Thank you Marinas Grinds for letting us dine in for my mothers birthday. Josephine was wonderful and tentative. She provided her way service and conversation. Food came out quickly and fresh. I really enjoyed the starters we ordered including the beef empanadas and the spam musubi. My family is Filipino so we ordered pancit, Lechon, and sinigang to get a taste of home, really delicious! The Hawaiian pasta salad was also a favorite of the night, it was very good and had the right amount of flavor. My husband enjoyed the marinade on the short ribs and he wanted to order a full plate of the Hawaiian pasta salad :) Great place and we will be back!

The number of times I've ordered from here is crazy, but it's SO GOOD! I've eaten in person maybe 2-3 times, but it's just as good when ordering delivery. My go-tos are the beef lumpia, loco moco, and island-style short ribs. Everything is delicious, and it is one of my favorite places to eat. Everyone needs to try here!

Mariana's Grinds entire menu looks DELICIOUS. My go-to is the BBQ platter and it never disappoints. The short rib is so tasty and the sides of kimchi and Mac n cheese are perfect. The beef lumpia was also a good choice for an appetizer. The service is pretty quick and the serving sizes are plentiful. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a brightly lit restaurant and the staff is very friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come here again!!

Service absolutely wonderful. Very disappointed I spent $20 for a Diet Pepsi, this siopao in the photo, and a spam masubi that didn't have seasoned rice or spam. It was a very thin sliver and disappointing to say the least. I was excited that the siopao looked good until I opened these to find nothing. It feels like I got jipped. I won't be back if this what I'm paying for. Again- service above normal and no issues. Not happy with the two items I rcvd since I don't eat out often.

Authentic Chamorro and Hawaiian food, prepared by the best family in town. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Except a home cozy atmosphere and leave feeling full from a delicious meal![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is great and the owners and family are welcoming, they remember our favorite meals every time we come in, they treat everyone as family. Everything is delicious and made with love. Smothered fried chicken, chicken keluguan, loco moco are a few of our favorites. Sooo delicious.

I know I can't believe it took me this long to finally get to Marianas Grinds but hey better late then never right? Came in on a Saturday for a late lunch around 1:30PM and had no problem getting a table. We were seated given menus as will as specialty menus and already I'm overwhelmed. They had so many options and it all sounded so good so of course I had my work cut out for me. All the apps sounded amazing so we had to ask for recommendations and they were very helpful. We went with the BBQ Pork Sticks, Spam Musubi, and the Veggie Lumpia (which you get 2 of when you check in). I will say all were great but my favorite was the BBQ Pork Stick. The Pork was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and the sauce was great too. I was having such a hard time trying to figure out what to get for my entrée but I had to got with the Loco Moco since I can't get anything like this anywhere else and I know they are doing this right plus you can't beat it at $9.99. Our food came out in about 10 minutes and it was great. Egg perfectly cooked, the beef juicy with a crispy sear, and that gravy... I was so flavorful. Truly one of the most flavorful gravy's I have ever had. This dish is also huge so bring you appetite. I know it took so long to finally come here but I can't wait to come back and I will have to since there is still so much I want to try. Plus you can't beat the amazing family and staff working here who was so helpful to us first timers. Also again, prices are amazing here and you will not leave hungry. Can't say that much anymore...

Going for the Island meals today!

Ma and Pa shop Island style! I love it! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is the first restaurant that made me feel like I was back in Guam again![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's decor, the various meals it offers - Marianas Grinds is the real deal and deserves every bit of its high ranting on Yelp. First off, all the staff members here are highly courteous and friendly. They'll take questions, and frequently check up on how you're doing. I sensed on my visit that many of the customers were regulars here as they were almost all called by name. Sign of a great reputation in the area Marianas Grinds enjoys! They mainly offer Hawaiian, Filipino, and Chamorro (Guamanian) cuisine styles - from what I ate, they do it very well. I had the chicken ginasan plate, which came with eggplant, bok choy, and onions - you gotta try this! It was all prepped perfectly, and the red rice and macaroni salad capped off a super Marianas cuisine experience! We also had pork adobo - I felt it was better here than most Island restaurants I've eaten in. But my favorite surprise on this day were the empanadas. The deep fried casing included beef and mixed vegetables (mainly corn and peas). These were delicious! I know I'll order these every time I visit Marians Grinds! Stop by and visit if you like Island-style meals! Or if you want to try something new and different. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This is one shop that really gives you that Island feel and will have you coming back for more![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Recommend: VERY HIGH

One of my fav places in Jax. Haven't been here in a while. Still quite good and delicious. Staff is very friendly. The restaurant is on the small side, and that is great.

Delish cuisine from the Islands. Philippine,Hawaiian and Guamanian mix. Located in the same plaza as Winn dixie on Beach blvd. they have some of their picture menu items on display. When you walk in you get this cute and casual vibe and you get greeted by a very hospitable staff. Seems as the family were all there working together. Service was prompt and they explained the menu as some stuff I wasn't familiar with. It's a mixture of Hawaiian, Filipino and Guamanian food. Nonetheless it was delicious. We started of with the spam musubi which definitely is big in Hawaii where spam is wrapped up like sushi. Then we got Locomoco beef patty on rice with fried egg and gravy. It was definitely delicious. Shrimp patty and chicken corn soup which was delicious. Portion size very good. Creamy and satisfying. First time I've tried food mixtures presented like this, Rice gravy egg and beef patty all together. Such a great combo! Definitely going back

We found this place just by driving by. We were intrigued because of the food that it offered- Philippino/Hawaiian. We ordered the Ramen with chicken katsu with a side of white rice, fried pork chop dish, and loco moco along with some appetizers. Everything was delicious! Even our picky eater girls ate it all up. The service was fast and super friendly. She took the time to learn our names and have a nice conversation with us. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was very family friendly where we didn't have to feel like the kids couldn't be themselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great place overall! Glad we found them and will return when we are back in the area. Thank you so much!

The cafe is more on the smaller side but it's cozy and the customer service is always happy and friendly! When you walk inside, there's a hot bar with all the food items available that day. You can check their Facebook page for their menu each day! You can get combos like an entree and a side, two entrees and a side, etc. On the shelves near the windows, there are local Filipino desserts like crinkles, puto (rice cake), flan, etc for sale. They also sell mac salad in the fridge and some dried fish on the shelves. What I love about this cafe is that they have a small snacks/drinks/candy market next to the dining area. The dining area is a good size and faces the parking lot. On this particular Saturday, we had the following entrees and sides: Lechon (roasted pig), Kaldereta (Filipino beef stew), and some rice! The lechon pieces were big and the skin (my fav!) was crispy, salty, and golden! The meat was also juicy and not dry. What I like to do is dip the meat into some white vinegar to give it some acidity since the lechon is on the heavy side after a few bites. The Kaldereta was hearty, rich, flavorful and it reminded me of an elevated beef stew. The potatoes and carrots literally melted in my mouth! I gave my combo plate a 8.5/10! My husband had Humba (braised pork belly that is slow cooked in soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, bay leaves, fermented black beans, and sugar) and he thoroughly enjoyed it. He shared some pieces of it with me and it was smooth as butter. It was sweet and salty and his rice soaked up all the sauces. Definitely a must try! I would give it a 9/10 because the flavors were so rich and it made me want even more! The prices are reasonable for how much food you're getting! They also sell desserts like halo halo (shaved iced with fresh fruits, taro ice cream, toppings like flan, condensed milk, jellies, beans, etc.) I've personally had the halo halo and it's one of my favorites! Super refreshing on a hot summer day. They also sell mango and taro flavored cakes but you have to call in advance for whole cakes. Their cakes are light, delicious, and fluffy! I especially enjoy the mango cake because you get chunks of fresh, champagne mangoes on and inside the cake. We've been coming here for years and don't plan on stopping. My husband is a bit of a Filipino food snob at times, but Lola's definitely has a special place in his heart! They do military discounts too, FYI!
