My boys had been going to the same person for haircuts since their very first cuts, so when she moved away I wasn't just looking for someone who could cut hair. I wanted a shop that understood their mixed curly hair, but I also wanted the experience to still be something they enjoyed. Haircuts have always been one of those little things the boys and I do together, and I didn't want it to suddenly feel like a chore. Because our schedule is usually packed, the first time we went to Catrins we took a chance and booked three different barbers at the same time. Somehow we went 3-for-3. Lance, Rebekah and Cass have all been awesome. They take the time to listen to what we want, they're great with my boys, and they've created a shop where everyone feels part of the conversation. A lot of times it turns into one big conversation across the whole shop instead of three separate haircuts, and my kids dig it. It's relaxed, funny, welcoming, and still easy to get in and out without turning a haircut into a two-hour event. Most importantly, they're really good at what they do. They've learned my boys' hair and consistently get their cuts right. I even brought Grandpa in when he was visiting and he walked out completely happy too, so apparently they've got every generation covered. Great barbers, great culture, and exactly the kind of place I was hoping to find.

I've had very long hair the past 7 years and I decided it was time to finally chop it off. I knew there was only one place I would go and one person I trusted...that was Lance. I sent him a couple ideas of what I wanted and he said no problem. Now usually with a decision like this one might get a little nervous day of, well the moment I walked in I was greeted by all the barbers and even some of the clients. He took amazing care of me and when he finally said are you ready to check it out, he turned me around to the mirror and man was I HAPPY with what he did.
