Both my kids attended Pre-K at Our Redeemer and there's no other…read moreplace I'd rather have them spend 2 early years of their lives.  It was recommended by a friend and when I walked in the large playground area during the tour I said to myself, "Oh yeah, this is IT!" - it instantly gave quintessential sweet preschool vibes, with each of the classrooms opening up to the main play area, colored designated doors, with windows adorned with kid's colorful and imaginative artwork.  The playground boasted lots of varying actvities and manipulatives to attract and stimulate a wide array of interests (wooden logs, sand box, vegetable garden, music area, mud kitchen, tricycle/scooter track, a large play set and more!)  The staff is as kind, gentle, welcoming and understanding as can be - Miss Jackie welcomes everyone from the front office with a smile (it's like she's never had a bad day!) and is the can-do woman who wears many hats, the Director, Peggy Schreiber, is a lovely and caring soul who handles everything with grace and ease, Mrs. Flint is the bright and smiley face upon drop-off and pick-up everyday, who is a breeze to chat with (you can tell she takes genuine interest in our lives). The teachers are all great - my kids had Mrs. Flores who is just a dream in every single way. Mrs Varela and Mrs. Washington were both amazing as well! I can't say enough great things about this preschool (I can't believe there even have one negative review) - They'll always hold a very special place in our hearts.

I want to feel that they care for my child. If I'm treated that way, how is my child being treated. I approached the director regarding the bathroom situation and she said unless they won the lotto the children will have to use the same bathroom. But there will always be supervision. REALLY?!?! Smh!!!!! What other school allows this?!?!?

She has encouraged our children's interests and provided the best loving care I could have ever hoped for. I'm extremely nervous about after school care next year for our youngest (moving to kindergarten) because I can't imagine someone as enthusiastic & caring as Kim. They are so different from other local pre-schools. They really get the children thinking early on. They put on plays, go on educational field trips and even have their own amazing art teacher who allows the children to just create. I really enjoyed working in the class. I got to know the other students well too. I was able to bring share some of my own ideas too which was fun. When my boys reached kindergarten they were so prepared for it. And I have to say the La Famiglia alumi I am still in touch with (about 10) are all thriving in school and are some of the most confident children in their classes. I couldn't recommend this school more highly. La Famiglia is aptly named. It really does feel like a family.

Both my children thrived in this preschool, and it's honestly been so helpful for me as a parent. We have met dear friends and really felt like we have been part of a community. I have also learned so much about early childhood development and been given so many tools that have helped me grow into my role as a mom. I love that the curriculum is play based and has a strong focus on social emotional development. It's also a very open minded, supportive and accepting community, which was very important to me when I was initially looking into schools. The teachers have been absolutely stellar, I learn so much from watching them and the way they lovingly and respectfully interact with each child. Parent involvement is essential in a co-op environment and you (or in some cases with full time working parents, another family member such as a grandparent, etc.) work in the school for several days through each month, which was a good fit for our family (I loved being there and wanted to be part of my kiddos early school experience) but it's of course not right for everyone's situation. That said, this program is wonderful for children with separation anxiety, as parents can stay as needed as their child transitions. (It's also great for families struggling with potty training, as it's not a requirement for enrollment.) This next year will be our 6th and final year, as our youngest will be graduating. I'll miss it tremendously, and I know my family (both my kiddos and I) will fondly carry the beautiful memories we made here for the rest of our lives.
