Out of the menu, we ordered clam chowder, El Captain on fireside bread, the Cheeseburger quesadilla, the High Point, chicken tenders, kids cheese pizza, and fries. LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE FRIES. Unlike any fries I've had before. Like a fat crispy version of a curly fry. Soft and fluffy on the inside, nicely crisp and you could tell the oil was clean. We ordered extra fries to go. The clam chowder was good, but different. A little grainy with what tasted like basil. But it was loaded with clams and the portion was generous. My kids were really happy with the pizza and tenders. Again, everything tasted fresh. The cheeseburger quesadilla was soooo good with mushrooms, onions, and the sauce on top. Tortilla was still crispy despite the sauce. The chicken sandwiches were good. Not the highlight of the table but the fireside bread it was on was delicious. I think everything else at the table was so full of flavor, they just didn't shine. But nonetheless very satisfying and the chicken was cooked perfectly. My kids said they would drive the hour just to eat here again. I don't disagree!
