have yet to be able to get an appointment. first time they were 6 cuts behind and we had to leave. second time they cancelled my appointment. so maybe a good option if you don't actually need a haircut or you can plan ahead and start scheduling 3 weeks before you need one- because sometimes the third time is the charm. each time my appointment has been booked with Mia, so maybe if you book, select a different individual. I definitely have had friends who have had a great experience. So I'd say, if you give it a shot, try a different human. read more

This was my first time visiting Country Club. The gentleman who cut my hair was not one of the guys raved about in other reviews. I walked out with an adequate cut, but definitely not as good as I've been getting at my usual place. He was a nice enough dude, and he took his time. Just saying I've had better. The shop is pretty small. I'm not sure if their chairs don't swivel, but I was facing away from the mirror the whole time. That was a first, and it was a little unnerving to not be able to see what was going on. It also felt like I was on display for the waiters, though I kinda was by default since there was only one barber at the time. There are drinks available (including adult beverages), but I did not partake. $18 a pop, and it looks like they do accept credit cards. A little disappointing for a first impression. I can't recommend this place enough! The staff are all friendly and make you feel at home. They care more about getting the hair cut you want them making money off you. They do a great quality job and at an extremely reasonable price. I go no where else and never will go to another place. read more

Coming from Downtown Los Angeles I would only let one barber touch my hair. When I moved down to the Fallbrook area I was very hesitate to let anyone cut my hair but couldn't make the drive up to LA every other week just for a haircut. Since then I have let Chad and anyone else that works at the Country Club Barbershop give me a trim. If someone works there, they are talented and are trustworthy. They LISTEN to what you want, always give the best cuts, and really keep the culture of the old school barbershops. They also have music/tv playing and free refreshments while you wait. I suggest you make an appointment, they keep busy fixing the other barber's haircuts in the area. read more

$20 is pretty steep for a basic guys hair cut (military buzz cut) and is honestly the only reason I'm not giving them a third star, the price does not include a shampoo. The place has a pretty cool look, like sons of anarchy meets tattoo shop, though doesn't seem to be kept up (chairs fall over when you sit in them and holes in the wall) and wasn't welcoming (might have been because it was my first time there or because it was near the end of the day). The young lady I had cut my hair did an ok job and was nice but not friendly or engaged, she seem preoccupied in speaking with her friends there and going home. I've heard Chad does a better job. Tried this place based on my outstanding experiences with its sister shop in Escondido. Asked for a medium-low fade and ended up with a high fade with zero blend in it. Think Kim Jong Un's haircut and that is about how blended the cut was. Noticed it was not going well as I got glances of it in the mirror and asked the barber to blend a little more, which he willingly obliged, but it didn't help. That was when I knew it was time to give it up and resolved to get it fixed somewhere else rather than make an issue of it. Ended up getting it fixed down the road at Sunset Barber Shop. While getting it fixed, it became even more clear how bad the cut I received at Country Club was, as the lengths of my hair at the base of the "fade" varied as much as half an inch at different points along the same plane, there was no graduation in length from the sides to the top of my head, and no consistency in length to the hair on top of my head. Very disappointing. On the positive, my barber at Country Club and the others were very pleasant and professional. It's just too bad that I couldn't get the quality haircut I expected. I don't think this is reflective of the shop and it is definitely not reflective of the chain, but it was bad enough that it warrants the review. read more

Best barbershop in Fallbrook hands down. I cant recommend it enough! Not only is it a great place to get a gentlemen's haircut, it has a neat atmosphere and wonderful sense of community. Had Dave cut my hair. At first I was a little concerned on whether he'd be able to cut it due to his short arms and being 5'2". He ended up rocking it! Dude has an elevated skillset that's nice to find. Too bad the chairs aren't lower. I'll definitely be back for Dave's doo....with a soap box....poor lil guy. read more

I took my almost 8 month old son in for his first haircut today. Chad was super patient and kind with my little squirmer and he gave him a great haircut too! He set him up in a cute little red car and put on Veggie Tales. He took his time and showed my son all of the different tools he was using; he even let him touch them so he could see they weren't scary. He took little breaks when my son needed them and finished the haircut with my son sitting on my lap. My little babe was a challenge, but Chad handled him great!
