She has encouraged our children's interests and provided the best loving care I could have ever hoped for. I'm extremely nervous about after school care next year for our youngest (moving to kindergarten) because I can't imagine someone as enthusiastic & caring as Kim. As an aside, our youngest has Down syndrome & Kim treats her just as she would the other kids while proving all the support she needs.

Both my kids attended Pre-K at Our Redeemer and there's no other…read moreplace I'd rather have them spend 2 early years of their lives.  It was recommended by a friend and when I walked in the large playground area during the tour I said to myself, "Oh yeah, this is IT!" - it instantly gave quintessential sweet preschool vibes, with each of the classrooms opening up to the main play area, colored designated doors, with windows adorned with kid's colorful and imaginative artwork.  The playground boasted lots of varying actvities and manipulatives to attract and stimulate a wide array of interests (wooden logs, sand box, vegetable garden, music area, mud kitchen, tricycle/scooter track, a large play set and more!)  The staff is as kind, gentle, welcoming and understanding as can be - Miss Jackie welcomes everyone from the front office with a smile (it's like she's never had a bad day!) and is the can-do woman who wears many hats, the Director, Peggy Schreiber, is a lovely and caring soul who handles everything with grace and ease, Mrs. Flint is the bright and smiley face upon drop-off and pick-up everyday, who is a breeze to chat with (you can tell she takes genuine interest in our lives). The teachers are all great - my kids had Mrs. Flores who is just a dream in every single way. Mrs Varela and Mrs. Washington were both amazing as well! I can't say enough great things about this preschool (I can't believe there even have one negative review) - They'll always hold a very special place in our hearts.

I want to feel that they care for my child. If I'm treated that way, how is my child being treated. The facility is always clean, staff is extremely professional and I am amazed at how advanced academically, socially, and emotionally my grandchildren became during their time there. They provide nutritional breakfast, lunch and snack and you are able to follow what the kids eat each week by their visibly posted food menus. My grandchildren were picky eaters so this was very important to us. I recommend this place to everybody. They also teach english AND spanish! Truly amazing work. Thank you CRU. We hope that they bring the after-school program back for older school-aged children in the near future so that our grandkids can remain apart of this wonderful program.

Since our initial tour visit when we were expecting, we saw so many kids interacting with their teachers as they were leaving for the day with so much love and enthusiasm. From the Infant A room; Ms. Sheryl, Ms. Megan and Ms. Davina all gave our son such a great environment to develop his initial skills, independent play time, group play and developed friendships with some of the other kids. They were all so mindful of his individual likes and difficulties, we knew we could always ask questions and get great feedback on how to better align our home activities with skills in the classroom. Through the Infant B room, Ms. Sara was a huge help to get him through his milestones until he was ready to move on to the Toddler room. I love seeing all the teachers for the little ones work well together and shift between rooms depending on where they needed more coverage. We understand this age is difficult and would regularly see Ms Alice or Ms Shawn jump in where needed and were always so passionate about the kids and keeping everyone safe. Now that he is in the Toddler room, we have seen a huge leap in his sign language skills, motor skills, object identification and eating abilities....even learning how to throw away his plate and cleaning up after himself. A huge shout out to Ms Cheryl in this class, she welcomes him every morning with such a huge smile, greeting and excitement for the day. Even when he is sad to see Mom and Dad leave, she's quick to get him smiling and sometimes even sends pictures showing what a happy boy he is shortly after. Each of the teachers in this room have been amazing and regularly see pictures of them playing with the kids and great interactions with them all when we pick him up early, Ms. Frida, Ms. Kaileia and Ms. Davina are all fantastic. I'm sure there are other teachers that have helped our son along the way but wanted to give a big shout out especially to these staff members that we've interacted with regularly. The center also coordinates fun activities for parents to join and play with their kids - a summer foam party, trunk or treat, ice cream party and valentine's day parties. Of course the kids have fun classroom events throughout the year and celebrate birthdays and holidays together. All parents get nervous dropping off their kids to a daycare but we have always gotten so much relief knowing he is in great hands with caring teachers and always comes home happy with new skills learned everyday. We highly recommend KinderCare Ventura to all fellow parents and even his grandparents have been really happy with the care and learning he receives at this center.

Most of the teachers looked exhausted and the student to teacher ratio was laughable at how many kids they stuck with those teachers. For any children that have any disabilities I highly suggest looking elsewhere. The lead kept making excuses to step away to go sneak into her bosses office to gossip/decide if my child was something they wanted to take on and deal with. It left me angry for my little one and disgusted that these are the people parents are choosing to leave their children with, the good lord only knows what happens when no one is around. Also the play area in the back is a joke. Childcare is super expensive no matter where you choose to enroll. But the playground leaves more to be desired and is old and makes you wonder why would I pay so much to invest in my kiddo coming here when they obviously aren't investing the money back into the kids. Long story short if I could give them 0 stars I would, and I implore any parent thinking of sending their child here; disabilities or otherwise to keep your options open. There are tons of great schools in the area, and this is the honest review more people need to know about. Not the fake 4/5 star service reviews that clearly were not demonstrated on this day. My children bonded with each teacher, grew socially and academically, and thrived here. The teachers update lesson plans and provide notices through google classroom. Some teachers are more on top of it than others, but they all give out their cell #s and are reachable at any time which I appreciated. They'll text photos during events or special activities. While some drop-offs were hard, especially in the beginning or during a transition period, ultimately my kids never fought me on attending school and were always happy when they came home.

Also, while there were many teachers that we experienced in the 6 years of time we were there we had so many great influences. Our children had the benefit to be in almost all the classrooms and they loved them all! Moreover they prepare your kiddo for Kindergarten. Our son came in reading ahead of grade level and our daughter, who struggled with reading, received lots of help from the TK teacher who advocated for us to look into further resources to help. Glad we listened because now she is reading at grade level. Lastly, you feel like family here. I am so happy for the amazing lifelong friendships that we have made with so many of the staff. They really love our kids and we miss them all and love when we run into them and get to catch up. They remember all our kids. Overall, great school and great program. The school is older, and the building is outdated but although there are likely better facilities the place has an amazing program that prepares them for school. Great people and amazing playground!!!

I have loved the way they've prepared my kids for the next level class and eventually kindergarten. I love the balance of being involved in my children's education without the commitment of homeschooling that I cannot do at this time. Both my children thrived in this preschool, and it's honestly been so helpful for me as a parent. We have met dear friends and really felt like we have been part of a community. I have also learned so much about early childhood development and been given so many tools that have helped me grow into my role as a mom. I love that the curriculum is play based and has a strong focus on social emotional development. It's also a very open minded, supportive and accepting community, which was very important to me when I was initially looking into schools. The teachers have been absolutely stellar, I learn so much from watching them and the way they lovingly and respectfully interact with each child. Parent involvement is essential in a co-op environment and you (or in some cases with full time working parents, another family member such as a grandparent, etc.) work in the school for several days through each month, which was a good fit for our family (I loved being there and wanted to be part of my kiddos early school experience) but it's of course not right for everyone's situation. That said, this program is wonderful for children with separation anxiety, as parents can stay as needed as their child transitions. (It's also great for families struggling with potty training, as it's not a requirement for enrollment.) This next year will be our 6th and final year, as our youngest will be graduating. I'll miss it tremendously, and I know my family (both my kiddos and I) will fondly carry the beautiful memories we made here for the rest of our lives.
