Sue was very helpful and explained in detail each item on the itemized fee worksheet. After our meeting, Sue did not pressure us into applying for a loan early since she knew we weren't ready to begin our house hunt just yet. When the time had finally come, we came back to work with Sue. She helped all the way through the loan application process, updating us each step of the way. It was like a walk in the park for us (okay, maybe a little bit harder). My point is, Sue did a great job in communicating and ensuring that we felt comfortable throughout the process. There's a rep at a kiosk as soon as you come in the door ready to assist you with getting signed in to speak with the financial services representatives. There are only 3 bank tellers but the lines move quickly. There are two walk-up atms outside. The parking lot is small and easily gets congested. This is a smaller branch so seating inside is limited. I would suggest only brining people in that need to be present.

Demand for Resolution…read more Dear Haven Home Equity (Top Flight Financial) I am writing to formally complain about the handling of my refinancing application and to demand a prompt resolution. I was recently informed by your credit department that my application was denied because my mortgage company processed an escrow modification. This is unacceptable, especially since my mortgage payments have been current since July 2025. Throughout the two-month process, Tim and other representatives repeatedly led me to believe that my loan would close without issue. I was specifically told, "I see no reason why your loan would not be approved." At no point was I clearly advised that approval was uncertain or that unresolved issues could prevent closing. I completed extensive paperwork, provided documents that were not required, and repeatedly requested updates and return calls, many of which never occurred. I also paid nearly $700 for an appraisal based on your representations that the loan was moving forward. I was even advised to miss a car payment to help cover the cost, which forced me to make a double payment later. This experience has caused serious financial and emotional stress to me and my family and has negatively affected my health while I am fighting cancer. As a retired disabled veteran, I find your company's lack of professionalism and communication unacceptable. I am demanding: A full refund of the appraisal fee; A written explanation of the precise reason for denial and the documentation relied upon; A written apology for the misleading representations, delays, and poor communication; and A complete review of how my application was handled.this matter is not resolved, I have escalated it through your corporate chain of command and file complaints with the BBB and appropriate consumer-protection and regulatory agencies.
