About 6 months before we actually decided to start our house hunt, we scheduled a meeting with Sue to figure out what type of loan and how much of a loan we could apply for. Sue was very helpful and explained in detail each item on the itemized fee worksheet. After our meeting, Sue did not pressure us into applying for a loan early since she knew we weren't ready to begin our house hunt just yet. When the time had finally come, we came back to work with Sue. She helped all the way through the loan application process, updating us each step of the way. It was like a walk in the park for us (okay, maybe a little bit harder). My point is, Sue did a great job in communicating and ensuring that we felt comfortable throughout the process. She responded to phone calls, texts, and emails within a couple of hours to a day at most. It was comforting to know that she was so accessible and willing to help. There's a rep at a kiosk as soon as you come in the door ready to assist you with getting signed in to speak with the financial services representatives. There are only 3 bank tellers but the lines move quickly. There are two walk-up atms outside. The parking lot is small and easily gets congested. This is a smaller branch so seating inside is limited. I would suggest only brining people in that need to be present.

BEWARE - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY…read more This was supposed to be a simple 45-day cash out refinance. It turned into a 106-day nightmare filled with constant errors, missed deadlines, and almost no communication. We only stayed in the deal because our loan officer, Jon, was helpful but the rest of the company was completely disorganized. The loan processor Nick repeatedly made mistakes, and we were given closing dates over and over that never happened. At closing, several debt payoff checks issued by Haven Home Equity were incorrect and did not align with the official payoff statements we had already provided. We informed our loan officer that some of the accounts were already closed and that we intended to negotiate those balances ourselves. He advised us to handle the negotiations directly, pay the accounts ourselves, and then submit updated payoff statements along with the unused checks. We were told that once the accounts were verified as paid, corrected checks would be reissued to us immediately. We did exactly what we were told. Haven Home Equity now owes us approximately $29,000--money that is in our mortgage and accruing interest over 30 years that we never received. This has delayed our full home renovation and forced us to hire an attorney. The only response we've gotten is from our loan officer saying "he hasn't heard back from anyone." This level of incompetence and lack of accountability is unacceptable. We started this in November and it is end of April and we are still dealing with this. There are MANY companies out there who provide quality service . Do yourself a favor and find another company to do business with. Proceed with extreme caution.
