    Pancit Noodles
    Didi N.

My husband loves this place and it's one of his go tos for Filipino food! We went on a Saturday and the place is small but pretty quaint and wholesome. The staff were so friendly and greeted us with huge smiles! One critique I had was that it was a bit steamy and hot inside. The doors were all opened while there's AC in the store (doors were open to help with the kitchen heat most likely). There were fans blowing around but it was pretty toasty with the Florida weather. I could tolerate it but others may find it outputting. It's a pick and choose type of place and we had the following: Pancit noodles - 7/10: it was good but needed some extra calamansi juice. I love they provide the juice in a bottle nearby. The flavors were there but maybe I'm used to my husband grandma's pancit, that it was just okay to me. I love the portion sizes and the fresh carrots added a sweetness to the noodles! There were crisp and crunchy! Pork Adobo and Sisig 2 meat combo w/rice - 9/10: husband had two meats and garlic rice (common in Filipino dishes) and we both agreed how tasty it was! Sisig is usually served on a sizzling platter but they didn't do that way here. However, the sisig was tangy, a little spicy, and rich in flavors. I exclaimed "wow" as I tried it! Sisig is typically made with pork belly and the fatty was of the pork made the dish so juicy and divine. The pork adobe was just as good, tender, and braised deliciously well! The garlic rice paired well with both meats! I was honestly sad at the last bite! The store was a little chaotic inside with lots of different ingredients, sauces, candy, chips, drinks for sale but honestly, it took me back to when I was visiting the stores in Vietnam. I found myself smiling and looking at everything. Will be back for sure to try more things but I hope it won't be as hot next time! Definitely try out this place!!! It's worth the price for the portion sizes! Even the small side of pancit noodles was a hefty portion!

    Not good

The lumpia was great, the chicken adobo very dry and chicken tuff pancit was ok. Stay away from the adobo. The meat had been cooked so long it was not edible.

Great food... I came for the pancit and lumpia... I left with others items; after the owner suggested I taste for MYSELF and not follow reviews.. I choose and eat at restaurants based off reviews. I am a foodie!

It's a turo turo (point point) place, where food is pre-prepared and you just pick what you want. Kinda like Panda Express. Place is small but has a dining area where you can sit and chow down. Like a previous review mentioned: it's HOT! A/C where you at? I ordered a two item combo with menudo, dinuguan and an order of lumpia for $10.69. By meat was dry and flavor was ok.

Update 6/22/2026:…read more Met up with a colleague for lunch and this place never fails me! The owner and staff are wonderful people working hard to bring the Hawaiian-Filipino taste to the Jax Community! Reminds me of when I visited Hawaii in the past and I just miss the islands! It was during early lunch so it was quiet at first but later saw folks coming through for lunch. My colleague never had Hawaiian food so the owner and I recommended a few dishes -- he chose the Loco Moco, Hawaiian-comfort food. I missed the garlic shrimp back then, and so luckily they had it in the menu -- Hawaiian Fried Garlic Shrimp!!! It was fantastic! The savory and super garlicky taste of those fried shrimps (yes, they had the shells still on, but that's the best part). The shells were crispy/fried enough and covered in the garlicky sauce that you can just eat it. Some folks may have other opinions, but I'm used to eating it this way in my culture as well. The fiesta rice was seasoned well and the Hawaiian Mac Salad was wonderfully semisweet and seasoned well too. Always great vibes by the decor and the owners!

I didn't like the sides on the Fiesta Plate that much (macaroni salad, which my wife didn't like, rice, salad), though the salad was pretty good. It also had a piece of fried chicken; I thought it was nice, my wife not so much, but neither of us thought it was up to Jollibee (admittedly, a high standard). I had a taste of the pancit bihon, which was more strongly flavored than any I've had before, and not a favorite. Servings are smallish, so I don't think that Fiesta Plate is a good value. They close too early at night: 8 PM on a Friday. The setting is simple. Some of the seating looked uncomfortable, e.g. a bench or tables along the wall with wood at your back. We got a table with four plastic chairs, however, which was comfortable. Our server was very nice and friendly, though she had more work than she could handle without issues. They add 3.5% (reflected in the prices above), for using credit cards. With a soda ($3.36 for a can) and tip, the total for two shared courses came to $35.

The cafe is more on the smaller side but it's cozy and the customer service is always happy and friendly! When you walk inside, there's a hot bar with all the food items available that day. You can check their Facebook page for their menu each day! You can get combos like an entree and a side, two entrees and a side, etc. On the shelves near the windows, there are local Filipino desserts like crinkles, puto (rice cake), flan, etc for sale. They also sell mac salad in the fridge and some dried fish on the shelves. What I love about this cafe is that they have a small snacks/drinks/candy market next to the dining area. The dining area is a good size and faces the parking lot. On this particular Saturday, we had the following entrees and sides: Lechon (roasted pig), Kaldereta (Filipino beef stew), and some rice! The lechon pieces were big and the skin (my fav!) was crispy, salty, and golden! The meat was also juicy and not dry. What I like to do is dip the meat into some white vinegar to give it some acidity since the lechon is on the heavy side after a few bites. The Kaldereta was hearty, rich, flavorful and it reminded me of an elevated beef stew. The potatoes and carrots literally melted in my mouth! I gave my combo plate a 8.5/10! My husband had Humba (braised pork belly that is slow cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, fermented black beans, and sugar) and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He shared some pieces of it with me and it was smooth as butter. It was sweet and salty and his rice soaked up all the sauces. Definitely a must try! I would give it a 9/10 because the flavors were so rich and it made me want even more! The prices are reasonable for how much food you're getting! They also sell desserts like halo halo (shaved iced with fresh fruits, taro ice cream, toppings like flan, condensed milk, jellies, beans, etc.) I've personally had the halo halo and it's one of my favorites! Super refreshing on a hot summer day. They also sell mango and taro flavored cakes but you have to call in advance for whole cakes. Their cakes are light, delicious, and fluffy! I especially enjoy the mango cake because you get chunks of fresh, champagne mangoes on and inside the cake. We've been coming here for years and don't plan on stopping. My husband is a bit of a Filipino food snob at times, but Lola's definitely has a special place in his heart! They do military discounts too, FYI!

The food was very good overall, but my favorite dish is the tofu sisig. It's bold and savory, I could not stop eating! I tried it for the first time here and haven't found another version I like as much anywhere else. The larger parties were served buffet style, otherwise we had the dishes family style.
