Date of visit: December 5, 2025 Selections: 1 Thick Book Experience: Was looking at my long list of places I want to go to and this was just 5 minutes away from where I was at (Home Goods down the street). So I booked it over here to check it out. Books were conveniently located right by the door, so I browsed my way through them before tackling the rest of the store. They had their Christmas items displayed by the door and near the cashier as well and then the rest of the store had mostly furniture and household items with a boutique in the back and other clothes items. Not really my kind of thrift store since it felt like they had really nicer, higher quality items that you wouldn't find at a Goodwill, which isn't a bad thing. I was just surprised that they didn't take cash since I usually encounter cash only places here and there, but not strictly card only. Glad I got to check this off of my list of places to go. read more

There is a wide array of furniture, especially antique (not really MCM - more like the very old antique styles.) It's an organized store, which is really the only plus. There is usually a small selection of St. John knits in the back, but ultimately this store lacks in style and customer service. The blond lady, in particular (didn't catch her name) was quite rude and employees in general do not greet you or really offer any semblance of customer service. There are a multitude of second hand stores in the area with greater selection and much better customer service read more

This is one of my favorite thrifting spots not to mention where I like to donate all of my designer clothes and household items. The lot is located behind the building and it is huge. They have designated spots for anyone dropping off donations and the employees are right there waiting to help you. *They will give you a donation slip which you can use as a write off on your taxes. The inside is very spacious, organized and clean. They have separated each area according to each category, i.e., women's clothing, men's clothing, furniture, jewelry with designer ware and accessories in the back. The Huntington Collection is a charity consignment shop affiliated with Hunting Hospital that sells high-end clothing & furniture to support the Huntington Senior Care Network. They have since moved from the Fair Oaks location over to Colorado Blvd. The entrance is in the back so turn down San Gabriel to enter the parking lot. They are open Monday - Friday from 10 am to 3 pm, which makes it difficult for me to stop by unless I have a day off of work. Luckily, my mom comes here frequently and she usually picks up something cute for me. The place is very well organized, which makes browsing through merchandise easy. They have a nice selection of designer items, and the prices are less than most consignment stores. They also carry non-designer apparel and accessories with prices ranging from $3 - $10. They even have wedding dresses ($25 - $125). There are also antiques, jewelry, glassware, books, etc.... I didn't find anything on my last visit, but I'll be back next time I'm free to see what's new. read more

Racist cashier- beware. Today my friend and I checked out this store. As I was checking out, the cashier was friendly with me. (i'm white) As my friend was checking out, who is Mexican, the cashier had a completely different tone and asked her if she even had a credit or debit card. Why would you ask someone that who's clearly in line to buy something? This cashier had a mid length bob, glasses and white hair. Stay away from this shop. disgusting experience and i'm incredibly disappointed. read more

Thank you to new Yelp friend Te-see B's review for letting me know about this special thrift shop... met her in person the day before and saw her review the next day and bookmarked the place... 5 stars!!!!! Seems totally inappropriate, however, to call it just a thrift shop since it's not like any thrift shops I've been to! Looks more like an expensive antique shop to be honest. Although I didn't find what I was looking for (an antique plant stand and maybe an antique dining set for my old home), I was blown away by the quality of the available merchandise, especially the furniture and housewares. It's very much apparent that all of the pieces on sale were meticulously prepared and cleaned by the hardworking staff. All of the furniture and housewares are excellent condition, not to mention very well priced. Also, I was pleasantly surprised that there are several items on sale for even cheaper! I almost got an antique desk on sale! For those looking for vintage jewelry, accessories, and designer clothes, there's also a wide selection at the Huntington Collection. According to their website, the resale shop is affiliated with the Huntington Hospital and all proceeds benefit Senior Care Network, a nationally recognized program that helps older and disabled adults and families remain healthy and independent. Entrance is at the back of the store, which is also where you will find the huge parking lot. There's no entrance on Colorado Boulevard. Be aware, however, that the store has limited hours. Definitely an upgrade after their old location! Their furniture selection is vast, seems like most people come here for that. Clothing is limited, there is a clothing boutique way in the back(but I find things arent curated for trendier consumers). Their jewelry selection also seems abundant compared to other thrift stores. Don't have a complaint about the customer service, usually friendly and prompt. Parking is plentiful, better to park in front of the store than parallel to San Gabriel blvd, as it's a very narrow exit and semi difficult to make a left if you want to head north. read more

This place is expensive over price for stuff that gets donated they try to get triple the value of the items they sell plus some of the volunteer get some good stuff almost free is a shame on those people exploiting the donated stuff the old location was better and cheaper that suck read more

The crème de la crème of Pasadena thrift shops: until their recent move, had the largest selection of upscale furniture. Now more focused on china, crystal and--especially-- high-quality clothing labels, including a designer boutique of St. John, formal & cocktail wear. Also a lot of men's business and formal wear. Among the bargains are a $4 shoe rack where I've found Cole Hahn, a purse bin and ties. Due to space limits, they're picky about accepting donations. But still great buys to be had. read more

Went for the first (and last time). They have old furniture, HUGE old furniture, like stuff from the 1920s-1940s and it's all priced from $195-$895. It's gigantic stuff, like you'll need a mini UHaul to take it out. And it's in really bad condition -- a lot of pieces were visibly broken and torn and falling apart and scratched. For $895 you can go buy a whole bedroom set, new. The 'designer' section is in the back and has a few nicer items, from amazing designers like Kors and Tory Birch lol. The parking was great (located behind the back, off San Gabriel Blvd.). There are way better places then this, like the Salvation Army store. read more

Great thrift store! Parking lot on site. There are two separate stores, but owned by the same business. Proceeds goes towards Senior Care Network,a nationally recognized not-for-profit program helping older adults and adults with disabilities and their families to remain healthy and independent. The main store has clothes, china, jewelry and some books all nicely displayed. The Annex has a lot of furniture, books and household items . As of now the restrooms are closed to the public. Entrance to their parking lot is from Filmore Street ( off Fair Oaks. ) I highly recommend this thrift store for great finds! read more

I stopped at the resale shop to donate several boxes of good quality clothing and shoes. This was just before the Eaton Fires in 2025. A worker came over the car and peered inside one of the boxes before picking it up. ( actually walked over to where he was scrolling his cell phone and asked for his help, since previously I had to hand carry boxes into the shop myself. ) He told me that the clothes, shoes would not be accepted..:."Why?" I asked.... He said they looked like the wouldn't be sold and they would just throw them away. I was shocked. There were nearly new boots and new shoes. Other boxes had excellent clothes. My husband had thrown a felt hat on top which the attendant thought shabby? I told him to please go away. I told him that I obviously lived in a zip code that " La Collectione " deemed subpar. There is something very wrong with this organization. We do not give unwearable, damaged clothing. In fact, I saved my best things for them. But you see.... The Eaton Fires happened and we could gratefully contribute to where there was real need and appreciation. Having loved shopping on Fair Oaks, I see a true change in the management and way interaction with the community occurs. read more

I really miss the Huntington Collection Annex - the large warehouse style building of their last location! It had a lot more furniture and was much more laid back and casual atmosphere. Every time I went there was so much to look at, and really great prices. Most of my house is furnished from there! The new location is okay - it is basically the same as front, smaller building of the old location - not much furniture, higher prices, and the older women working there are not very friendly. Additionally sometimes there isn't anyone to help you load the pieces into your car, which is frustrating. I still go here because. well, beggars can't be choosers (if anyone knows of another large furniture thrift store with good prices in the Pasadena area, let me know!), but it isn't nearly as fun and I don't find much. I am glad they didn't completely close down though. read more

The guy at the Annex who seems to be in charge , probably the cashier or floor manager, is extremely rude. I've hear his name is Tony and is extremely rude, and has no manners or people skills!! I wanted to buy a table on the Annex on Thursday's sale,and he said defiantly that he was planning to buy it first thing on Thursday's sale day and sell it on Craigslist for three times as much. I love this place! It's soooo Pasadena! Old Pasadena, classic, understated, with an emphasis on quality . If you like that tradition it's worth popping in for a browse. I'd been on the hunt for padding hangers. Of course they had them and they looked like they were never used. The satin ones with a bow prevent blouses and dresses from getting the hanger bump on the shoulders. There were a few pieces of furniture that caught my eye. The Pasadena ladies provided a tape measure so I could get the dimensions. And in a core value of philanthropy, the proceeds go to benefit the hospital. Guilt free shopping! read more

Thrift store kings and queens, put this place on your list! It's hit-and-miss, as all thrift stores are, but the quality is generally a cut above. Located across from Huntington Hospital (where I believe the proceeds go), many wealthy folks in Pasadena pass away and simply have their furnishings (and clothes closets) sent directly to the Huntington Collection. There are two buildings: First, the huge boutique has the 'fancier' items, including the better furniture, artwork, jewelry and clothing. A whole section just for wedding dresses. Definitely not thrift store pricing but I have struck gold here once or twice. Step outside and to the right for better bargains. The even-more-huge Annex next store has tons of furniture, rugs, books, and other stuff. There are some real finds in the furniture department. Friendly gents will help load your car and they do deliver (fees for that, unknown). May the odds be ever in your favor. read more

I had a relative pass away and took many boxes of expensive shoes and clothes there. I was often totally ignored and had to scramble to bring in the items. Once, I put a black plastic bag on the floor and went to find someone to tell them. I was approached by a man "working" there and rudely asked "what was in the bag". I was shocked by his tone of voice. I am looking at other thrift stores to give our good items to. Perhaps too many people are bringing things to this store. They don't seem to have time to really make one feel good about donations. Sorry, Huntington. read more

Amazing brand name finds in great and even pristine condition. I came in one day and found a great Banana republic sweater! They have amazing finds and even carry a whole section of vintage wedding dresses! I was amazed and would've bought one but none came in my size! Like any thrift store, the stuff you find can be hit or miss, and it's also about timing. I had heard about this place for years and finally got around to going on one of their sale days. They hold a sale once a month and because I went on a sale day, I wasn't expecting much. I expected it to be totally picked through, but I was pleasantly surprised. If you've slogged through other thrift stores, for a sale day, this was better organized and I found some great furniture pieces. Sure, the prices are higher than I would like to pay, but the quality of the furniture was also much better than most. I included a photo of a beautiful Chinese piece we found there. It was in great condition and reasonably well priced considering that era of furniture making when there was no metal work used, not even in the hinges of the doors. I definitely wondered who decided the prices on some items that seemed extremely overpriced, but again, all things considered, for furniture, it was worth heading over there just to see what they had. read more

Still just three stars. Had the chance to revisit since I was in the area for work -- apparel selection completely geared toward an older crowd (at least their women's selections). You would be hardpressed to find anything on-trend at this store; I would say most clothing items are about 40+yrs off-trend. Example brands that I saw on this latest trip: coldwater creek, j jill, st johns bay,.. you get the idea. I did find a brand-new talbots skirt for work tho. Book selection not that great. They have a fair amount of housewares but theyre borderline antiques. Prices still above what I'd expect to pay at a thrift store (anything more than $1 for a paperback book is a rip-off). read more

My review is regarding their lack of customer service. I called twice,leaving a detailed message about an item that I wanted an appraisal on, and never got a callback. The item should have been just what they sell in the store, but even if they weren't interested,it's good business, and just courteous to all back. They might have made a hefty commission on my item, but now I'll find someplace else to take it. read more

Not sure why people are so down on this place. Wanted to update my review to say my husband and I have found many gorgeous pieces of furniture at this place, including a 19th century French cabinet with hand painted Sevres porcelain, amazing antique rugs, a gorgeous Victorian floor mirror, dishes, rugs etc. The items are high end and are much lower in price then you would find at any local antique store and the great thing is it goes all to help seniors. The customer service is great, especially in the Annex, this is a great place to come if you are into antiques but want to find a bargain on a high end piece. read more

I received a prior approval a couple of months from Babes Steward for my Ethan Allen triple dresser beveled mirror and my hexagon beveled glass table through pictures I sent by e-mail and over the phone. They had sold my Ethan Allen hutch a few years back and never had a problem. But when I brought my 2 Ethan Allen in 2 days ago, Babes refused to taking them going back on her word and said I could donate the items. Most of the items at the Huntington collection did not qualify for the $250 minimum that Babe's required like different pieces of china, glassware, $5.00 pillows and other pieces that weren't worth $250. Babes said she had too many coffee tables, but I only noticed one on the floor in their small warehouse, and another one which was only about 1 foot square and I know that wasn't worth $250. My solid cherry wood hexagon table had a 1" beveled thick glass table top that was 3 feet wide. Babes suggested I donate it. Hmmm. Funny that I can donate them to Huntington Collections, yet she goes back on her word to sell them when I was completely up front of what I was selling with pictures, and my furniture was in better condition than a lot of items in their warehouse. I told her I no longer have a place to store those items, as my storage facility was no longer available to take my furniture back. I have requested in a letter this week to her to sell my furniture for whatever she can. I paid $500 for each of these items. Huntington Collection takes 40% of selling your items. Ouch! I would NOT recommend Huntington Collection in Pasadena, CA to anyone. read more

Really loved this place! The only reason I'd give it a 4 is because they had relatively no selection/range for men's clothing- I was able to get two beautiful pieces. They're a bit pricy but if you're looking for beautiful curated vintage I totally recommend. read more

I just want to say that the Huntington Collection is a great place for luxury finds. Need to go check out the Annex where they sell al the old furniture. Every last Thursday, thy stay open until 6pm....and every last Sat of the month, they're open to sell all the furniture in the annex 50% off, which is a steal. Probably the most expensive thrift store I ever set foot in. Ok, someone should re-categorize this store as a boutique. Yes, everything is secondhand, but they're all in extremely great condition and there are some crazy high-end brand names to be found. Venturing in looking for some chairs to furnish my new place, all I found were furniture priced well over $300 and a used Hermes scarf for $350. Definitely not what I expected, but it was a fun experience! The ladies working were very friendly and greeted every customer and the whole place was impeccably clean! read more
