Not going to this place again I went for the 29$ initial visit for a shoulder pain and developed severe pain later the next day after the adjustment. During the office visit I signed up for the family plan but wanted to cancel it because of the pain. I have been getting the run around to get my refund back. When you can talk to somebody for everything else, for a refund you can't. You have to send an email which I did and also sent another email as a reminder. Still no answers. I don't understand why when it comes to getting money from the client it is instantaneous but for a refund there is nobody to even talk to. So don't sign up with these guys till you are absolutely sure it is going to work for you An update to my post above. I left a review on their website which did not get published because I gave a one star rating. Most ratings published on their websites are from people who gave them a five star rating. Also, I did finally get a reply by email denying a refund. I then filed a complaint on BBB after which they terminated my membership which means no future charges but still no refund. 2021, first visit. -- He adjusted my C1/C2 when my regular chiropractor couldn't. I was SO happy to find someone in UT who could, because only my chiro in CA could do it properly 'til I found him! 6/25, 2nd visit, went for neck again. Hoping he could work on L-ankle and arch. He did both feet, both hips without checking, did neck, but because it was out so much after the twist L & Rt, I asked him to use the "activator" to minimize more inflammation, so he did. I've been here twice. Be ready to pay 40$ for about 5 minutes of work. They didn't help anything. They also tried to sell us on a six pack of appointments the entire time. Literally the entire time. The chiropractor talked about the six pack more than he actually spent asking about our problem spots. When we told the receptionist we didn't want it, she got really quiet and cranky. If you actually need help from a chiropractor, this is not the place to go. He didn't actually help my back or my neck. I'm not paying for 6 appointments when the one I experienced was bad quality. I first visited Doctor Rowell at the joint earlier this month when I was experiencing some significant back and neck pain as well as overall joint pain and stiffness postpartum. This was my first time visiting a chiropractor and Doctor Rowell made the experience as comfortable as possible, easing any fears I had. Since then, I have had adjustments from Doctor Walker, Doctor Jackson and Doctor Farnsworth and they are all fantastic. The girls at the front desk are always nice as well. They just said "ok," and then stretched his legs and told him to buy a package and come back. No questions or evaluations of his back. Just upselling. The funny thing is we would have bought the packages if they actually seemed competent. But instead of trying to diagnose the issue they treated him for 10 minutes and sent him on his way. The beginning of this transaction started in August 2021, I walked into the Joint Chiropractic on 2100 south and saw there was a deal for; 4 appointments for 100$ roughly. This was very intriguing and caught my eye, as any other place would charge more than 100$ for only one visit. Talking to the lovely ladies behind the counter, I was told that this was in fact "NOT too good to be true" and that deal is what it looks like! Sight on scene I dropped what I was doing (because I was in pain) and did one of the sessions right then and there. Signed some documents and on I went. Completing the 4 treatments and realizing that my back was not so much fixed but actually made worse. I decided to not go back. Not a big deal, it just wasn't for me. Fast forward 2 years, and I get around to looking in depth to my bank statements. It's beside me why it took me this long, I know. I was charged for every month since my first visit. Just above 2 thousand dollars has been taken out of my account over the course of 2 years because I signed up for a subscription. I was told from the beginning, that this was a one time thing payment and that this isn't a subscription. Now I feel stolen from. Lied too, and walked over. I talked to the manager of the few locations in the area, and he told me the best he can do is refund me for 4 visits. Around 400$. (it's all making sense now) I asked him to put himself in my shoes and he said the best thing to do is drop it. Not go to court. Basically take the hit. At this point I have not received any more visits than the first 4, but getting charged every month for 2 years. The most important part of all this was that not one email was sent. Not one email saying my account was being charged, Not one email reminding me to make an appointment. My gym membership does more emailing than that and it's a 10th of the cost. It felt like they were trying to keep it a secret. I signed a contract. Legally, it's my fault. But I can't just let go of the fact that it was explained in a completely different fashion. I was in pain and signed the contract under duress. Of course I wanted to get the paperwork over with. I needed serious help on the alignment of my spine. As I stated I understand people make mistakes, and I'm not holding this against the "lovely front desk ladies" but I can't just let 2 thousand slip by. 400$ is not enough of a refund. Hoping this act of filing this complaint will get their attention and we can find a better number together. I know I'm not the only one. The Better Business Bureau specifically told me they have multiple complaints like this exact one. read more

I went in with serious back and neck pain, hopeful I could get help or answers. I spent more time filing out the intake form which the chiropractor didn't read than the time spent with the chiropractor in my initial visit. I don't feel like I received any real answers or explanation of why I was in so much pain. The chiropractor spent more time selling me on their payment plan than he gave me personalized care. I didn't agree to the subscription plan, yet he told the front office worker to sign me up. I refused and left crying, still in pain. read more

The joint is a great place to come for maintenance visits. They're usually pretty quick getting us in and out. The reason for 4 stars is due to some long waits that are unpredictable. The doctors are great, and build good rapport with patients. The secretaries are friendly as well. Come check them out! read more

I've never been one to write a review about anything but this time I just had to. I used to have frequent migraines, like every other day. It ruined my day and the only remedy that would help even a little was to take a nap. OTC meds did nothing, cold water on my head did nothing, literally had this issue for years and it was a normal thing but it sucked. I hated taking naps (lol forced naps) just to get rid of a headache. A lot of my migraines would always follow neck pain. Playing contact sports was fun but if I knew this would be one of many post play things I'd go through? I'd probably would've chosen chess and not rugby and football haha. So one day, after watching a YouTube video and the dr said it helped w migraines I figured... why not. First time, new client, didn't know what to expect. Went in and saw one of the Drs and he asked me some questions. Got to know what my problem was and then proceeded to do his thing! And I gotta tell you, it was fast, he was careful and from my very first appointment which was well over a month ago, I've had ONE migraine!! May not be a big deal to some but brotha if you had migraines 3-5 times a week avg 12-20 a month??? ONE IS PRETTY DANG GOOD. Lol. Tried to get in today, Sunday. I used the app to checkin and went to the Sugarhouse location. I arrived just after they opened and was told 'new patients can't be processed till 1:00pm' , so I left. I Went home and went to their website and filled out a form for a new patient price. I then called the office directly and made a new patient appointment for 1:00pm. I arrived just before 1:00pm and was then told that the system for processing new patients was down and they tried to call me, but the receptionist had my number wrong. One of the chiropractors came out and said they couldn't process new patients and to come back tomorrow. So I've made two trips to this location and haven't been taken care of. I won't be giving the Sugarhouse location a third time to mishandle me. So far my opinion of THE JOINT is not good, and my back is still killing me. I don't think the Sugarhouse location of THE JOINT wants new patients. Today, Monday, someone called from Sugarhouse THE JOINT, and saw that I had made an inquiry, and asked if I wanted an appointment today. First off she had my correct number? What was wrong with the receptionist on Sunday?? Also when I used the app and checked the box saying I was a new patient, why didn't the app only present appointment times for new patients. I turned down the offer for any appointments because I don't want to be mishandled by THE JOINT again!! No idea if the chiropractors are good, can't get past the counter read more

My husband and I came in an hour before closing. I told the receptionist that we are new patients. She said, "Oh, then turn and looks at the second receptionist." The second reception gave my husband and I dirty look and said. Well, you need to come back tomorrow. We do not accept new patients an hour before we close. Mind you, we were there an hour before closing. There was a white woman that came into the establishment the same time as we did but she was given a new patients application and proceeded with the new patient's process and was allowed to be seen. My husband and I are black Americans. We felt discriminated against, so we will not be going to any of these establishments. The docs are great- the PROBLEM is that they are too busy. Expect to wait an hour at least every time. The last two times I came the wait times were over an hour. Today I was asked to leave and come back. It was a Wednesday at 2:00 pm... not peak hours. The girl told me I could go to West Valley if I preferred. They NEED to put another location downtown or in the Avenues. My last visit, three people in the waiting room just gave up and left. read more

I'll preface this review by saying I've been to some phenomenal chiropractors in my day, and have many friends who are great chiropractors. So far, decent. I have moderate disc herniation issues between my C5-C6 vertebrae. I've been going here for almost 2 months now (once a week) and I'm about 50% improved in the pain/discomfort/finger tingling department. The price is definitely right here: $19 an adjustment. There are two doctors here -- you will get one or the other depending on the day. They keep track of their work on a computer. In my experience, sometimes going to one chiropractor is a smart thing to do. I'm usually in and out of here in about 5 minutes, as I only have them adjust my neck. They will align/adjust your entire spine if you so desire. Do I feel like I get the "care" that I get at a "$50 an adjustment" establishment? No. At the end of the day, what matters a lot to me is: is the pain going away? And for me, I'm at ~40-50% improvement since first signing up. I will update this review in another months time. Hoping to get to 100%. read more

The good: friendly staff, open 7 days a week. I appreciated this. The bad: super quick adjustment (2 mins?), didn't help nearly as much as my other chiropractor (The Works - Dr. Gunn, who is super thorough and spends at least 20 mins with each patient), no privacy (3 beds all lined up next to each other), then they sit for 5-10 mins after your adjustment and try to sell you on what a great deal you'd be getting if you sign up for a subscription plan. They even said "you really should come in twice tomorrow". This is such an unattractive business model. They're so much more concerned about taking your money than actually helping you feel better. read more

Awesome doctors that explain everything. I've been adjusted by 2 or 3 different chiropractors here, and they've all been wonderful and informative in their own way. However, the receptionists are questionable. The waiting times provided are never quite right. I always wait longer than what I'm told. Even when I've call ahead, I always ending waiting the same amount of time. For example, I'll call ahead when I'm 20min away, and the wait time at that moment when I'm added to the cue will be 20min, so how is it that when I arrive I still have to wait 20-25 min?!? Something's not right here. There has also been several times where I'd drive all the way to be told the wait time is 1 hour+. I'd recommend this place for simple adjustments. I like to come, because I sit in an office chair for almost 60 hours a week. I definitely feel a reduction in tension and stiffness in my neck and back. Not sure if I'll continue after a few months of treatment though, because it is starting to feel like a chore waiting each week. read more

We went to dispute this they basically told me to kick rocks and said since I paid this month I can get in for an adjustment. Very unhappy about this as I stated we don't want reoccurring billing . I've been getting adjustments for a while now and I know how important they are for my body. I've gotten them during rugby season and just recently throughout my pregnancy. Being a first time mom I never had any back pains my whole pregnancy. When the time came for me to deliver my baby I went all natural and my son came out healthy with a 9hr labor. That's short for a first time mom and I honestly can say it's been a breeze because of my chiropractic appointments. Since I moved to Salt lake I was hesitant to switch joints and come to this location. I started coming postpartum and seeing Dr.Fransworth. He's by far the best chiro that I've ever met with technique wise. And he's super friendly. I'd def recommend coming to see him. read more

I just recently moved to Salt Lake from Denver and have always had back issues. I used to go to The Joint in Denver about once a week since my back issue is pretty reoccurring. I dropped into this location and waited about ten minutes for the adjustment. I didn't catch the name of the man who did my adjustments but he did a good job and was consistent. Although he did go a little bit harder than most chiropractors I've seen at The Joint, he was able to loosen me up and adjust my back very well which I appreciated. read more

I'll have to admit that I was a bit skeptical about going here, I've been to a traditional chiropractor many times but had some reservations about going to a place like this. First off what I love about The Joint I that is based all off walk-ins. No appointments, no miles of red tape, no bull crap; which I like because I can stop in whenever and never have to worry about missed appointments and long hours! I came in with a displaced rib, which hurt really really bad. After filling out only a few pages of information and I was taken right back. A very artsy & relaxing atmosphere, the doctor took an assessment of me and was careful about adjusting me. Since then I've had two follow-up appointments (chiropractic is a process) and I'm glad to report that my back feels great! Plus I signed up for one of their plans where I get 4 adjustments a month for the price of ONE traditional chiropractor! Plain and simple of your in need of a chiropractor an don't have insurance or want to deal with a doctors office. Come on down to The Joint! They will set you straight! read more
