I usually go to another location, and it appears size does matter in this field. He was so experienced and capable of popping multiple problem areas where others could not or didn't know to. I was actually finishing off the month and planned to cancel my subscription. I love the ease & flexibility of The Joint but thought I had hit a wall in treatment. So glad Dr. Pitman came back from where ever he went. He's awesome, so I highly recommend. He's a good listener, makes you feel comfortable and he's relatable. I drive past a closer The Joint location to see Dr. Pitman. My condition has improved, but it's a relief to know he's there when needed. This location takes walk-ins every day, but I only go during weekdays to see Dr. Pitman. I have the bomb healthcare insurance, but their 4 visits per month was less than my copays to see a specialist 4 times per month. The Joint used to do first adjustment for $19 with no membership, so definitely inquire about that. Out front there is a open parking lot, so plentiful parking with short distance walking. read more

Update : we spoke to a manager from the joint. I received the call after my review. I am updating to 3 stars because they DID refund my money. I am not giving 5 stars because I believe this entire situation could've been avoided. The manager told my fiance something like " ..understands that emails get spammed or get put in junk mail..". No sir. We never got an email. I know this to be a fact because the email was wrong in your system. Also, he said that we weren't the only people that were unaware about freezing the account and that the joint has been refunding people. What I'm curious to know is...if that was the case and the joint was truly sympathetic towards the situation why wasn't this done when I asked in store? The employee who helped (he was nice and did his job) said that he would ask the manager if he could do anything. He went to the back and said basically "sorry there's nothing we can do.". It was only after several reviews that they called and we were able to get a refund. It's frustrating to me that the only time I was offered the refund was after the fact (damage control) I will be deleting my other reviews but I am not going to sweep it under the rug. The location should've addressed the situation when it happened and I was in store. I am beyond frustrated with this company. I will never return. We signed up for an account. They manually punched in my card because it wasn't physically with me. Ok. Well we were told since they punched it in we would need to bring in the card to update the account or it wouldn't go through the next billing cycle. Well we totally forgot about that. Then hits COVID. I received numerous emails from various companies saying they would be closing, offering freezes on accounts , remaining open etc.. not a single email from the joint. Not an email saying we are open.. nothing. So as I was going through charges on my account and I noticed The Joint was still reoccurring for $79. You have to go in person to cancel. So I came in today to cancel. I was informed that even though I was paying 79/month none of the unused visits transfer/roll over. I also learned that there is literally nothing they would do because they remained open. I'm sorry but that is bulls**t. So now I've paid them $395 and during this time for nothing. Dr. Pitman, the name isn't easy to forget so when you go in, be sure to ask for him! He's soo personable especially for such a quick appointment and he gets the job done. I've gone to three other Joint clinics that are much more convenient for me but I'll go out of the way to see Dr. Pitman. As efficient and quick as these appointments are, I feel like he adjusts you according to your needs and not just a routine visit that everyone receives. If we're going to be honest, I usually go to The Joint on Westheimer and Gessner, that's the one I signed up in. And don't get me wrong they're great, but you don't know what you don't know. I went there for about 2 months, and last week I was going to go visit for the last time and cancel the monthly membership. The reason I bring that up is because last week was my first time coming to The Joint here in Katy, and Dr. Fatima revived me from canceling. I never even mentioned it to her that I was planning on canceling, but the way she treated me and her other clients is PHENOMENAL. She made me feel very welcomed, and I've noticed a huge difference in my body with just two treatments. The is the only location I will ever be going to here in Houston. Popping bones without knowing underlying cause made pain in my shoulder worse. If it was worth it, I would sue. I ended up having a type of tendonitis with a possible tear in shoulder cuff. Wish they would at least give me my measly 29 dollar refund. But if I end up needing surgery, trust me I will seeking suing as an option. Let me clarify a few things from your unprofessional response to look good for your clients. I did not ask for a refund because that should be offered. Your mistake not mine. 2nd the doctor did know I was upset because of my tone of voice and I didn't say more on phone because I waiting to get my MRI. If you want a "walk in and get your back cracked without any privacy" experience, go for it. Other than that quick "fix" i will not be coming back. They suckered me into a subscription and promised to email me stretches, but I have yet to get that email (and I requested it twice plus checked my junk folder). The only email I received was a survey to fill out. Also, I'm still in pain so I went another route and will be calling to cancel that subscription they sold me on. The Joint may have made a mistake, but their ability to right it in order to keep customer satisfaction is top notch. Great customer service. ORIGINAL: (1 star) I was suckered into buying a monthy membership here in July, got the first month free and was charged in August, after that charge I decided to call and cancel and they told me the cancellation went fine and that id be all set. It is six months later and i'm now realizing they've been charging me every month when I have 1) cancelled my membership, and 2) I haven't visited the location, or any location even ONCE in the last seven months since my first adjustment. It is one thing to charge me for the first month or two that I committed myself to, but to continue to charge me after my cancellation? No calls about "We haven't seen you, are you still interested in maintaining your membership" or anything. I am so upset at the greed and the wasted money over the last half of a year. Goes to show that customer well-being is not important to the Joint at any location, all they are worried about is collecting your money. read more

Usually, I love chiropractic care. I've been going to chiropractors all over the country for seven years. Fatima is the most aggressive doctor I've ever been adjusted by during my entire span of weekly appointments over the years. Some people really like the aggressive approach, but if you don't want to be "man-handled", then I wouldn't recommend this location. Also, after telling her that she hurt me, she told me to "ask for another doctor next time" and refused to continue the session or change her approach. I didn't expect her to apologize, but I was shocked at her rude response and lack of professionalism. 0 out of 10; would not recommend. read more

Got what I paid for.... I spent $19 and got 15 minutes (that 15 minutes included "evaluation" and adjustment). There was no diagnostic, they don't have any equipment (other than a table to lay on). If you're looking for someone to pop your back then you've come to the right place. If you're in need of actual treatment for a particular problem then go elsewhere. read more
