This was the second time I went to the Humble Barber. I must of forgotten to leave a review my bad. Brad the owner took care of me. He is really nice and really good at what he does. Brad takes his time on each person and does not skimp in any way. He makes you feel special and that you are his only focus. I highly recommend Brad The Humble Barber. If you are in need of a really good haircut and you are in the area stop by and let Brad do his magic on you. Only thing I can say is if you are in a rush call first to see how the schedule is. When you get there you check in and put your name down you do not have to wait you just need to be back before your time sot. Traveling for work stopped in to get hair cut. Great decision on my end. Guys were friendly and did a great job with the cut.

Nick, is a true artisan of his trade craft. He dials up the best fades, straight razor shaves and conversions. It has become part of my routine now it's my 2nd cut in the last month. I now drop in for a cut whenever I'm in town from So Cal monthly. This is a must do if your into proper cuts done with pride and authenticity. Be back in a couple weeks. As a female I admittedly felt a bit uneasy about walking into a barbershop, but my own stylist suggested it for what I wanted. Brad couldn't have been cooler. I signed in, left for a bit and returned with only moments to spare. The place is incredibly cool. Just the right balance of casual, masculine, boyish, nostalgic and quirky. The experiences had in his chair was great too. My fade and stars are more than I could have asked for. With family pictures looming in the near future and me one step away from looking like a back woodsman, I was in dire need of a haircut. Being in this neighborhood more and more I keep discovering new things about the city. I have heard good things about this place from my better half and decided since I was going to be in the area I would give them a shot. I showed up about midday and walked right in. I had a little bit of wait, but I did not mind whatsoever. In fact, this is the type of place that you want to wait. The mixture of things in here is anything but ordinary. It's like every piece that's in here was handpicked to spark either a conversation or an imaginary thought. My eyes were drawn straight to the jukebox, it reminded me of all those nights I'd spend out late. After my wait, it was finally my turn in the chair. When I sat down I was asked what I would like and he was on his way. There is something about a barber chair that kind of puts me to sleep. I zone out in them and almost forget what I am there for. The barber attending to my hair was like a magician, he was quiet and meticulous. I did not mind this either. After my hair was done, and I might say it was done quite nicely, he moved onto my beard. A fresh cut and trim is exactly what I needed. When I looked at myself when I was finally done, I looked like me again. I always feel great after getting a haircut and this place was amazing in every way. Pricing is spot on with other barbershops in the city. This was the best haircut I've ever had in Pittsburgh. Just top-notch in every way. Brad, the owner and barber, takes his time to make every client feel like they got a really good, really really good haircut. Which is exactly what I want. I've had a lot of OK haircuts that are done and over with in 5-10 minutes and I'm left feeling like I needed something more, I'm definitely going to be a regular here even for touchups, just for the experience. Probably the best barber in Pittsburgh. There is not much else that needs to be said. The price is cheap. There is a very long wait at times but he is a one man operation and a fine barber at that. At least you know you will always get him. In Atlanta I went to a place with 8 barbers and you still had to wait a long time because you want the good barber that everyone else is waiting on. I haven't purchased any but he seems to have a good selection of products to buy and will help you with that. He takes credit card which is a pleasant surprise. Went here for the first time today. Brad is very friendly, and I'm very happy with my haircut. The atmosphere is casual, but professional, and with good conversation. It seemed a bit out of my way, but really only took 15 minutes to drive there from Oakland, and parking was easy. Other reviews have said the wait time can be long, but now there's a second barber, Tom, and I only waited about a half hour. All in all, it was worth it. read more

After years of visiting the same barber, it was time to move out of town and unfortunately that means finding a new barber. After reading every review on every barbershop in the Pittsburgh area, I finally stumbled across "The humble barber" himself. Walking in, he makes you feel right at home, greets you, takes the time to get to know a little bit about you, and then figures out exactly what you want. Cutting begins and you can just tell he's laser-focused on making sure you walk out with the best cut in Pittsburgh and exactly what you wanted, not just running through the motions. Best barber shop experience of my life. Best value haircut ever. This dude is straight obsessive over the good hair details, left me feeling very well cared for and gave me a hair lesson that by itself would be worth the $15 cost of a scissor-clipper combo. I live in Seattle and came to town for the holidays, so stopping here was essential. Seattle is booming right now and some of the most well known barber shops in the world reside in Seattle. This is the barber shop experience I was looking for. After my barber (who worked out of his house) moved out of state, I've been on the hunt. I see why people wait for him, it's completely worth it. Such a neat vibe going on inside, from music to the atmosphere, definitely a welcomed changed from the salons and other "barber shops" I've bounced around to. And it's so much more than a hair cut, almost like a therapy session, I felt great leaving this place. I recently returned from having a timeout for 3-1/2 years and needed a new barber for a haircut. After doing a little research I settled on this humble place, just the name alone was appealing and I was not disappointed. Brad the owner and his partner Tom are the epitome of humble! And the attention to detail as well as taking the time to do a fine job was first class. The wait was worth it, I ventured in on a Tuesday shortly after opening and it was about a 30 minute wait. Best place to go to no matter who you are. I'm a girl with shoulder length hair but most of my head is an undercut. Just for my undercut, I've struggled with deciding between Supercuts, a hair salon, or barber shops that stare at me when I walk in. I went to a Supercuts earlier today and never will again, as they've messed up my hair for the second time. I came to The Humber Barber in hopes that they could fix supercuts' mistakes and Tom became my lifesaver. I went from being embarrassed to walk in public to feeling 100% again, all thanks to the care and detail that Tom put into my hair. Best haircut I've ever had. Brad's attention to detail is exceptional. I was greeted and entertained by his sweetheart dog, enjoyed great music while I waited, and felt like royalty in the chair. Brad is awesome, a real person. Not a hipster db at all. I think for guys you'd have a hard time finding a good barber who isn't some db that youd be forced to talk to for your haircutting time. I first went here with my brother 2 years ago and back then I was just about to move off to college, and I had just moved to Pittsburgh. Brad, the owner, and head barber was quite interested in my plans, and maintained, interesting conversation throughout my time in his shop, and he delivered a great haircut. Back then it was just him and his dog Kittie, and I had to wait for a while. Fast forward to today, I an home for the summer and decided to go back up to Brighton Heights and go back to the Humble Barber. I am so glad I did, because believe it or not Brad remembered me and my twin brother from this short encounter two years ago. I was entirely impressed, and this is surely indicative of Brad's uncompromising attention to his customers. Not to mention, the haircut was wonderful. This is an amazing barbershop and it has such old, rustic feel to it I love it. I came across this barbershop by looking for good barbershops on yelp and Google because great clips had totally messed my hair up but Brad fixed that. Brad is such an amazing and nice barber and he was so kind today because I wasn't feeling very good today, I was feeling lightheaded and he gave me a water and I felt like I had to throw up and he was so nice about it he didn't kick me out or anything. Brad also is a very funny guy just when you go there you feel like you wanna hug him, like that is how nice he is. His dog is such a nice dog, and I'm saying this even when I was frightened by him but in the end it was fine because it didn't do anything bad to me except jump on the bench I was sitting on and it scratched me a little but it's fine I wasn't bleeding. Overall the barber is great, the shop is great, the only downsides are that it is a long wait for the haircut especially if it's busy and it is a bit dusty around the place so that could use cleaning up but it's fantastic. read more
