After that, we were lucky enough to come across Montessori Academy of West Omaha. First and foremost, I have always felt as though each individual family is treated not only as family (as cliche as that sounds,) but the school understands each family's unique wants and needs. I am a teacher and wanted my kids home with me over the summer months, this is one of the only Montessori schools in Omaha that not only allows that, but encourages it because "what's best for your family is best for us!" even though that translates to a loss in tuition for the school. I have never once thought of Montessori Academy of West Omaha as a school that only sees my kids as a tuition bill, which I cannot say the same for the other school we attended. This school truly embodies the Montessori philosophy of "follow the child." Our daughter looks forward to school, her friends, and being challenged where she is at individually. The small class sizes at Montessori Academy of West Omaha allow for my daughter to receive direct, specialized instruction. We all know kids are not the same, not all kids are interested in the same things, this school has proven they can nurture each child in growing academically, socially, and emotionally. As a retired professor of music I appreciated the extreme talent of that director. He is nothing short of brilliant! It's obvious that the congregation appreciates good music that is also quite innovative and even upbeat! The service itself was a bit under energized but the music made up for it :)

People are friendly, earnest, and engaged. It's big enough that you could choose to slip in and out and not get involved, if that's what you want. But it's small enough to make many connections and dive into involvement early. There are wonderful educational programs for chlidren and adults, as well. If you are looking for a place that is serious about faith and also serious about social justice, this is the place.

Creighton University is big enough that it has just about anything you could want in a school including undergraduate, graduate school, and all the professional schools, but small enough to get all the personal attention that you would need. I really felt that I got a quality education here, and my professors really cared about my education. For those of you who don't know where Creighton is located, it's located in Nebraska. Once you get over the initial freezing your okole off, it really grows on you!! The facility is in EXCELLENT, CLEAN condition. Each room full of natural light and is stocked with many fun and interesting activities and Montessori works. My daughter made several friends there. The owner, Dana, is truly a kind and caring person. She handled some Covid situations, which were unavoidable in any business, with extreme tact and professionalism. She showed clear consideration for all students, parents and teachers. I brought my concerns to her and she listened patiently and responded fairly. I had to make sure and leave a review after seeing that one disgruntled person has made an attempt to disparage Dana-- and for some reason Yelp considers that review the only valid one. I hope that anyone looking into Cornerstone will go visit and see for themselves what a great place it is.

We transitioned from another Montessori in Omaha about 2 years ago; were welcomed with open arms and could not believe all of the things we were missing from the Montessori curriculum in our last program.
