My 16 yr old had picked out 3 Nike items…read moreand went to the dressing room to quickly try on (she's wearing pull in shorts, loose cropped tank and slip on birks) a sweatshirt, baggy sweatpants and a tank top. Attendant came over and said "the manager said I can't let you in since it is 4 mins to close". I said it's 3 items and she can be quick. I asked to see the manager because I didn't really think a manager would do that. I turn around to another girl who greeted us with much aggression immediately and said the manager is coming but will say the same thing. I explained that she would be quick and we live out of town and really don't want to buy them if we can't try them on. She said "we'd rather you didn't buy them than try them on". I looked at my daughter who was in shock and asked her if she wanted to buy without trying since it was her money and she set them down. The girl proceeded to yell in a rude manner as we walked out. I will NEVER go back there. Scheel's will have my business from now on and I know that it truly doesn't matter to the employees at Dicks (this was clear as glass after tonight) but in case someone values even the basic in customer service, I'm sharing this review. I am still just shocked by all of this!!

No Grumpy Old Men found here just friendly service and a lot of bait for your buck! The young man behind the counter always greets us with a smile, and gave helpful recommendations on what bait to use depending on what we were fishing after that day. I bought the usual minnows and took the recommended night crawlers hoping to catch CatfishHunter! I didn't catch him (story of my life) but ended up reeling in a big one, a nice looking Northern Pike! I know pics or it didn't happen, guess I'll have to post it! The shop also has some snacks and soda including locally made jerky, the fish are not the only ones who need to eat! If that's not enough right next door is Emma's Diner, I was told the locals are hooked on the sandwiches so definitely need to catch one of those next time I'm in town. Reuben talked us through bows, targets, arrows and their shooting range room. You can shoot targets for two hours for $12, if you also need to include bow rental, the two hour price is $25. We thought two hours was a bit much and he even said the kids get pretty tired before two hours.... Surprisingly he said even my younger nephews would also be able to rent the target range! Rueben also talked us through their selection of targets. Who knew there were so many options? Archery Country was a great find. We will definitely be back once we find out more what he's looking for and likely to bring him to shoot in the target room. Not that we looked at them but I was surprised to see there were a few fat bikes on display when you came in the door. A lot of great inventory to peruse and accessories. I received an automated email the day before our excursion saying that our guide would reach out later that day to confirm meeting time and which landing to meet our guide. I waited patiently and did not hear anything from our guide. I sent him an email to confirm things and received a short "sorry I am fishing a national walleye tour tomorrow" reply. No apology for confusion, no effort to fix his scheduling error, nothing. I received another automated email the day after our scheduled excursion thanking me for business and asking for a review. I have held off on leaving a review to allow time for Mike to make things right BUT my husband and I have been asking for a refund for about 2.5 months now and these efforts have not been successful. We have been calling and emailing and get VERY little to no communication in return. This is unprofessional and frustrating but worst of all is the disappointment my 10 year old had to experience. 100% do not recommend working with this business.
