But all my nerves were put to ease by how friendly, welcoming, and informative all the staff was. For my first initial appointmentsI have been in the care of Dr. Alcorn who is very informative and makes sure you are as comfortable as possible. He informed me of what he was adjusting, how he was doing it, and reassured I was comfortable with the pressures while he was adjusting. With the little interaction I've had with the other doctors, they are just as informative and great. The office staff is extremely friendly and reassuring. Before your next appointment, you will always know what to expect and what to expect to pay. You won't be surprised with additional costs, they always go over what to expect at your future appointments, which I really liked. After the first initial appointments, which include x-rays, I had 1 adjustment and then scheduled an appointment to review the x-rays with a doctor and go over the treatment plan. Overall, I am pleased with my experience with MaxLiving so far.

I went, and it was a very nice place. However, what threw me off was the church music in different rooms and people listening to "Dr. Wilson" on replay over the speakers in the common area. They "test you", and sure enough, there's always something wrong with you where you HAVE to get this treatment. Anyway, saw a chiropractor and spoke with him for a bit. He then wanted to do an adjustment, which I was fine with. He then prayed over me and the adjustment lasted about 30 seconds. He then said my wife (who was not a patient) needed to come back with me to do a group therapy session. I was like "What??!". It has a very cult-like vibe to it and I never went back. But one thing is sure, they WILL call you incessantly to try to get you to come back. I've since found a legitimate chiropractor and told him the story. He said he's heard of that place and has actually had some of their ex-patients cone in and tell him the same thing. He thought it was very odd as well. I DO NOT suggest going there, but of you do, I'd love to hear anyone's recent opinions of it.

He listened to me first then did a simple no-frills Xray to confirm what he thought was going on. I gotta say I wasn't skeptical with chiropractic care or what it entails . . . just ignorant of its territory so to speak. (skeletal pain as opposed to muscle and joints). Sure enough my pain was caused by an old back injury I didn't know or remember happening. It diverted the angle of my spine from my hips and then the spine basically bent back in an attempt to correct itself. But that left a little s-shaped area that finally had begin to get stuck. He basically made some adjustments with a specialized tool and the pain was cut virtually immediately. I had to come back in for two additional treatments. But I walked into his office in severe pain and walked out 35 minutes later with mild soreness that eventually went away. By 24 hours I was pain free! His staff was warm and friendly and his wife who runs the office set up my initial patient profile explains how any future visits - if necessary - can go. I've never been there more than 45 minutes from waiting room to treatment room. If you live anywhere within an hour of this place and have pain that you know or think is associated with you spine/back call them!

My first visit was through a Groupon for massage and acupuncture. I already had a chiropractor I like that I was seeing at the time of my first visit, but I was so impressed with the services at Avon Chiropractic that I decided to make the switch. The thing I think impresses me most about AC is that the staff really listen. They know your name and they not only ask about what you need, they take care of those needs. My particular healthcare needs are pretty challenging and pretty much any day I go in their office my needs are different. This is not a cookie cutter chiropractor office. Other places I have been will do the same things over and over, no matter what you tell them you need and no matter how much or where you hurt. But not this place. They focus solely on where you hurt and help you get better...whether it is through chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, magnosphere/magnetic therapy, ultrasound/STEM technology, etc. The front office staff is also pleasing to work with as well.
