He did four projects for me while I was out of town for five days: First, Joe installed beautifully sanded and stained trim around a vertically stacked window in my loft room. Second, he installed new wood steps with handrails on my back porch. He added more width to the stairs than I previously had so that two people could walk down the steps together comfortably. The railings were sturdily installed. I could not have been more pleased by the safety and roominess of the steps and railings. For several years I lived with an unsightly sway in the middle of my back porch because two of the supports were rotting. Joe had to dig out a lot of rock to install the new posts. With the sway removed and new steps added, the porch looks practically new. Joe also put an aluminum patch over a woodpecker hole inmy cedar siging under the gabel on the fron of the house. The work was dangerous because of the steep angle needed to set the ladder high up from a very narrow front porch. The patch was hardily noticible, blending with the color of the naturalized cedar. It was an affordable solution that avoided having to replace the cedar siding. How wonderful tit was to come back home after a five day trip and find all this work expertedly finished. Trusting his word that they were found, I paid him and subsequently hired him to build a fence. However, when he returned to mark the yard for the city, it became clear the pins were never actually located. His markings were significantly off and did not match my official property survey--at one point, his 'guess' even marked my own trampoline as being outside my property line. He began digging in multiple areas, including near my neighbor's property, without any certainty of where the lines were. When confronted, he admitted in writing that this was his first time performing this service and that the results were incorrect. While he refunded my $500 fence deposit, he refused to refund the $100 for the failed pin service. Following this, his communication became incredibly unprofessional. Homeowners beware: Incorrect property markings can lead to serious legal disputes with neighbors or city code violations. If I had built my fence based on his markings, it would have been a disaster. I strongly recommend hiring a qualified professional for property lines and being very cautious before hiring this business.

However, it is just one person and the TV weighs 75 pounds so I offered to help. 3 hdmi cables ripped most likely when Tv was taken off wall so holes could be re-drilled. I should have removed the cables before he came by to fix but didn't and I'm not sure if I helped him take the Tv down the second time or not but I may have. He hesitently strung new hdmi cables (mine) back through the wall but when I tested the ports later one was damaged. Regardless, from the moment we started the process earlier that day I said my main priority was getting my Tv mounted safely. He then blamed me for wanting to help (I didn't but he came alone and I was worried about the TV) and said he "didn't want to step on my toes" and ask me to remove the cables. That's either a lie or a very risky way to do business. My tv could've been rendered unusable. Yes it was our mistake but one that shouldn't have been made. Fortunatly for now it seems like it's only 25% less useable but he blamed me and offered no compensation. I also noticed my stand alone freezer he unplugged was not plugged back in so about $100 in food was wasted as well. So I would not recommend him and would go with a different company that is less likely to make mistakes and more likely to own up to them if they do make them.
