I was in Ireland for a work-trip, and one of the evenings we got dinner and show tickets for the Irish House Party. I can't speak to how much the food or show costs because it was covered by the work trip, but I can say I had a great time. The food was pretty good, I had a Beef & Guinness Stew which was pretty tasty. When we were there it was pretty packed, so the service was a little slow with some new employees in training. The dinner show was in a downstairs space and bar, the band was very good playing a wide range of traditional and contemporary Irish songs. They were funny too. For tourists, I'd recommend this place.

Irish House Party is an entertainment venue with dinner as an extra feature. Since we were part of a bus tour, we had a set menu to choose from. An appetizer, entree and dessert. Food was what you'd expect from a group presentation. The entertainment, however, was delightful. We had a trio of gentlemen who played a guitar, fiddle and a flute. Also included was another gentleman who danced traditional ceilidh. It was a great way to end our day in Dublin. Parking is on street. Staff were very good to the patrons fetching food and taking plates away. Fun place to visit.

The staff were wonderful, the food was decent, the show was amazing! Definitely recommend booking the show if you are looking for traditional Irish music and dancing. The hosts are great story tellers which keep you engaged the entire time. You don't want to miss it!

This place is awesome!!! Highly recommend. The food wasn't anything over the moon, but totally worth it to get a taste of the local flavor and for the evening's entertainment. The service was great and there's a quaint bar downstairs as well that's enjoyable for a pre or post dinner drink. I'd highly recommend carving out time for that. Very skilled dancers and musicians, and engaging too! They told the history behind the songs and the dances they performed. They encouraged the crowd to join along in singing with them. You've got to check this place out - it was a highlight of our Ireland trip and I'll be back again if I'm ever in Dublin!

Review Highlights - The Irish House Party

Entertainment was great - we saw incredibly talented musicians, one of which was an Irish dancer, who seemed equally talented in that pursuit.

This warm and cosy place is ideal for either vibrant gigs or low key intimate performances. The Bar in partnership with Donkey Jaw Productions, is bringing the best Bands from Dublin and all around Ireland on Sundays, starting at 8pm. A friend of mine recommended this venue to me, and after checking it out on Facebook I learned that is the newest Music Venue in Town. So if you love live music from Soul, Funk to Blues or Latin, you just have to keep an eye on their facebook page to find out what is going on every Sunday Night...

But the space had since closed down, which was a shame. Now reopened since 2013 as a Jazz music venue, we paid 8 EUR after making the descent and entered a placer cooler than a hipsters bicycle. The bar and initial lounge was laid out well, which some funky décor and candles on tables. Next was the stage area, which was down a few steps, where there are more tables adorned with candles. Keep going to the left you are met with The Sitting Room, an area which is just that, a comfy sitting room. Back at the bar we spy craft beers - hurrah! I first go for a brewdog Punk IPA, but then switch to their 5am Saint. Both lovely beers. Due to the fabulous recent weather, the audience was slow to fill and as a result the music started a lot later than envisaged by the promoters. But when it did get started, my gosh was it a cracking set. The band was called Mages Takotak, French I believe. They were excellent. I'm no jazz expert, but we all really enjoyed the show. Alas by the time the second band had started, I had to go... it was a school night after all and as much as I would have loved to have stayed, I just couldn't Highly recommended and I definitely will be back.
