What a great find! I was passing through and looking for a spot to eat and happened upon Lori's. I can't say enough, what a nice place. The owners were so nice and inviting! In the 30 mins I ordered and ate I left feeling like I made friends! To make things better, the food was phenomenal! I love tuna melts, it's my go to, and I'm a snob. Hah. They suggested using their homemade sweet pepper relish on the tuna melts and well, I'm pretty sure they've ruined all other tuna melts forever! The homemade potato salad was delicious too. And obviously I had to leave with a homemade snicker brownie thing! Unreal. 10/10 this is my new spot to eat every time I'm in the area! Highly recommend! read more

I recently had them cater for a celebration following a funeral. I was not familiar with their food but saw that people loved their sandwiches/wraps and food on line, and a friend knew someone who recommended them. The best thing was when I got someone on the phone immediately when I called and then the owner spoke to me personally. After attempting to find someone to cater and getting no answers and having to fill out information on line and wait for a call back it was such a blessing to just get someone willing to listen and help Immediately!! After that, it just got better! Can't thank you all enough for being there at a difficult time. Everyone Loved the food - beautiful presentation and delicious wraps, sandwiches and salads!! Each person I spoke to that day enjoyed it and wanted to know who the food was from. I already recommended them to relatives and friends and I'm happy to say they were great Again! Our office ordered from this place 2 days in a row. The first day it took over an hour to deliver and they forgot items, food was mediocre at best. The 2nd day we ordered breakfast sandwiches (how do you screw up a breakfast sandwich). The one on toast arrived and when we opened it the bread was moldy in multiple spots. I called them and was told that she could not credit me as I placed the order online and it goes through a 3rd party (ChowNow). The 3rd party is not letting them refund so I can call the 3rd party and have them credit me. They never offered to make a new sandwich and made it sound like I was lying when I told her that there was mold on the bread. Her reply was "well there shouldn't be" NO KIDDING. One of my co-workers drove it over to the restaurant and they made a new one and was told that I can call to get the credit for the inconvenience. I called over to the 3rd party and spoke with them and then received an email stating that the deli refused the refund. Total scumbag move. Lost business from our office. read more

This place is constantly packed for lunch time. There are always large orders coming in from nearby businesses and people walking out with giant boxes of food. They do not take cookie orders during lunch because they are so busy making delicious sandwiches and salads. My personal favorites are the chicken caprese panini and the chicken cordon bleu salad with Parmesan peppercorn dressing. YUMMY. Most salads and sandwiches are between $8-$11, portions are large and most sandwiches come with chips and a pickle. Definitely my go to sammy shop in Norwich. read more

If I could give no stars, I would, however, I guess one will suffice. Today, I went to my nail salon, which is unfortunately right next to this deli. I understand the parking lot is small and the 2 businesses share parking. When I arrived, I could not park in the last nail salon parking spot because the car next to it had parked way over the line and no one could fit. I parked in a spot next to it and as soon as I exited my vehicle, a woman from the deli came outside and told me that if I was not going to the deli, that I could not park there and had to park across the street. I told her there was no sign in front of that spot stating parking was only for the deli and she stated I could then park in the spot I originally attempted to park in. I told her I couldn't fit because of the other car taking up 2 spots. She stated it was her car and that she would move it. She did and I was able to park. It would be nice if employees utilized off street parking so their customers don't have to park far and walk. The deli should make sure they have parking signs in front of all of their spots that are theirs so it's clear. The real issue, however was this deli employee's interaction with a young girl that I witnessed. Two girls had to park further away from the nail salon and had some words with the deli employee that I did not catch in it entirety. What I did catch, however, was when the young girl asked the employee from the deli why she was still yelling at her, the woman responded with, "You're a snotty little bitch." That was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. I have never eaten at Lori's Deli and Bakeshop and I can tell you that based on that encounter, I never will. I will be sure to pass her kind words along to ensure none of my friends or family give them any business either. read more

Very good food, never had a bad meal yet. HOWEVER be careful when ordering by credit card. I ordered lunch once & just signed my name on the slip. When I got my bank statement I noticed they had ADDED a $2.00 tip. Not a lot of money. Not worried about that, that's not the point. It's MY money. I choose whether I'll leave a tip or not. This was such an unexpectedly pleasant lunch stop for us. Lisa made excellent sandwich recommendations for me and my husband. My chicken caprese panini had thick, juicy chicken, creamy buffalo mozzarella, fresh tomato, roasted red peppers, and pesto. I added olives. It was toasted to perfection and packed up with lots of chips and a super tasty, fat pickle. I love fat pickles. Lisa chatted with us while the panini was panini-ing and she was so friendly and just genuinely nice. The menu was extensive and the ingredients were high quality. I'd definitely recommend this sweet spot if you're in Norwich...and it's a quick hop off the highway if you're hungry and despise rest stop food. read more

Not my favorite place! Usually I'm a Ceaser wrap kinda gal at any place like this. Which is what I ordered. Their ceaser wrap is supposed to be made with Romain lettuce and I asked for it to be made on a spinach wrap. I got neither. Also no croutons, and hardly any Parmesan cheese. Very disappointed!! The wrap tasted like iceberg lettuce in a wrap it hardly even had chicken or Cesar dressing. I will not be back. For $9.50 I received an iceberg lettuce wrap, with chips and a pickle! Absolutely love stopping here for my lunches. Its a locally owned small business, and as such the people here are always very very kind, polite, and happy to take your orders. The menu is quite nice, with plenty of options, I particularly stop here for salads, and they knock them out of the park, wonderful salads and nice prices, as well as quick to make your orders, too. In addition the baked goods I've gotten here are quite delicious aswell. The only downside with this place, is its location, parking isn't very easy to get out of, but once you've done it a few times, its easily acceptable. read more
