According to hospital protocol and the arrangement agreed upon by the surgical team, no part of the procedure was to begin unless all required personnel were present. Despite this requirement, the hospital proceeded with full preoperative preparation. I completed blood work, received IV fluids and antibiotics, was transported to the operating room, shaved, marked at the surgical site, and sedated. At that point, I was fully unconscious and unable to provide consent or make decisions. While I was under sedation, Dr. Lemus left the hospital without notification or justification. Dr Farrukh self admitting in a frustrated condition spoke to Me about this in passing. When contacted, he refused to return, leaving the required surgical team incomplete. As a result, the surgery was not performed. Upon awakening, I was given inconsistent and limited information. My subsequent requests for clarification and for copies of my medical records were met with resistance, prompting concerns about transparency and potential record concealment. I documented my interactions with staff to preserve evidence. On October 3, 2025, Dr. Farrukh called to confirm the following: Dr. Lemus left the hospital without notification or justification. My subsequent requests for clarification and for copies of my medical records were met with resistance, prompting concerns about transparency and potential record concealment. I documented my interactions with staff to preserve evidence. On October 3, 2025, Dr. Farrukh called to confirm the following: Dr. Lemus left the hospital prior to the surgery. He refused to return when contacted by staff. The hospital's director and scheduling manager were terminated as a result of the incident according to Dr Farrukh's statements. Legal Concerns Identified Based on these facts, the following issues appear to be present: Breach of contract/procedural agreement among the surgical team Patient abandonment by the secondary surgeon Patient battery, as sedation and invasive preoperative steps were performed without the full surgical team present Gross negligence and professional malpractice Institutional liability for failure to follow required surgical protocols Potential punitive damages, due to actions taken while I was unconscious and unable to protect my own interests Current Status The surgery was not completed, leaving the underlying medical condition untreated. I must now obtain a new surgeon. I am seeking legal representation to pursue appropriate claims.

After a sudden sciatica attack, four years after having two lower disectomies within a week of each other from a doctor who no longer practices, I had been to a prominent group in Santa Clarita only to be treated like I was making up my pain and never even got to see the doctor! I called Dr. Payman's office and was not put on hold but greeted by a truly caring and knowledgeable staff. (I did google him and watched a few of his contributing segments on different TV channels). Needless to say, I was impressed and was still not sure that he was all that the ad and reviews said he was. I had a few different offices to choose from and since I had been in pain for a month already, what was another week? As busy as this doctor is, you would never feel like that when he is talking to you. He is thorough and gives you 100% attention. He is definitely a cutting edge doctor. He gave me pros and cons of doing another surgery and sent me to his sports medicine office where I was given massage, acupuncture and also some chiropractic therapy. It was a slow heal but, I have to say after being told i would need another surgery by two groups, I am up and around thanks to Doctor Payman. His staff under Alysia is also very professional and gets your insurance issues taken care of super fast! My husband has been in pain for years having been to a very large group who had no idea what they were doing, I made him an appointment. He went in with numbness and insatiable pain in his lower back. Turns out he needed his upper and neck fixed more than the lower. He needed a neck fusion and had three discs fused and it seems to have been a success.

Nice doctor and staff, but the Lumbar surgery he performed on me was a failure. I live with more…read morepain after the surgery then before.

After being there for four hours I'd had enough and I walked out. at last they called me on my way home told me to come back and pick up my paperwork instructions on it I got back there with the paperwork with no instructions on it so Laura the director there really needs to look at what she's got going I don't like it. She constantly yelled at the other nurses and blamed them for things I did. Plus i had to go back a third time when they told me so I was supposed to be wearing a surgery brace that they had given me but hadn't given me. This took from 5:30am to 4pm.
