Everyone is really friendly. The doctors rotate so if you're particular about a certain doctor you can see it on their pamphlet at the front. I saw Dr Renea during tue second half of my pregnancy and man did she save my life. She helped relieve my back, pelvic and leg pain especially during my 3rd trimester. It was easy to cancel my membership once I had surgery to deliver baby and my experience with the front desk was pleasant and caring. Great team out there at the Stafford office. It was weird. The front desk lady was cool when i first came i started filling out forms and then the patients visits were less than 10 minutes. This is my first time at a chiropractor idk if that's normal. But when i had to go up the dude was just off he was very strict and had a monotone voice not too welcoming. He touched my butt idk if that's normal too. His vibes were just off he didn't smile and it was frustrating because i couldn't tell him what type of pain i had. Then we got to the alignment all he did was elevate a certain area of the table i laid on and pushed me down. Nothing cracked on my back. The one memorable thing was the neck cracking that was good i appreciate it! Had two Groupons for this place. Made reservations for my wife and I and an hour before the appointments Kim the office manager (I'm assuming) called me to tell me that they don't accept Groupons. This Stafford office was listed on the Groupon as being one that was acceptable to redeem at. I want to mention that I had told her that I had Groupons when I originally made the appointments. Not a very good business model. We probably would've been repeat clients if they had honored the Groupons but now we will never set foot in that place. All to save $20.00 which was the difference between the two Groupons and what the initial consultations would've cost us both. read more

Update: I was finally refunded after months of wrong charges and they finally stopped charging my card. Great adjustments but terrible billing. I've been overcharged for the last 4 months. I've been patient. Each month the receptionists assures me it has been fixed. I ended up having to cancel due to the reoccurring headache and wasted time. Now they are ignoring me and not providing the refund from overages. If you don't mind being chriniovercharged and want a great adjustment with Dr.G then I say go for it. read more

I came in about a week ago to see Dr G after my hematologist finally said I could get chiropractic care, at least for the time being. Ther front desk girl was extremely nice! She made small talk with me while I waited, and was very informative about what I was going to be getting, as it was my first chiropractor appointment. I told her that I was unable to move my left shoulder without being in terrible pain, for about three days! She had me fill out paperwork and let DrG know my situation before I went back Dr G had to feel around my shoulder a lot and applied a lot of pressure to my armpit area which hurt a lil bit. After a few moments he could feel what was wrong and did the adjustment! It was my first one of my life and didn't hurt like I thought it would. Dr G let me know when he was going to do it and instructed me to take a deep breath beforehand to help with any potential pain or discomfort, which was perfect. He told me that my pecs were incredibly tight, and it seemed I had bicepital tenosynovitis. He even pulled up more information on it and showed me on the computer. I was advised to ice my shoulder, and that it may hurt a little before it felt better, which was true. I didn't ice tho, so that may not have helped! The shoulder hurt for another day and a half, but I was able to move it! After that, it's been back to normal! Ive been slowing down on my workouts, as my trainer told me to take a little time off to rest the shoulder. It was recommended to come back, so I may just have to add this to my regular wellness routine! read more

Amazing staff and quick service. In the past when I've injured my back my turn around time was a week or more. After only 3 visits my turn around time has dropped to less then 72 hours. Dr. Forbes is very knowledgeable and takes time to build a relationship with patients to further them in the recovery process. Dr G is amazing. I like that no appointment is needed. I will say that if it is busy in there you may not get the extra attention that you would get during the slower times. I prefer the slower times during the middle of the week. When it comes to the adjustment just be honest with them and let them know where it hurts or what is bothering you. THE GOOD: I tweaked my lower back and was left crooked and in incredible pain. If you've ever had this kind of injury, every movement or position feels hopelessly painful. I visited The Joint Chiropractor because I needed someone to try to get me out of the roller coaster of pain and I knew waiting on other doctors would take several days or weeks. No appointment was needed for The Joint Chiropractor. I had only visited one other chiropractor in my life, so this experience was still new to me. I dragged myself in from the parking lot after struggling to drive and walk, and there I met Dr. G who worked on my back for 15 minutes while offering light banter and recommendations. While standing up to leave and waiting for the rush of pain, I realized I was nearly straight and the pain had dulled significantly. I paid $108 for my appointment which included three more visits this month (plus two additional freebies). I figured it was money well spent considering other doctors would cost me a $40 co-pay for each visit and Dr. G proved his value in minutes. If you're in pain, visiting Dr. G is a no brainer, especially if you need a simple adjustment. Even for a one-time visit, you'll only spend around $40 - well worth it. THE BAD: Everyone seeking treatment sits in the exact same area where others are receiving treatment. This means if you are being worked on, you have multiple sets of eyes, unrelated to your care, watching you just feet away. It's humiliating and I've never seen a medical environment where patients get to observe one another. This facility does not offer x-rays, which means the treatment you receive may actually be hurting you. I have no idea how the doctors sidestep this major potential liability. No prescriptions mean you are on your own for inflammation and pain management. My 3-star rating is not because of the doctors, but because of the environment and lack of comprehensive medical care. read more

The most basic adjustment I received EVER attending the Joint, and I've been to locations in Cali, NJ, NC and now VA. The adjustment incorporated the table adjustment for my lower and upper back. The sound of the table being pushed was pronounced but not my back cracking. The neck adjustment was the only adjustment that cracked. No traction of neck or leg is done here. Waste of time and money. I signed up six weeks ago and have MAYBE gotten three joints in my neck to pop out of all the visits - which I could have done myself. First of all the service it's self is a joke. They claim to do right by service members but screwed over a vet and his family. We were charged incorrectly to the tune of $280 They will try to talk you into signing up for a plan, you will see no improvement, and then when you try to cancel they will continue to charge your card. I took my children once and they refused to return because the were "creeped out" the doc wasn't wearing a mask. They refused to refund this and continued to charge into the next month. I was also charged for the following month after we couldn't cancel because the doc wasn't in the office, but we filled out paperwork to cancel, apparently it didn't matter. Just don't do it. All I can say is...wow!! I visit my local Joint location back home in SC weekly but I'm visiting for the weekend and came down with a wicked migraine. Yoga this morning didn't help, nor did almost an hour of EFT, so I drove an hour from our hotel round trip to get an adjustment at this location. I loved the doctor's approach...he took his time, listened to my body and I walked out of there pain-free! This place is great! I walked in and the front desk woman was quick to welcome me and answer all of my questions. I had some hesitation and she gave me an information paper with prices and military discounts - I did not feel pressured at all. The easiness of our conversation made me want to get adjusted right there. I filled out the necessary paper work and the Dr. got right to me! He explained what he'd be doing and I told him where I was hurting. He adjusted me and it was instant relief in my upper back. I went in last Thursday as an emergency as I had pulled my back out working out that morning. Dr. G was very nice and professional and could see I was in pain. When I usually go to my chiropractor when I injure myself, they only treat the spot of the injury. He did a full spinal alignment and said it should heal better/faster because now my entire spine has been taken care of. He told me to ice and rest. I woke up the next morning about 70% better, I could actually stand upright. I rested all weekend and now I am 95% better. I have injured this area before and it usually had me out and in pain for at least 2-3 weeks. It has been 5 days and I feel almost completely back to normal. Thank you so much!! read more
