Don't let yourself get sucked into their ridiculous pre paid wellness plans. I signed up for one thinking I would use it, but my schedule changed and I moved away from the area. I went into the office 3 weeks prior to the end of the plan month to cancel future auto renewal. I was then convinced by the receptionist and the chiropractor to wait with my cancellation till the end of the month so I could still use my plan for another adjustment or two. I was not able to come in. On the last day of the month I called in to cancel again. I was told I had to come in person to cancel. When I asked why does it have to be in person, I was told, that's their policy. So I drive there after long day of work to finally cancel my plan, only to be told that my plan has already renewed that day and they can't do anything about the charge. They are well aware that I will not be able to use any of the treatment sessions. So enjoy my last $90 thieves! Hope you can sleep well at night charging people for services that will not be provided. That's scam at its finest, disguised underneath lengthy legal contracts, reinforced by ridiculous office rules and a ton of bureaucracy. read more

Since I'm unable to respond on my original post: Thank you for your response, but I find it incredibly dismissive and disappointing. You mention that care is provided by licensed and experienced chiropractors--yet none of that protected me from suffering a vertebral artery dissection and a cerebellar stroke immediately following a neck adjustment at your clinic. This is a well-documented, catastrophic risk of cervical spinal manipulation that I was never warned about. There was no proper screening, no informed consent, and absolutely no sense of urgency when I was clearly experiencing a medical crisis. I also find it unacceptable that I was asked to sign membership paperwork during the early stages of my stroke. Even after being informed of what happened, your team was reluctant to refund me. Corporate never responded to my attempts to reach out, and the clinic's own wellness coordinator dismissed my experience despite medical documentation. If your company truly values patient safety and accountability, this incident would be taken seriously. Instead, you continue to rely on canned responses and vague encouragement to "contact clinic management"--something I've already done, to no avail. This was preventable. The public deserves transparency about the real risks, and I will continue to speak out so others don't suffer the same fate. read more

Not only does Dr. Simmons listen to your problems but he also offers knowledge and real solutions, taking his time with care. I truly look forward to visiting this location every week! Absolutely horrific experience. My husband went to get an adjustment. He was treated so horribly by the chiropractor who was supposed to be assisting him. He was rude, aggressive and not helpful at all. He felt so rushed and none of his concerns were addressed. Did not provide any relief. Very disappointed. I called them to let them know my concerns. The front desk lady told me she will not put me through to a manager and that my husband didn't speak English that's why there was miscommunication. My husband speaks English just fine. read more

I usually don't make reviews on people who are rude but the experience I just had made me feel the need to write a review. I spoke with an older sounding lady receptionist on the phone for information regarding pricing and what sort of adjustments are offered. She was very ill-mannered, dismissive, and had a snarky attitude about the questions I had regarding their "first time patient special" ultimately trying to get me to sign up for a membership without even being seen first or knowing what kind of treatment that would be necessary! I understand that she may be required to ask or inform customers of said membership but after being told that "being seen one time won't fit your problem" and that I would need to sign up for their membership to be seen once a week for at least a month to see any sort of results when I haven't even been seen by the doctor or had any sort or care yet, I will definitely not be going here. The snarky attitude and way she speaks to potential clients was not inviting or encouraging to want to have any sort of treatment here ever. This place is life changing. From the initial walk in to be greeted by a nice, caring and friendly lady at the front desk, to amazing treatment by doctor Gabe, I feel better after each session. I think the facility itself is super clean and top quality. The adjustments feel so good. I always feel clear headed any time I leave. I workout a lot so the adjustments are extremely crucial to my overall wellness. I could not recommend this place enough if you are in the Santee area or if you want to make a drive, this is the place to go to! Best of the best! Can't wait for many more sessions! read more

Was enticed by the new patient $29 visit and was glad I went! The gal at the front desk is very nice and Dr. Gabe is great! He listens to all of my concerns and quickly figures out to get me aligned. They have packages that can be purchased than can be used per month or per bundle of visits (can be used over time). Overall would recommend + there is never a long wait. read more

Better yet, do they not have insurance to run a medical facility? Are these even real medically licensed locations? Edit: While I appreciate the response, I did reach out directly to headquarters via email with no response. Additionally, the owner of the Santee location responded to my review in a disturbingly unprofessional and condescending manner. Please see the photo. My husband and I signed up in March with that location. Since the plan started in March, we used 3 of the 6 visits each, I believe. We decided it was best to cancel the plan as we were not utilizing it. We called to cancel the plan when we were out of town and were told that we had to go in person to cancel, we did not return until 03/10/2024. Additionally, we responded to the email in reference to our lack of use of the "benefits" requesting to cancel and to have the pending charges canceled, with no response. After calling and emailing, we went into the location and signed the cancellation forms yesterday. Again, calling and leaving a message regarding the pending charge when the phone was not answered. Today, when we called them after 6:00PM, they stated that they would not be refunding/canceling the charges, and the owner of the location, who was on site, refused to speak with us. The lack of customer service and professionalism is concerning, to say the least. The fact that they are associated with the franchise leaves a poor impression overall. Especially when you see the negative reviews specifically in reference to their location. At this point, from the charges alone, we are out $170 dollars. That does not include the time and energy that we spent trying to avoid just such a situation and now the time and energy that we will spend attempting to fix it. read more

Read the negative reviews. Almost all of them are billing issues. I wish I could scream from the rooftops to stay far away from this company. All they care about is money, not the customer. Just like many big corporation companies out there, they are all about the money. I work crazy hours and really struggled to make it in when they were open. I purchased the wellness package and was unable to go for 6 months. I called to cancel, and they told me that I have to come in. When I informed them that im canceling because I could not come in, they sent me a pdf cancelation form with zero instructions. I filled out and emailed this form back to them before my next bill was due. They charged me anyway and still have not canceled my account 4 days later. I am beyond frustrated. They will likely respond to make themselves look better without returning my money. I never received a bill reminder. I never received a call or note recognizing that I was not using my service. When I asked about the cancelation form, they did not give instructions or any information to help me with the process, but you know they got their money. read more

Let me start by saying I was a very happy with my experience here until I discovered that my account was charged for 4 month's. I was had a total of 3 appointments. I called to ask for my refund since I was not awarded of the membership that I was enrolled. They refused and said that there was nothing they can do. I explain to the person there at the reception that I was not aware about the membership and i haven't been there at all. She said it was there in the contract they give you and that is signed by me and that there was nothing they can do about it. I explained that if I knew I would of cancel it since the 2nd month. She said there was nothing to do and if I don't cancel in person 2 days before the renewal that is automatic and they will charge it. Misleading information about the membership they offer. Please be aware that the introduction price is only a hook to get you enroll on a membership that is not easy to get out of. I was not full informe that I was going to be charged every month $89 unless I cancel in person after two full months of paying $89 two days prior my membership was due. This is a scam. Please do not go there. Save your self money and headaches. The integrity of this place is awful, they don't care about the costumer service or patient care they way of doing business is misleading charging $89 membership without even using it. read more

ive been going to joint chiro at santee for months now and the level of comfort i get from it is immeasurable. top that with Dr. Roberts expertise and excellent care, evrytime i walk out i am pain free. he is very knowledgeable at what he does and always makes sure that he caters to my needs and does what he can to take out my pain away and feeling renewed everytime im done with the sessions. The Front desk clerk Anna is also very helpful and always greet guests with a smile and always puts out a very positive vibe. She is amazing at what she does and always have that eagerness to help any which way she can. Being pain free makes me enjoy my time with my kids and it also allows me to take care of my patients better as i also work in healthcare. I am very dissatisfied with the Santee location and how the front staff treated me. I went in for my first time in September and was unaware that I had signed up for a membership wellness package. They were only supposed to charge me $29 instead they charged me $100. I felt ill with covid in late September and today October 14th requested a refund or even for them to postpone what I already paid for and have not used for when I am better and able to participate . I was denied! Saying I signed a contract. I'm facing a difficult hardship and am unable to use the services that I have already paid them to give me. Lady was very rude and told me that my wellness package will expire and I will not get a refund even though I have not used any of my visits. I will be contacting the corporation and getting a hold of the CEO Peter Holt and contacting the BBB.. this is crooked. read more

I came in for the introductory special and could not be more disappointed. As for the actual care I received, I believe it was adequate (but honestly didn't help any of the concerns I had informed the chiropractor about), but very brief and rushed. The receptionist was nice, but, unfortunately, the chiropractor was incredibly rude to me and very unprofessional during the adjustment. Upon seeing me, the first thing he said was, "Wow, you look awfully tired." I explained that I had been having trouble sleepign associated with my back pain, but he was dismissive and looked at me very strangely. Having had recently turned 18 (and being able to do such appointments on my own), I was already nervous for the new experience. However, it was extremely rude when the chiropractor told me, "You know, chiropractic isn't just some bucket list item to go do when you turn 18. Chiropractic is a science which requires commitment and dedication, not something to just go do for fun." I felt extremely unwelcome in that moment and could not believe a chiropractor would speak to a potential patient in such a way. Perhaps he overheard me tell the receptionist that I would wait to sign up on a membership (they are very pushy, beware if you do the intro special), and felt my chiropractic needs were a waste of his time despite the fact that I had no clue the level of service he offered (why would anyone sign up for that BEFORE an introductory adjustment? That is literally the point of having an intro special, so people can try it out). I was a paying customer and felt unwelcome in this office, so I vehemently urge you to avoid The Joint Chiropractic (Santee) at all costs, unless you would prefer to receive a short, unprofessional, and pricey adjustment from a jerk. Traveling so much I tend to jump from joint to joint offices but finally I have made the leap to stick with the santee location every time I come in for a quick adjustment the dr gets everything fixed I tell him the issues with my hips and knees that others don't really focus there attention to and in the matter on minutes I'm back on my feet and ready to catch the next flight. Ok so I love this place and they really help my back. The reason for the review is for their admin policy. I've been coming here for a good while now and they take FSA & HSA cards so I have mine set up. Apparently, the payment declined somehow yesterday (plenty of $ on the card still and I haven't received a notice of declination from the provider). I asked if she can just get me in because my back is on the verge of going out again. They couldn't get me in. I get that it's a business and not a charity but it's not like I'm a stranger there and it's not like the card on file doesn't work or has no funding. I even pulled up the account to SHOW HER that there's funding and that there's no pending charges or anything. Still no dice. So I'll be canceling and taking my business elsewhere. Way to put money ahead of patients, just like every other screwed up place in our healthcare system. read more

I started going here a few weeks ago when I hurt my back very badly during a workout. I got signed up and adjusted within 15 minutes of arriving which is unheard of at any kind of Doctors office. The membership is a fraction of what I have paid in the past for chiropractic services. Every time I come, I'm in and out within 5-10 minutes feeling better than when I walked in. I see a huge difference in my mobility and the pain I get for over 6 months is gone!! I highly recommend this Location as they have a very friendly staff as well! read more

It's been about a year that I have been coming to 'The Joint' . I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to leave a review but this past week has been an eye opener for me, health wise. I was hesitant about chiropractic medicine because a free visit to another place in 2010 had me laid up for weeks. You see, I have chronic inflammation and didn't know it until recently. When you are inflamed, it's hard to get any muscles moving or any relief. After several tests I have had run recently, it has been determined that most of my issues are the result of inflammation. In 2017-2018 due to a whole summer in flip flops along with weight gain I suffered with severe plantar fasciitis and sciatica like no one's business! I had been to two doctors and spent hours online researching, that led me only to recommendations of orthotics, insoles, new shoes, Aleve, Advil ice and heat. I bought a " tens machine" from the fair, special massage devices I saw online and several pair of shoes that were supposed to correct the horrendous PAIN in my left foot and then traveling throughout my body. I spent more time trying to alleviate the pain that I couldn't even get out to exercise. Fast forward to my first initial walk in to check out Dr. Gabe's clinic in Santee: The front office staff was helpful with programs that would fit my need and my visit with Dr. G. was informative and thorough. He recommended I come 2x a week at first, which I did and... low and behold I was 100% cured in just 3 visits!!! I had no idea that being in alignment was everything!!! Dr G explained you can become out of alignment from just sitting too long, which I do when we travel and some days at my job. To date, I have not had any issues with any plantar fasciitis and I can feel when I need to go back in for a readjustment...usually once a week does the trick. Dr G is funny, personable and has advice on health and little tricks that help with certain ailments. He advised me to take turmeric which helps with inflammation...I'm one week in and most of my inflammation is gone. You'd be surprised how well you can crack when you don't have inflammation! :) I brought my daughter in, who had some back and neck issues from sitting improperly while studying and playing soccer...she too goes regularly and can't wait for her adjustment each week. The best thing about 'The Joint' is the time it takes to get an adjustment. I have never waited for more than 5 minutes and I can go as often as I want. I am hooked. P.S. I cancelled my Policy months ago and was just charged again., I called on the 16th and asked again to be canceled and for a full refund. Which i was told I would receive once my forms were filled out. I filled my forms out on the 17th and here it is the 26th and still have yet to receive my refund. I sent a message on Monday the 24th which I received no reply. I called today- the 26th for an update and was told that there is no records or notes on my account for my refund and there was nothing she could do. I was told I would need to wait till Friday for the owner to come in. I believe this is poor customer service as I have already waited over a week. When i asked if there was a way to expedite this so we can get the refund at least started that would be great seeing as I would still need to wait 5-10 business days for the refund to hit my account. This is poor service. I should not have to wait this long for a refund when you all received your money when you should have and I have no used the services. I have had about 4 adjustments so far by Dr Gabe and seemed to be getting good results. I am pleased with the amount of time it takes to get in and out without appointment. My own chiropractor couldn't see me until next week and after a rough takedown in my martial arts class, my neck was seriously tweaked. I've had reoccurring back pain for about 6 months now so I decided to finally go to a chiropractor. I was seen by Dr. Eyesen and she was absolutely amazing! I laid on my stomach and not even 2 seconds later she put her hand on the spot that was bothering me and told me I had a rib out of place. She popped it back and explained to me why that was happening. She was so gentle and personable. I feel SO much better!! The receptionist was one of the nicest people I have ever met also!
