The mantra "Make Money and Sell Cheap" still allows these box companies to sell quality products within the price range of most consumers. I picked up a really good deal on an item at Homemakers on Douglas, and in addition had NFM deliver several high quality items at a good Memorial Day Sale price. Homemakers' is a place you can get some quality pieces at a reasonable price.

Brought our young kids. Nice staff who give grace to crazy kids. I don't recommend bringing the rug rats. They can easily scratch, damage something, or turn on and off the lamps- annoying the sales associates. So... def not kid friendly. You can immediately tell the quality of the furniture by touching. The durability compares to nothing in any other furniture store. They carry Palettes by Wineburg and are comparable in price to Homemakers. They offer more of a selection and someone who actually enjoys helping in customizing. They also can customize what you like from their floor models. We were able to receive a general quote for customization while we were there. With extra add ons the sales associate was able to email me a better estimate of price. They typically have sales throughout the year. Their best deals are right around Forth of July and Labor Day. Be patient when visiting on a busy day. They don't staff 20 people at a time. They have staff that you can work directly with and repeatedly for a more intimate business exchange. Expect to pay high price for high quality. Definitely recommend if you're looking for heirloom pieces. They keep up with furniture trends but also keep their classic looks to remain classic throughout the years.

Great room, office, bedroom, family room. They created a full plan, we made one or two very minor adjustments, and now we are living in our dream house with furnishings and rugs that perfectly complement the modern vibe. We (my husband and I) took my elderly mother in so she could sit in the chairs and pick one out. She can't stand long so after she was done, she went back to the car and had us stay to pay for the chair she wanted and get everything set up. The sales guy was even older than her, and he spent 15 minutes trying to understand us and enter all the information on those tablets they carry around. At that point I was halfway ready to leave without buying anything, had it been my chair and my money instead of for my mom with her money. Finally he got done with that and asked if we wanted to finance it, and we said "no, we're paying in full with cash". He then had us follow him to some little table, and then asks for our credit card. We repeat to him "we're paying with cash". He says "Oh, CASH cash. I'll have to get the manager for that." That right there put me from 50% ready to leave to 85% ready to leave without buying. Seriously, only the manager can do cash transactions? So we wait for HIM to show up. He finally does. He's in his 40s probably, this very large (rotund) guy who is the manager. Guess what the manager says to us at this point? He tells us that we have to wait while he goes to the back room to GET a cash drawer, prepare it and count it and everything that goes with getting a store ready in the morning BEFORE the store opens and customers come in, because we're the first cash customers he has had that day. Yes, you read that right, this manager (which he should NOT be) does not have a cash drawer ready for cash paying customers when the store opens. When the first one comes in SEVEN HOURS after they open, THAT is when he decides to get the store ready for his customers who pay in cash. We had to stand out there for another FIFTEEN minutes while he was back there doing that. Then when he comes out with it, of course the checking out process takes ANOTHER FIFTEEN minutes because when he prints out our receipt, it has a few things wrong on it (spelling of the last name, where it's to be delivered, etc.). So we have to have him go in and fix all the wrong information the very old sales guy put into the tablet. In the end, the receipt had to be printed 3 times because even though the "manager" re-entered the information correctly, he still wasn't doing it right. At this point I've checked out mentally, I was 100% ready to go without making the purchase when he finally came out with the drawer, so I am no longer talking to the manager or the sales guy. So, all the while during the checkout process, this "manager" is flirting with my husband right in front of me (I'm female and my husband isn't even into men). The manager is going on and on to my husband about all the great and wonderful things he (the manager) has done in his life and how he's such a great person. Especially about how when he was in high school, he was a manager at a fast food place and had people in their 40s working for him, a "kid". I'm just standing there silently laughing at this guy who clearly didn't get THIS job as manager at Bob's buy being a good manager or customer service person, and how I know how he did get the job. Also I'm silently laughing at how he thinks he's special for being a teenage manager at a fast food place, as that's very common. It was so cringe to stand there watching him try to get a straight guy to fall for him like that. We will never set foot in there again, and my mother also told me she will never do so again either, and told me that she would have been ok with me telling the manager to go to you know where and walked out without buying her chair.

World Market carries a TON of chai mixes and teas that come to much less than $7 a drink. Lol While the store is fun to browser the online site is user friendly and often offers 15% off for an in store pick up order...which is exactly what I did last night. I purchased three different varieties of David Rio chai mixes and some gummy peach rings with tajin, chiles, and limon. I placed the order online at about 200 PM and it was pulled and ready by 430 PM. Your mileage may vary. On arriving at the store I headed up to a register and let the employee know I was there to pick up an online order. It was pulled and brought to me quickly. The staff is friendly and parking is easy. And there are a great group of adjacent businesses and restaurants nearby if you are in the mood to shop a little more... World Market is a great place to just kill some time. Especially for a foodie! I work just a few blocks away so it's nice and convenient. The online system make it so easy! Almost too easy...
