My wife and I celebrated our 13th anniversary at The Jawbone in White Sulphur Springs. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of incredible--easily one of the best meals either of us has ever had. We kicked things off with cocktails, and they alone were worth the visit. My wife had the London Fog Martini--made into a "Smog" with a shot of Kahlua--and it was dreamy: a perfect blend of housemade lavender syrup, earl grey vodka, vanilla vodka, and cream. I had The Blind Pig, made with jalapeño tequila, grapefruit juice, simple syrup, soda water, and a Tajín rim. We both agreed they were two of the best drinks we've ever had. The bartender--who not only crafted the drinks but kindly and personally served them to our table--was creative, engaging, and incredibly kind. Her cocktail menu is filled with inventive, housemade ingredients and thoughtful pairings. She's not just mixing drinks; she's creating experiences. She deserves all the praise and then some. For starters, we had the Burrata appetizer, featuring burrata mozzarella, heirloom tomatoes done three ways, garlic herb oil, balsamic reduction, and crispy rice paper. Beautifully plated and bursting with flavor. For entrees, my wife ordered the Crazy Mountain Alfredo, a rich and slightly spicy cream sauce over pasta with salami, roasted red peppers, and chicken--it had the perfect kick. I had the Salmon Hollandaise with sautéed potatoes, crispy bacon, asparagus, and chives. It was all cooked perfectly, but the hollandaise sauce in particular was next-level--possibly the best I've ever had. We also tried the Airline Chicken Breast, served with quinoa tabbouleh, roum, roasted peppers, and artichoke hearts--another fantastic dish. We ended the night by sharing a slice of lemon whipped cheesecake, which was the ideal light, tangy, and sweet finish. The ambiance was warm and relaxed with great music and lovely decor--refined but not stuffy. Our server, Katie, was an absolute gem: warm, attentive, and clearly invested in making our experience special. We don't get many date nights out--especially ones at restaurants of this caliber--and this evening blew us away. Honestly, The Jawbone could hold its own in any major city. The fact that this gem is in a smaller Montana town just makes it that much more special. If you're anywhere near White Sulphur Springs, make the time to eat here. You will not regret it. We have eaten at The Jawbone twice now and the food was amazing both times. The menu is really small, the drinks take a while to come to the table and it's SUPER small. Having said that I would 100% recommend this restaurant. It's STELLAR and it's a must do when you're in while sulphur springs. Be sure you make a reservation as there are only 5 or 6 tables and they are always packed. read more

The food and drinks were incredible. The service, horrendous. We were dismissed the second we walked in the door. We were made to feel less than. We sat at the bar and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. We asked multiple times for our check and the hostess/bartender kept dismissing us. I would love to recommend this place for their food and drinks, but their service leaves much to be desired. We felt we were not good enough for this establishment. Will not recommend to fellow patrons. Shame on you. read more

When planning my trip, The Jawbone was one of the reasons I decided to stop in White Sulphur Springs. So, I already had high expectations, and they were easily met! I loved the speakeasy atmosphere and friendly service. They have a great drink menu as well as a lovely beer selection on tap. Unfortunately, their taps were not working. This was not the only place I had stopped on this trip that was out of CO2. They did have bottled beer available. Their drinks easily made up for it. Food was very good. I had their filet and it was cooked perfectly as were the vegetables and potatoes. I was there early, and the restaurant did fill up fast. Prices are what you would expect for fine dining. We were visiting my bf's aunt and googled The Jawbone which was so close to our stay. The pics of both the food and drinks drew us in. We were delighted to get on the wait list and didn't end up with a wait. Everyone was so personable. The music was a fun mix of top hits in a swing/ jazz ensemble. We were very impressed by Cristian's top notch chef skills. I had the filet mignon plate and it was so tender. The potatoes and asparagus were also very yummy! My bf had a chef's special that was equally delicious. Naomi made us some unique and wonderfully prepared cocktails. I have to say they were all delicious but the Hooch was my favorite. The ambiance, combined with the amazing food and drinks is worth the money. We will definitely come back on our next trip to White Sulphur Springs! read more

Went to the Jawbone for dinner tonight, first time as it was highly recommended. The food was very good but the service was terrible. We were only drinking water , never got a refill. We ordered an appetizer which after 30min never came but just our meal! Still no more water! The gal that to our order only apologized after I brought it to her attention! read more

This well-executed speakeasy concept restaurant thoroughly exceeded expectations. The Jawbone would do well in Bozeman; to find just a high-quality dining experience in White Sulphur is a delightful surprise! The atmosphere is great (I loved the open kitchen!) and the wait staff attentive. The menu limited but everything we tried from it was very tasty. My companions very much enjoyed their cocktails. If you're interested in nice meal while in White Sulphur, you're in luck! Do call ahead--the space is small and seating is limited. We lucked out and got seats at the bar without a reservation--but next time I'm passing through the area I'll be sure to call. 4.5 stars--minus half a star for not having much in terms of options (e.g. not much on the menu if anyone in the group has dietary restrictions, for the designated driver, etc.). Absolutely fabulous meal. The staff is so cool and inviting to all. Don't be surprised if the nightly special knocks your socks off. It did for me. One night Wagu Meatloaf and another Wagu Tenderloins. The Jawbone is run by 2 wonderful gals who are so awesome. The food was wonderful. We we're in town for just a few days and they provided us with hometown hospitality and a great time. Drinks and the company were to die for. I hope to be back soon. I'm from Las Vegas (15+ years) by way of San Francisco (40+ years) so my cuisine standards are quite high and this intimate sexy little restaurant met my foodie criteria on all points! The chef definitely knows what he is doing when it comes to all things food! The Brie appetizer was to die for and one of the specials of the evening, a grilled flank steak, medium rare with feta and a balsamic reduction was made to perfection. Next on to the dessert that I had been eyeing upon my arrival...the creme brûlée! Delicious is all I can say and I'm a definite dessert junkie....this one is fantastic and one must save room for this to end their gastronomic adventure on a high note in White Sulphur Springs! I did not have any adult beverages but I saw what the young bartender Dawson was crafting behind the counter and he could rival any bartender I've seen at our world famous Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas and apparently the sharp looking customers who were enjoying his libations would agree!! Wow! What an excellent dining experience. Every dish we had was incredible. The freshest Burrata Salad that was perfectly dressed, Ahi Tuna Wontons were INCREDIBLE, as was the Flatbread. We had several cocktails that were mixed to perfection. The girls who I presume are the owners were attentive, professional, and super sweet. The food here was outstanding! This is a small restaurant with 7 tables and one chef. The wait staff was friendly, but don't expect a quick meal. We arrived at 6:30, and promptly placed orders for cocktails that were quickly delivered. We placed our dinner order 20 minutes after arriving, and got our French onion soup 30 minutes after we ordered. It was delicious, but they had a large group in, and they got their orders first. We weren't in a hurry, so it was fine. But we waited another 40 minutes for our entrees, delivered 1 & 1/2 hours after we were seated.
