We also checked out some of the produce vendors and got some fresh peaches and a watermelon and they ended up being so sweet once we got home and tried them. I collect vintage Christmas ornaments (old school satin pushpin style), and there is an amazing vendor at the flea who stocks them in spades! I almost don't want to share that as I want to keep that secret to myself so I can get my favorites every time. She is so kind and even let me dig through her back stock for ones not on display yet. We ended up purchasing a beautiful blanket from The Nashville Blanket Project which gives a blanket to someone in need for each one purchased. It comes with an adorable "Keep Nashville Cozy" tote bag. My partner also purchased a (high premium) banana pudding in glassware that he devoured in a matter of minutes. (I'm not sure I recommend the double-digit price tag on that on, delicious as it was and vegn as it was.) All the stalls were dappled in sunlight, and the winter air felt more like a summer breeze. This was much more of a "bustling market" and since it is on the grass, families were able to spread out blankets and could stay to enjoy the live music! I very much enjoyed walking through and browsing, but as I had already purchased what I needed from the other farmer's market, I did not purchase anything this time around. However, I did feel that the vendors at the other location were a bit more personable and were very generous with samples and talking about what they offer. Today I got 3 giant bok choy for $3. Parking isn't fun, so I would recommend getting there early, or come with lots of patience and grace. Good variety of food trucks. You can go to their website and book to pick your own right from the tree. The orchard started in 1974 but was bought and remained in 2018. It was featured on Tennessee Crossroads and is Wilson county's first Honey-Wine Meadery. They also have Homemade Ciders and a Scratch Bakery that specializes in Fried Pies and Apple Cider Donuts among other Sweet Goodies. They have seasonal festivities and have an activity yard for the kids with interactive games, bee hives exhibition garden and a petting zoo.
