisfied. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Bought a freezer from them 3 months ago. Never worked from the beginning, after 2 repairs I stocked it. Now it's broke again and I lost 800 bucks worth of food. I had the stock number and description and it took an hour and a half on hold and speaking to four different employees to find out that they were out of stock. The first person should have been able to have told me that in the first 10 minutes, if they were so inclined. Very poor service. read more

Visiting helping my mother, I went in looking for some flooring as well as a water heater. A young man named Cam asked if he could help me, and proceeded to amicably assist me with my issues with flooring and then in plumbing as well. It's rare to find someone knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. He did. Awesome kid, he should be on the management track, hope he does well. read more

I'm giving Home Depot 1 star just because I can't give no stars. 8 years ago I bought a clothes washer from them and now something probably simple is wrong with it. It keeps going out of balance. When I called I was on hold for 15 minutes then when someone answered they hung up on me. I recalled and got through then passed from one phone to another over and over then finally got through to someone in the know only to be told they have no record of my buying the appliance which at the time I was looking at the reciept. Then I got sent to another store in another town????? Home depot wants your money but won't stand behind their sales. As far as I'm concerned they are nothing but a bunch of con artists. An employee working at the register (named Karen) shouted across the aisle at my family to "stop playing with the key machine". We were looking to buy a duplicated key and we were unsure if the machine was self-service or if we needed assistance. We were probably at the machine for less than a minute and looking to see which style key matched the one we wanted to duplicate, not even attempting to operate the machine yet. The employee working the register was in the middle of assisting another customer when she shouted at us. She gave the indication that she thought we were playing with the equipment, messing around, and not valued as customers. After this she did not even offer to assist us in using the machine, we even asked her if it was self-service or employee operated. It was incredibly rude of her to assume we had ill intentions, shout at us while helping another customer, and to not actually offer assistance. read more

I'm redoing my living room and getting some much needed stuff for my home. I ordered my stuff online because I have Multiple sclerosis with secondary Parkinson's. They brought my couch and loveseat and the screw holes didn't match up where the screws were so we had to have new holes drilled into the couch and loveseat and had to pay somebody to do it. I ordered paint that I had to pick up and I didn't think I had to look at whether or not they gave me interior or exterior paint for my living room walls but today I go to open it and I see on the outside exterior paint, well exterior paint on interior walls can actually kill my whole family because it has chemicals in it to keep it from getting moldy and stuff on the outside. I looked at my screenshot of what I ordered. I ordered interior paint they didn't even give me the right color they gave me a totally different color. I ordered a garage door, got a delivery day, so I get a message saying my garage door accessories were ready to pick up? Here we go again Getting someone to take me in to pick up the accessories. We get there sitting waiting for a tiny little box of accessories for my garage door and out come the actual garage door? I said Really I don't have a way to get it out it was supposed to be delivered and the kid say oh well you have it now? I get home trying to figure out how I'm getting it out of the car and the 2lb accessory kit had been delivered? I ordered switch plates, they sent my switch plates one at a time I ordered maybe 15 I get a notice saying that I have an order to pick up at the store? They made me pick up 1 switch plate? The reason for me ordering online is because I have a Multiple sclerosis and can't drive anymore But I get somebody to take me to the store I get one switch plate that they couldn't ship? The customer service lady shook her head and said oops sorry and walked away. I ordered Flooring some of the flooring came with boxes open I haven't gotten to that yet but I'm guaranteeing that something will be wrong with that because somethings been wrong with every single thing that I bought from them. This is the very last time that I will ever shop inside or outside to buy anything from Home Depot. Oh I forgot about the clock the $53 clock that I got that is a piece of paper glued on a piece of plastic. Beautiful right? NOT. I'm so done with Home Depot. I am going to start going to Lowes and I hope they have their sh*t together more than Home Depot does. read more

I rarely give 5 stars, but this review is based on my first and only time at this location. I needed a 4X4 piece of wood cut down a bit. I purchased it from another Home Depot in Maryland, but had recently moved... I called the store and spoke with Mike in Lumber. I explained to him the situation. He advised me come in and he'd see what he could do.. THE GOOD... -plenty of parking -upon walking to lumber section Mike walked over to me and asked if I was the one who called...the fact that he actually remembered was great -he measured the section I needed gone just to confirm exact amount I noted on the wood -he had saw machine cut it precisely where it needed to be Overall, I'd return to this Hope Depot simply because of this experience. read more

Home Depot in York has not met my expectations. We went in looking for mortar repair and a lawn mower and failed on both accounts. The staff was knowledgeable but the store just didn't have what we were looking for in stock, or at least not the quantity that we needed. Lowes has slightly higher prices but they do actually have the items in stock when I want to buy them and that goes a long ways. read more

I wanted to buy new registers for the new floors we installed on the 1st floor. While I was looking at registers I got kicked off the aisle so 2 employees could put a pallet away. They drove a fork lift down the aisle, blocked off the aisle so I couldn't go down it, and then started chit chatting with the pallet still on the fork truck. Almost 5 minutes later I gave up as the pallet was still not put away and went a block down the road to Lowe's to buy the registers I needed. read more

I have been trying to speak with someone at Home Depot. My first call I asked the automated service for the kitchen dept. After being transferred and waiting TWELVE minutes I called and redialed. The second call, after waiting 3 minutes I asked to speak to a manager. After waiting an additional 6 minutes I hung up again. Astonishingly terrible customer service! Tried to call in to talk about buying counter tops but I cant get anyone to answer the phone I go back to the front they send me back to the kitchen department over and over. So decided tonight after work I'd stop in to talk in person. The person that does this work leaves st 4pm. When I asked the sales girl if there was really no one else that could help me she called the on duty manager and asked if they knew anything about counter tops...... they don't... end of conversation. Manager didn't come back to talk about what my questions were... didnt offer to take my number to have someone call me... neither did the person that was working the floor in that area. i went in here looking for a washer and dryer. upon entering the store i was immediately asked if i needed help finding something and was directed to the right area. the gentlemen that was staffing this area was filling in for another coworker but he was still able to give a lot of good advice on the products, and even sought out another employee to get answers to my more specific questions. this location has really great customer service! read more

Sure they are there for you when you buy but If there ever becomes a problem with your order for a new washing machine they will not help you at all in fact they will not even care of you decide to cancel your order due to lack of assistance. Never shopping here again I ordered a washing machine and it came three days after original delivery day given when it arrived they put a huge dent in it getting it off the truck and then it took them five days to inform me when I would even be scheduled to receive a new one they could care less I have two babies and haven't had a washing machine for three weeks. We ordered a new Fridgadaire oven. At the time I told the person checking me out, that we have Propane, not natural gas. I told the idiot that I needed a conversion kit. They said, no problem. I paid $24 for the kit. So they delivered this morning. NO CONVERSION KIT! They delivered at 8:00 am. I had already scheduled someone to come out and install it at 11:00 am. Same day. The people that brought the oven were not careful first of all. Secondly, when they realized there was a problem, they couldn't get out the door quick enough! I called Home Depot. Got put on hold forever. They asked me THREE times if we had natural gas. What part of no didn't they understand? They did absolutely nothing. They didn't have a kit and couldn't or wouldn't get one for several days. This forced me to call around at the last second trying to find a kit. Found one 30 minutes away in the pouring rain. Wtf is wrong with Home Depot? They are IDIOTS! They lost a faithful customer because of this. And I'll spread the word any chance I get. read more

We purchased a new washer for $498.00 and after 3-4 weeks it tore holes in the first item of clothing. We thought it was just a "freak accident." However within the next 4-5 months, 2 more rather expensive items were ruined. When we went to the Home Depot we were referred to GE the manufacturer. When the GE repair man called, he already knew what was wrong with this washer without looking at it. The washer needs a new motor and new agitator as the software in the motor does not work correctly. We do not want a "new, repaired" washer in which the warranty will likely time out on, leaving us with a $500.00 lemon. The consumer implied warranty that states that a product should be sold without major defects and should perform as intended for a reasonable amount of time, is a law meant for times like this. HOME DEPOT WILL NOW HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE PA ATTORNEY GENERAL ON THIS ONE! Too bad, we did like shopping there. read more
