We fostered a puppy last week 9/3/19. When picking her up I asked for paperwork in case anything happened to the puppy. Accidents happen right well Griday morning it took a turn and early that morning my husband let her out with our other dog. When he went to let them in the foster puppy did not come. He looked all over the backyard and behind our fence to see if she was there she wasn't. Well I call the lounge and notify them and the ladies told me to call Beth Deptula Prigge the owner. I called she told me to post on social media,pound,etc. She than text me later on while I was working and said she was at my home. I pulled up and went inside to let my other dog out as she just let herself through my home to look at my backyard. She was saying that there is no way the puppy could have gotten out. She left afterwards and than kept texting throughout the day saying she and her husband were going to talk with my neighbors and that they didn't want to "fuck" with him. I told her there was no need for profanity. A few hrs went by and she showed up unannounced again around 8 with flyers and another person and harassed me. They than go around and put up flyers and come back around 10 with 3 people. All 3 ladies attacked me saying it's odd that the puppy went missing all the sudden. I must have someone holding onto her. Beth and the ladies questioned my 8yr old daughter. I told them to leave her alone. By 10:45pm my neighbor came out and told them to leave and they did not want too using profanity in front of my daughter. Saturday comes around and around noon this silver hummer comes around. My husband is working on the heater of my truck. My husband turned around asked "can I help you" where Beth's husband Chris says"you find my fucking dog?" My husband says "no we have been looking for her" they go back and forth as Beth is sitting in her hummer yelling at me while I am on the porch. My husband asked them to leave and her husband says"You will be seeing me fucking later buddy!" I called the police and got them involved. I have been doing nothing but posting about the puppy and still nothing but harassment and being told that we will not be getting the puppy back if found that she will go to another home. Many people have commented about this happening several times with her and her husband. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE HOUND LOUNGE AT ALL!! ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY FOR THEM. read more

We started taking our two dogs to Hound Lounge in March of this year. One of our dogs is a little too scared of other dogs so I'm always looking for ways to increase her socialization in ways that feel safe for and to her. Hound Lounge has met this need perfectly. We don't need to do daycare because my boyfriend works from home, but getting her out with other pets has made a real impact on her confidence and other canine interactions. Additionally, we used their boarding services for both our dogs and they have clearly been doted on. In fact, one of our dogs came back to us limping - we weren't too concerned, usually too much activity just inflames his arthritis. However, Hound Lounge contacted me after we picked him up to check on him, told me what she'd done to help him through out the wknd, and also talked to me about possible remedies we could try for him. It was the most incredible customer service. As a side note, our male dog died very unexpectedly a couple weeks ago and Hound Lounge made me feel they were as brokenhearted as we were upon this reality. In addition to checking in to see if everything was alright after we called to cancel his daycare appointment, she sent me multiple pictures they had of him at daycare. They also have been doubly caring to our remaining dog who is very definitely missing her brother and (now) going through a move to a new home. I am a dog person who does not easily relax when someone else is taking care of my pets....but I have absolutely no qualms leaving our dogs with Hound Lounge. I should mention that both my dogs are "bully" (hate that word) breeds and Hound Lounge never balked at having them in daycare. In addition to being open-minded I learned they have their own bully breeds and know first hand what loving dogs they are and how far the reality is from the perception. read more

Wow... After reading Jonathan T review below, i have to say I was headed into the same review... My dog Willow, and often her buddy Cooper love to go. It is one place they drag us in, anxious to be with the staff and play with all the other pups, even though they are best buds they do venture off with the others.. Willow is a golden retriever that loves to hike/jog with me, but on days when I just can not get out to give her the necessary time/attention/exercise, its off to the Hound Lounge for her. As energetic as she is, this definitely satisfies her and she comes home ready to have down time.. I like the outside facility so my dog isn't confused as to where to potty, like when she goes to day camp at other places they have them go wherever, and since she doesn't do that, I feel like she holds her potty longer than she should.. I buy the punch cards also which makes it very convenient especially if another family member/authorized friend needs to pick her up. The staff has always been courteous and informative.. The Hound Lounge is absolutely WONDERFUL !!!!!!! The owner's Chris and Beth are expert, caring dog owners and trainers, besides being great all around people. Their employees are superb, caring and more than helpful. I rescued Duke, a severely abused German Shepard, just before The Hound Lounge opened. He was and is an intelligent, wonderful, sensitive and loving animal with health issues because of his abuse. From day one at the Hound Lounge he was treated with kindness and the staff took extra time to help socialize him, and worked with his special dietary needs. Duke is now doing WONDERFULLY. He loves it at The Hound Lounge. I count Beth & Chris and their staff among my blessings. I've been a dog owner my whole life and The Hound Lounge is THE BEST DAYCARE I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, besides being the cleanest, classiest and most tasteful daycare there is. I have also boarded Duke there during the week, including the weekend, and he had a GREAT TIME and the staff was wonderful with him. My cattle dog Rider was injured last winter and had to wear a full leg splint for 8 weeks, then 4 more weeks with leash-walking only. He also had to wear "the cone of shame" that whole time as well to keep him from tearing off his cast and licking the wounds. I took him to the Hound Lounge daily during his recovery as he was to be still and rest during the healing process. The staff was great. They put on his winter cast booty every time he was taken out to the bathroom. They took special care of him. Taking Rider to the Hound Lounge during his recovery gave me the piece of mind I needed as I could not take off work for the 12-weeks needed for his recovery. Rider has made a complete recovery and had regained full use of his leg. I know that the care he received during the day at the Hound Lounge helped him to rest and to be still so his leg could heal. The Hound Lounge is the perfect business in the perfect building. it was built to be a daycare, so what better way to use it than for doggie daycare!? I took my pooch here mostly because it was on the way to work. It was great to be able to drop him off and not worry about him at all until the end of the day. They are open to 7, so if I had extra work or a meeting I didn't have ti rush out to grab him. I buy punch cards for full-day care, and it is really quite a good investment. My dog needs about 1-2 days/week with other dogs. The staff love him and he loves them. Never had issues with fights or injury, and every evening Dean comes home tired and ready to chill. I recommend Hound Lounge to any dog owner looking for a safe, fun place for your pooch. The owner's love dogs, and it shows in how they run their business and take care of my pal. read more

I love the hound lounge and everything they stand for. It's very clear they're in it for the dogs, not the money. I love that they rescue strays out of the kindness of their heart and care for them with money out of their pocket. That's a sign that they really love dogs! The owner is extremely nice and Every time I walk through those doors the staff greet me with a friendly smile. They know me by name and know exactly who my pups are. Some days they have my dogs ready to go by the time I walk through the front doors because they see my car pull up. The staff there are very involved and my dogs love them very much. I love that they take photos of playtime and post them on Facebook. I look through the window I see the handlers on the go playing, which I love! I'm very glad I found the hound lounge. The Hound Lounge is absolutely awesome! Recently, I found myself in need of day care for my dog. When seeing the Hound Lounge for the first time, I knew it was the place for her. The facility is clean, well maintained, and extremely dog friendly. The owners and staff are kind, courteous and professional. It is obvious that the Hound Lounge is focused on providing first class services for dogs. Six weeks ago, my dog was in an accident and had to have surgery to repair her left hind leg. The Hound Lounge has been very accommodating and attentive to my dog's special needs during the recovery process. I had no doubts that they would be able to care for her in the manner she needed to be taken care of. If I could give the Hound Lounge 6 stars I would! I recently acquired a 15 week old puppy (she's now almost 5 months) & needed to find a boarding facility. I looked into a few around town but, didn't get the warm fuzzies from any....UNTIL I toured the HL. For what you pay for, by far it's the best deal in town. The staff is lovely & you can tell they genuinely care about each pet. My little Honey Bear spent almost 2 weeks there & came back to me a well adjusted & happy pup. Another cool thing is their Facebook page updates. When I was able to get wifi/service while abroad, there were pics of my pooch playing & having a grand time. I have nothing but, amazing things to say about this business. Top notch all the way! My pup will be back for day care & boarding. :) read more

I started taking my Rhodesian Ridgeback there this summer for daycare and it has been the best experience for him. He has so much energy and by the time I pick him up at the end of the day he is exhausted. Every morning he waits by the door all excited because he knows he is going to see his friends at the Lounge. On the days he doesn't get to go he sits on the couch all depressed looking at me with sad eyes. The Hound Lounge is very big, with plenty of room for romping and playing for even the biggest dog. When they get tired they can take a nap on one of their many couches. I would recommend the Hound Lounge to anyone that wants the utmost best care for their dogs. We were looking for a daycare for our 1 year old weimaraner puppy, we contacted the Hound Lounge to get information and they were prompt, professional and friendly. They were flexible letting us get our dog over for an evaluation in the early evening after my work hours. When she did her first day we were both very nervous about dropping our dog off but they made sure to post pictures and when my husband called to check on her they gave him a report of how she was doing. She loves coming to daycare and she needs the interaction with other dogs and a bit more exercise than she's getting at home and they've been able to provide all that for her and more. I feel totally comfortable dropping her off with them and she's excited to go. read more

I can't say enough good things about the Hound Lounge. I have taken all 3 of my dogs there for day care and they always come home exhausted. I've also taken my friend's dog Kenai there several times. They always accomodate him on a drop- in basis and when I ask for them to bathe him they do an excellent job. Kenai gets very excited when we pull into the parking lot! I like the fact that the lobby is so inviting and CLEAN all the time. Recently they have added a "give and take" cart where you can donate an item or take something that appeals to you for your dog. It's obvious the owners love dogs and are in business for more than just making a buck. Thank you for providing such a safe and enjoyable place for my dogs! read more

We were very impressed with the Hound Lounge! We boarded our two dog for a few nights. The rooms were very clean and had flat screen TVs! The play areas were also clean and had couches for the dogs to sit on. It did not even smell like a typical doggie day care! The staff was very friendly and we felt very comfortable leaving our dogs with them. At the time, I was about to have a baby. We needed a place that we could drop off our dogs any day - even on the weekend. The owner was very accommodating, even giving me her cell phone number incase I went into labor on the weekend. It was a huge stress reliever knowing that we had a plan for our dogs. We will be using the Hound Lounge in the future! read more

This place is wonderful. The staff is awesome, the owners are great. It was awesome to find a doggie daycare that would accept a pit bull (ours is a mix, but was still unwelcome elsewhere). Our dogs are a handful, but the staff and other day care patrons somehow manage to exhaust our pups every single time we bring them in. Their boarding is also great. We left our boys there for two weeks and were pleased with everything. We loved (well, I loved, my husband made fun of me) to be able to see pictures on their Facebook page of our dogs having fun while we were away. Bottom line, this place is awesome. When you decide to leave your fur babies here for daycare or boarding, you will not be disappointed. read more

We absolutely love this place! They were a complete blessing when we received our new pup and had issues with housing. The owners and handlers are such animal lovers. I feel like my dog is with extended family when she is there, knowing they are taking care of her/loving her as we would. Not to mention giving her interaction when we are away. They've always been so accommodating when it comes to boarding her. Our dog loves going! Also, I love how invested the owners are. They are always fostering animals out of pocket and trying to find them genuinely loving homes. Great people in my book! I love being able to see fun pics of all the dogs on Facebook as well. We adopted Sampson from the pound in November as a 2 year old with no socialization or training and TONS of energy. We found out about the Hound Lounge and thought that a couple of half days a week would allow him to socialize with his peeps and give this DIOD (dual income one dog) family the piece of mind of knowing he was playing to his hearts content in a safe enviornment. We started out slow because we didn't know much about the business but they were very willing to let us look at the facility, explain how they operated, and watch the clients in action. I have been taking my pup to the Hound Lounge 2 - 3 times a week for Doggie Day Camp since early December 2012. I can't say enough great things about the place. Everyone working there really cares about the dogs, seem to actually like their job and are always smiling. The facility is very clean. I can't say the same about the other two places I have used. The staff let me know when her scar from spaying got irritated several weeks after surgery when I hadn't noticed. My pup loves it too. She is completely worn out after her 6hr half-day and she never wants to leave. Her puppy play manners have greatly improved while going there. read more

Miley has been hanging out at The Hound Lounge for over 6 months and she loves it! She has learned to play nicely with other dogs. Although she has her moments, she is so much better with others. The staff is very friendly and you can tell they love what they do. Although Miley is supposed to go once a week, she often brings me her collar and leash in the morning and barks at me until I give in and take her! On these days, I just call up and they welcome her all the time. I also love how pictures are posted on Facebook. What 'mom' doesn't want to she her little one in pictures?? The Hound Lounge has been a wonderful addition to our busy lives. We have taken our two dogs there on an as needed basis (depending on work schedules) and the staff has always been warm and welcoming for my dogs to join daycare. One of my pups even had a hard time adjusting to the large groups and the staff was patient with her needs. The owners are very friendly and happy to talk "dogs."
